I really wasn't planning to stop here this morning. I swear! I was driving to my next stop with determination because you know, I had a lot of places to go and people to see and then, the stop light ahead....it turned red (Nasso is located on the corner). Dang it! I made a sharp turn and found myself on its doorstep. I hadn't eaten breakfast, after all. I have had their donuts on a couple of occasions from friends or family bringing it over. I had never been to the actual shop. I always like to see where my food comes from, kinda like putting a face to the name. Ya know? Parking - They are located in a strip of businesses. Center lot. Plenty of parking. Service - There were 2 young guys working the counter, one serving the donuts and the other on cash. The one serving donuts was nice as he waited for my youngest to make up her mind after switching about 3 times. There were so many colors in that showcase. Do you blame her?! What we ate - My child had the chocolate cake-y kind with chocolate glaze, topped with chocolate sprinkles. She's intense like that. It looked delicious but I wouldn't know. It's all gone and no bites for Mommy. Insert sad face. I, on the other hand, took a twist donut, the more doughy kind, glazed with chocolate. Mmmmmm.....I loved the twist donuts when I was a kid. I guess I still do! It was so airy and doughy that when I took a bite, the donut stuck together where I bit it. Do you know what I mean? My child looked at me in amazement as I inhaled the donut in about 3 bites. I should have gotten a second one to compensate for the bite I was never offered from my child. Vibe - It's a small space but it has a couple of tables so you can sit down and stay awhile and enjoy your goodies. It was nice and bright in there and the main attraction is of course, that brightly lit showcase of donuts. They also had some salty items on the right that I noticed only after I sat down. The donuts caught my attention. All the colors just shine through. They still have one of those wired, lighted giant teddy bear with a Santa hat holding a present from Christmas inside which was totally random or maybe they're one of those all year round Christmas people. What an amazing little shop. I am "hooked" on their great selection and service. You will never get a stale donut at Nassos...baked fresh every day! The shop is full of enticing colors and treats. I was thrilled to find you can actually choose the filling you love for your fill-up favorite. The croissants are yummy! My fave is the bacon, egg and cheese but the ham and sausage are also delish! It is a thrill for kids to make this an anytime special day! They are only open Tues-Sun 5am-1pm and there are days you may find them "empty" by 1:00 so the door will be locked and a sign on the door. I have been excited to get there on a Monday only to remember they are closed! Took me a few times to remember! While disappointed, at either, nothing could deter me from trying again! Great find. Ordered the ham, egg and cheese croissant. Loved the croissant. Next time I would love to get just a plan croissant. The coffee is also pretty good. Got there early and there was plenty to select from. Next time I am going to try the long john donut. My recommendation is for the place to have plain croissants and to have croissant sandwiches without meat. Another person in line also wanted plain croissants. Plain croissants would sell. read more

This is the second best donut I ever had in my life, and I am an old dog. The quality of the donut was suburb , very fresh , good size , excellent taste. I would strongly recommend this as a must do for any donut connoisseur. I will most definitely return to this establishment. Been here a few times, can't go wrong with a good ole donut. I like the fact that you can get your Long John's and other appropriate filled donuts loaded with a variety of fillings... sooo good. If I could give this place a zero star review I would. I understand I showed up at 12:59 but I had been wanting to try this place and as I was literally walking to the door the employee ran to the door to beat me, locked it and turned the sign off. That is horrible customer service and I will never try to go here again! We exited the highway to get to Dunkin' Donuts and saw this place instead. We got excited because we love to support small business when we can and we thought a mom and pop donut shop would be a great way to do just that. I wish I could say we had a more positive experience. The bathroom was clean, which means a lot to me! But the coffee is just kind of meh, the donuts are not spectacular, and when we tried to order breakfast sandwiches, we were told that they were already out of all of that for the day, even though they don't close for three more hours. All in all I wish we would've just kept on driving to Dunkin' Donuts. read more

Are the doughnuts here better than any other doughnut that you can find in the surrounding area? Absolutely this place is definitely worth the 30 minute trip to their doughnuts that's even more impressive considering Savannah has a lot of doughnut places but none of them can top this. Their doughnuts are always fresh, the restaurant is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Eaten every donut I could find in Savannah, and this one is the best, based on flavor, location, and shop appearance. The yeast donuts I raved about. I don't know how they got the dough so flavorful but it is amazing. Would eat without glaze that's how good. The shop was very clean and organized. If you've been to rise, bakers pride or KK in Savannah and didn't like them, (like me) this is your place. Get away from all the sad corporate donuts around town and come here. read more

Pretty annoyed and disappointed. Your hours are posted online and in front of the store, yet you lock the doors an HOUR before closing time. I get it. Things happen, or maybe you ran out of everything. I don't know. You could post a sign saying you had to close early. Be considerate of your customers. For someone coming the first time who drove specifically to come there, it's pretty frustrating. Heard great things about this shop. After today's experience, they are less than my heart desires. I am an apple fritter lover. After sampling one of my large fritter order, I wish I had sample one first. I am accustom to apple fritters containing 'apples'; however, I did not get the apple taste from the first one eaten. Additionally, the fritter price is approximately 60-70% higher than other local vendors; the edges appeared overcooked; and in my opinion coated with excessive sugar icing. I am not satisfied with this experience and unfortunately will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
