I recently hired Top Dog for a move -- and it turned out to be the worst decision I've made all year. During the move, one of the movers entered my private bathroom without asking permission. He remained in there for several minutes, during which I was still being charged for his time. This was not only unprofessional but also a clear violation of boundaries. When I called the company to address the matter, the response was dismissive and unprofessional. The representative told me he "didn't see a problem" and compared the situation to letting a mover use his own bathroom. I explained that my bathroom had been professionally cleaned the day before -- and I had not even used it myself yet. I requested they arrange for it to be cleaned again, but my concern was brushed off. I was told they would "call back after speaking with the worker," but I never received any follow-up. No apology. No offer of resolution. No discount. Nothing. This company demonstrated a complete lack of respect for its customers and their property. I was so pleased with Top Dog Moving! This is my third move in 10 years and 3rd company, but this is the only company I'll use to move locally from now on. We moved from a 3rd floor 3 BR apartment to a 2-story house, so the 4 guys got to do a lot of stairs. They were very polite, worked extremely hard, and had us moved in 5 hours. We packed everything ourselves, but they wrapped the furniture, anything breakable, and then unwrapped things and put everything where we asked them to put it, or where the box was marked for it to go in the house. They were super professional and extremely nice. They made quick and careful work of loading our stuff onto the truck and made sure that the furniture was disassembled and wrapped to prevent damage. At the house they made sure that things were placed in the appropriate rooms and the furniture was set up and arranged how we wanted it. The furniture pieces they put back together were actually reassembled better than when we originally purchased them!! After lots of recommendations, conversations and nightmare stories about moving experiences from other neighbors, we took a chance on Top Dawg based upon their responsiveness, straightforward and fair pricing and their word to communicate and the insurance they offered. Our move was twofold: we needed 4 storage cubes of household items unloaded and then reloaded into their moving truck, which was nice and clean and tidy upon a timely arrival. Communication was great throughout the whole process, they confirmed the day before and also called when they were 30 min away, I never wondered what was going. On moving day three younger dudes showed up in a 26' truck and they were really nice, had great attitudes and they got right to work. They asked plenty of questions about how I wanted my stuff transported or if anything was delicate or extra valuable. They even helped take my bed frame apart and reassembled it at the new house. When it was all over they sat down and went over the bill with me and I was able to pay it digitally, which is a nice touch. My total time was about 5 hours to move a 1400 sq ft 2bd/2ba with furniture in every room and two big TVs. If you're like me, you probably hate the idea of moving and hate the idea of moving with a slimy moving company. My husband and I just moved cross country from California with a large moving company and it was an utter disaster. Our stuff came over 3 weeks late with terrible communication all around. I recently had Too Dawg do a local move in town and the crew they sent was defiantly the A team, Will and his crew Kieran and Jaden did a fantastic and speedy move, charging by the hour with a 2 hr minimum was ok as I had a 1 bedroom apt move that was less than a mile away....the 2 hours would have been accomplish but as fate would have it the elevator broke down in the new apt bldg. and being on the fourth floor they had to climb 3 flights of stairs the company needed to add a 3rd person because of the stairs which put in a small additional fee which was understandable... these guys were relentless (thank god) and did the entire move in about 3 hours...impressive company and great crew! They were late arriving; Then they spent 15 minutes of the charged time either using my bathrooms (unbeknownst to me) and wasting time gong back and forth to a truck which was NOT part of the move. They attempted to use materials I explicitly told them not to use ( I had my own provided ) They DID NOT stay on task and explicitly ignored repeated instructions to move furniture instead of moving a bunch of light weight boxes. At the end, where I expressed my complete dissatisfaction with their wasteful use of my time, they had the audacity to ask for gratuity. These guys were the worst movers that I've ever used to date. They arrived about 10 minutes late, they were very slow, and they damaged my Sony 55" TV, ripped my Tempur-Pedic mattress, and scratched my diploma frame. They took a little over 3 hours to load up the truck and about 3 hours to unload the truck. They then spent an additional 2 hours putting together (2) beds which they did a very poor job doing despite the fact that I had asked when I scheduled the move if it was something they did. But the worst part of everything was that they denied all the damages. They claimed that there was no way they ripped the Tempur-Pedic mattress because it had (2) U-Haul mattress covers but the reality is that the U-Haul covers are thin because they are primarily meant to protect the mattress from dirt not damage. They claim that the TV was not their fault because they protected it in a U-Haul TV box but I know it was them because I watched the morning news before they arrived on it. More importantly I know it was them because I saw them totally mishandled the TV when they tried to force it in the box without removing the legs and then they put the TV face down directly on the floor with no protection to remove the legs. After the move management decided to give me $400 towards the damages, which they did not have to do because I chose the lower insurance coverage, for this reason I gave them two stars instead of one. Make sure you pay for the full insurance coverage if you decide to use these guys. read more

Best of the best! Top Dawg was recommended to me by another former Miamian who moved to Atlanta. When you live in South Florida, you become accustomed to flakiness and subpar service, so I was completely blown away by how professional this company is. It was easy to get a quote over the phone, they communicated with me along the way, and the guys who they sent on the day-of were very diligent. I hired them to unload a U-Haul truck and they were very careful with all of my belongings and made sure several times to ask whether everything was placed exactly where I wanted it. A caster wheel fell off one of my chairs at one point (could have happened in Miami or anywhere along the way) and they made sure to reattach it. What I also appreciated is that they charged me for exactly the amount of time that it took to do the work. They didn't factor in the time it took to arrive, move the U-Haul, show them where to unload, where the elevator/stairs were, etc. A lot of companies would charge for a full hour even if you only used 15 minutes of it, so it was nice that this company did not. If you pay with credit card, a fee is charged, but there is no fee for paying with a check (which is what I did). Because it was a Saturday move, the costs were slightly higher - it was $430 for 2.25 hours. I will 100% hire them again the next time I move. read more
