We stopped to fill gas and next door was this cool place. From the back the brown building looked closed but if you go around, it's open for business. I stayed in the car with T Bebe. When they came out Doc was SO excited and told me I must go in. I love peach fragrances ie peach soap or spray. I heard a worker say we have 99% of our samples so let us know if you want to try something. Doc and Hubs got us peach cobbler with peach ice cream on top for extra, peach slushies, fudge and more. I looked at what I could get for the kiddies. I saw an alligator claw, sling shot and wooden gun shape rubber band shooter but I feared he might use it on his sister so I bought a safe tic tac toe board with pieces for him. Prices are expensive though, and it honestly seems like a gimmick of a place. This tiny little shop is loaded with Peach goodness. I'm not the biggest peach fan, however the sign for slushies got us to stop. They were very sweet, and free samples were flowing. Stopped at Georgia Peach World during a road trip to grab a loaf of bread for the following morning. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to our destination and someone noticed mold growing on BOTH sides of the loaf. Mind you, this was a $15.99 loaf of bread with an expiration date of 5/27/26. Trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt, I called before disputing the charge. After speaking with the manager, the employee came back on the line to tell me they wouldn't reimburse me because they "checked the lot" and apparently all the other loaves were fine. Interesting logic considering the moldy loaf was sitting right in front of us. We offered receipts and photos as proof and they didn't even want to see them. So instead of customer service, accountability, or basic concern for selling moldy food, they chose denial. For a place charging nearly $16 for bread, you'd think quality and customer care would matter a little more. Save your money unless mold is part of your meal plan. read more

I always stop at one of their locations on my way to or from Savannah. We had a great experience, the ladies working were very kind and informative on what they had available. Let us know they had shipping available too. We got to sample a TON of stuff but truly one of the best things we bought was the ghost pepper salsa. It's HOT HOT HOT! We loved every bite of it. We decided to come to peach world because we actually thought it was gonna be a farmers market/store/diner/restaurant. You can imagine our surprise when it turned out to be a souvenir/very small market. When you think of "World" you imagine a big establishment with unlimited supply of Peach anything and it wasn't. There was 1 clerk who was very nice. The store itself is a bit aged but they do have peach salsas, rub, nuts, bread and wine. We decided to get some Sweet Georgia Heat nuts and Peach monkey bread. They were both really good which is what earned the 3 stars. Other than that, had we not been misinformed as to what Peach World actually was, we probably wouldn't had stopped. Is this a tourist option for all things peaches in Georgia, absolutely. You can probably gather that from the 100 billboard signs you will pass on the highway, but the products are good. With that being said, expect things to be a little overpriced. This isn't your local grocery store where you are looking to get something on sale, so just come in with that frame of mind and you won't be disappointed. I have been to Georgia Peach World twice on drives through Georgia and always look forward to stopping in for some fresh pecans. They come in a variety of flavors and offer some samples if you want to try before you buy. I will also add that these pecans may be the largest I've ever seen. This is no grocery store pecan. This time around, peaches were in season and I picked up a small basket, about 9, to being gone for a pie. I will say they were really under ripened so prepare to wait a few days to eat them, but were delicious by day 4! Looking forward to my pie! Overall, go in with reasonable expectations. I stopped for gas right next door and saw this place and decided to stop in. Everything here is neatly displayed and organized. If you want some really delicious pecans and peach products then it's definitely worth your time. They have a variety of bagged pecans,whole pecans in shells, or plain unshelled pecans, confectionery coated pecans, spicy coated pecans, and my personal favorite chocolate covered pecans. At the front counter you can sample all of these. ( my problem is the chocolate covered pecans I couldn't stop eating.) As I walked around I saw interesting products made from fresh peaches including raw honey and peach scented candles. I bought Peach Praline Butter, Peach Brittle and a Peach dressing for salad, Peach Jelly Beans,and of course a large bag of their chocolate covered pecans. They sell all different types of Moonshine, Wine, and Peach Cider which is unique. While your there you can also pickup homemade coffee cakes and tee-shirts.I believe they have some toys for kids too. This is a unique store so you will pay more for things, but it's so worth it. Everything I bought was delicious. The woman behind the counter was very friendly. I felt like I was transported back to the old South. I stopped at Peach World, driving out of St. Simon's Island to get back to Soith Carolina. The store is quaint and cute with a plethora of samples next to the product. I bought Vidalia onion peach salsa, Georgia sweet heat pecans, and the fresh peach cobbler with ice cream. The peach cobbler was the best th9ng EVER! so they had the fresh cobbler proportioned in a Styrofoam cup in a heated oven, then for $1, add ice cream, and I did just that. The ice cream is what sets Peach World apart from any other peach cobbler you've had because they put a scoop of peach soft served ice cream over the freshly made cobbler. This was to die for! Guess how I was feeling on Friday? Just peachy! So guess where we went? You betcha we went to Georgia Peach World (GPW) and what a perfect place to be when you're feeling peachy! I have noticed their billboards on the side of the road every single time we go down I-95 heading South and I've always wondered what it was like and added it to my hit list. Two weeks ago, I was in FL when I noticed that 2 Yelp friends, (shoutout to Meg W. and Aisha H.) left a review for the Townsend location the same week. They both put it back on my radar, so I planned to stop there on the way back home. Unfortunately, it never happened (insert sad face). Then I was talking to my neighbor and I was mentioning how I was planning to go to Townsend one day to check out GPW when school was out, since it wasn't too far from Savannah and she says "Isn't there one on US-17?"... Excuse me? What?! I packed up my youngest in the car and off we went! It is located on US-17 in Richmond Hill and their next door neighbor is Local on 17 (the steakhouse). - Parking - They have their own lot. - Eats & Refreshments - Oooooof course, I had to get both! You should know me by now... Peach Slushie - Oh my word! The flavor was so intense that I thought it was almost artificial flavoring, but I was assured that it was all natural. Straight up puree mixed with some sugar, thrown in the slushie machine. It was so good and so refreshing on that hot day! Peach Soft Serve - No words except go now! Again, peach puree thrown in the soft serve machine with heavy cream. It was so creamy and smooth and very peachy! So, one thing to note is that the two items were a bit pricey. Both came out to $13 or so. Probably because of the amount of peach puree used? However, here is a tip. We got the reusable and refillable blue cup with straw, because we are locals and can come back to refill! Refills for the slushies are only $2! Not on the soft serve though (again, sad face). - Service - There were two ladies working. One outside at the fruit stand and one inside the store. The lady outside was so sweet and polite, but seemed like she was newly hired as she directed all my questions to the lady inside. The lady inside was super nice and well, peachy. No really, you ask her how she is and she will respond "Just peachy". Cute. Very cute. LOL. She was super knowledgeable and explained all the items they had to offer, how they make them, where they source their ingredients, their other locations and answered all my questions. - Vibe - The building has a giant peach and a giant earth painted on the side. When you walk in, you immediately run into a giant taxidermy turkey (she said the owner bought that one) placed on a barrel in the entrance, so don't be alarmed. Inside, you will find a very country, farm store feel. All the counters and walls are lined with panels of wood. Things are in either barrels and there is a cart inside with merchandise. The lady said they try to source all local and natural ingredients. For example, there were pecans in shells that were from a farm about 2 hours away (by the way, they were last batch of the season). They also have candied pecans that they make from those previously mentioned pecans, (there are samples), various jams, butters, Peach Shine (moonshine), preserved peaches, salsas, hot sauces and a lot more. There is so just so much! - Kiddos - There are also 2 things throughout the store, that when you press a button, something comes out of the wooden box on the top shelf with a song. Refer to pics. The kids will get a kick out of that. When we lived in Hawaii, we had pineapples. We lived down the road from the Dole Plantation and because of that, we are scarred for life with pineapples. Now we live in Georgia and we have peaches and I'm afraid that when we leave here one day, we will be scarred with peaches! I already know how much I will miss Georgia Peach World! read more

The staff are friendly and helpful even when they're outside in the blazing humid GA heat. However, the problem with the outdoor products i.e. the peaches, watermelon etc. need better handling. My friend bought a bucket of peaches but had to look for 15 minutes to find peaches that were barely bruised. My second trip was to give the fresh peach cobbler a shot. This was not it, the cobbler had a thick gelatinous syrup, way undercooked cobbler crust, and no flavor. Very disappointing... Reading other reviews with similar complaints and those reviews show no response from seller. I will be contacting the BBB in GA, of which Peach World is not a member. What w wonderful place to stop in Georgia off Interstate 95 to buy all things Georgia. A young man named Kyle assisted me several times and checked me out at the register. He was very polite and smiled often during my visit at this store. I could see he enjoyed his job. Our first encounter at the store was when he saw me looking at fudge on a table. He saw me looking at the Peach fudge and noticed that there were no samples. He asked if I would like a sample and I said yes. He got it for me and it was delicious. A chunk of peach fudge was the first item I picked up to purchase. It was a mouthful of total deliciousness. I also bought Peach salsa, Peach & Vadilia Onion Hot Sauce, Bar B Q Sauce, A Mason Quart Jar of Sweetened Ice Tea, Frig magnet and a post card. The Peach Tea is very good. It was a little expensive (almost $4). It was sweetened perfectly and ice cold. The postcard was ridiculously marked high. $1.99 for a postcard is way to much. There were only 3 in their selection. I feel that everything else was priced reasonably. Tee shirts and hoodies are expensive but at a tourist trap to be expected. I have posted several pictures of items offered here. There is plenty of parking on their lot. The restroom was very clean and stocked well. Kyle very much made my visit PERFECT. I will stop again and try some Peach ice cream. They have a lot of canned goods, jams, wines, some baked goods and their slushees and ice cream. I noticed a lot of chopped wood out front. We were offered a slushee sample when we came in. They had cookie and snack samples out too. We left with a dog treat and 2 peach ice creams for $18. I was surprised at the cost. I wished the ice cream was more peachy for $6 a pop. Peach World is one of those tourist traps you just have to stop in. While driving through, we started seeing the billboards..."Peach Jam", "Peach Salsa", "Peach Syrup", "Peach Everything!". The amount of signage is absolutely hilarious. This location was the nicer looking of the two (I think it is more new too). They really do have peach everything. We got some syrup, some hot sauce, and ice cream cones. The ice cream cone was worth the stop alone. Nothing felt overpriced. Definitely worth a quick stop on a road trip. read more
