So I didn't visit this place directly, but, rather, my child visited the therapist upstairs. My child is potentially on the spectrum of autism. His therapist incorporates play therapy, and being that he is 5, he sometimes has a propensity to jump or hop down from something (or just sit down with a thud). Well, the lady who works at this place has proceeded to either bang on the ceiling or walk upstairs with this entitled attitude like it is not a shared office. There is no insulation in the ceiling, so of COURSE it is loud. Further, the children these therapists are working with already have a hard time processing and dealing with explosions of emotion, and these types of people make it all that much harder. There are no questions, no politeness, nothing. Just entitlement as if she owns the building. SUPER frustrating and I'm hopeful that she understands what she's doing to these kids with her behavior and attitude. read more

Today was my first visit to Georgia Renew Clinics in Gainesville, Georgia. It is with all of my heart that I write this review of Georgia Renew Clinic in Gainesville, Georgia. I suffered a perfect storm of tragic events several years ago that brought on PTSD and major depression. For years, I struggled with the whole mindset of negative emotions, feelings, physical pain and discomfort; not having the desire nor the energy to achieve the simplest activities of daily living except by sheer force of the will. Like everyone who suffers in this way, hopeless and in a constant state of anxiety, I devoted myself to trying to get help and heal myself to become normal again. Nothing worked, not even a little bit. I thought that my mind and life were too far gone to ever extract my mind from this torment. Then, I started seeing a therapist who introduced me to mindfulness but also asked if I had ever considered ketamine therapy. I knew about it in passing but, didn't realize it was available to the general public. I called the Renew Clinic and was thrilled to hear that they could start right away with therapy. This was to be my last attempt at seeking healing. I had no reason to think that it would work for me other than what I had researched about this therapy. I started the recommended course of therapy and was very, very scared after the first few treatments because I feared that it might not be working. Then after only 3 treatments, something happened in me which I choose to call a miracle. I was no longer feeling depressed. Even though the research shows that it happens quickly, I did not in any way think that it was possible but there you have it, I was depression-free. It took a little longer for my anxiety to dissipate but I was prescribed a nasal spray and even the terrible steel claws of anxiety finally loosened its' grip.
