She and her awesome assistant Missi put me at ease immediately. They and the entire office staff are genuinely kind people who care about people and you feel that the minute you walk in. I have been in for procedures as well as rechecks and they are all just as helpful, caring, and accommodating whether it's a Monday morning or later in the week. Doctor Baker seems to embrace new technology and procedure changes and adjustments as they come along. I have never gotten the vibe of that old school, resistant to change atmosphere I have found in other offices. As procedures are done, Dr. Baker explains what she is doing and is continuously conscious of my comfort level. Her assistant, Missi knows her stuff and the two of them work perfectly together. Missi is very attentive and concerned about discomfort as well. Even my chapped lips were tended too while I was there. I was also offered a blanket before my procedure. I have always left there with all my questions answered and complete instructions for my aftercare, prescriptions, and a realistic expectation of upcoming pain levels and duration. I also have the Dr.'s cell phone in case I have any issues. I would prefer to not have dental work done at all, but since that's not an option I feel blessed to have found them. This is a great doctor with an awesome staff.. right down to scheduling, payment processing, and acknowledgement of your arrival and departure. If I could I would give them more stars. Who knew I could ever give a great review to someone cutting into my gums!!

This is really funny because I schedule an appointment the week before and I went to the Lawrenceville office for the appointment only to find out that my appointment was canceled because I did not confirm. I have nothing bad to say about Dr Lee. I never confirmed an appointment. I see other posts that highlights the negative customer service. Following the last unfortunate and unprofessional conduct of the workers at the Lawrenceville location, I called my dentist, Dr. Erin Pickwick, on Tuesday, October 14, for a referral to another periodontist. She recommended Dr David Pearson. Therefore, I disconnected myself from the practice well before Tarra thought it was a good idea.

To backtrack, my consultation with Dr. Kirkland was a few weeks ago, and as they say, first impressions, are lasting. In this case it was very positive, and I was very impressed with the office. I was greeted warmly at check in, and they offered bottled water in the waiting room. After I waited for a few minutes, Lynn called me in, who is one of the office's Surgical Assistants, and she also greeted me warmly, and gave me a tour of the office. The office is NICE! It has a super tranquil energy, is very clean, and the rooms where you're treated face a wooded area! - it actually feels more like a yoga or meditation center! After I was given a tour, I was taken to Dr. Kirkland's office, which is a glass haven!, and asked to wait (oh, and I was given a new patient gift at this point too, which um, never happens in a Dentist office! Loved it!). There was a menu of add ons I was able to review while I waited (add ons for surgery like an eye mask, ear phones, etc., that you could request to make the experience more pleasant). When Dr. Kirkland came in, she was very nice and really took the time to find out how I like to receive information, so should could communicate information in the best way for me. After we spoke and talked through what I had been advised by my dentist, Dr. Allen Bowns, then we went into the exam room and she took a look herself. She confirmed what they believed I needed, which was tissue graft surgery for my receding bottom gums. I really REALLY appreciated the time she spent with me to explain what the surgery would do - my options of using my own tissue or donor tissue, and what to expect with recovery. I did not feel rushed and I felt like I was armed with information to make the best decision for me. I also did not feel pressured to schedule an appointment, but I was explained that in my best interest, it would be beneficial to consider having it sooner so the gums did not get worse. During the appointment, actually I think even before!, I had already made up my mind that I was going to do it. After my consultation wrapped, I told Dr. Kirkland I would like to make the appointment and scheduled the appointment for yesterday. So to the surgery! I had the surgery yesterday and a good friend of mine went with me for moral support (thank god for great friends!). I went ahead and paid at check in (at the consultation they do a good job reviewing payment options with you so you know what to expect and what to budget for). I took 1/2 a star off of this review because at check in yesterday they quoted me a different amount than what they quoted me at my consultation, but thankfully we got it resolved quickly, and it wasn't a bad experience. It just added a little stress to an appointment where I did already have a bit of anxiety going in. But they were very nice and professional while we figured it out! The surgery itself was for a surgery, really great! Lynn was THE best and did a great job prepping me on what to expect and reviewing all of the post recovery things to know and medications I'd be taking, and she spoke clearly to me and to my friend - who was awesome taking notes! I did take another 1/2 star off here too because she was surprised when I did not take one of my medications before surgery (Ibuprofen 600). Apparently I was supposed to get medication from the pharmacy before my appointment, but when Dr. Kirkland's office called me to get my pharmacy information, they didn't advise me to do this, so I didn't know. Thankfully Lynn had a back up, and I was given Motrin to take on the spot before surgery. They used laughing gas during the surgery (HIGHLY RECOMMEND, it's awesome!), and the surgery itself was super quick. I chose to bring my iPod and I think I listened to 4 or 5 songs, that's it!, and then the surgery was done! The laughing gas totally relaxes you and with the novocaine they put in your mouth, you barely feel anything and it's super comfortable. The whole appointment from check in, to prepping, and surgery - I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. I have my 2 week check up coming up. Right now I feel great. The medication has helped with pain and discomfort and I am hopeful that the gums will recover soon so I can eat normal food and be done with a mushy and liquid diet! No bueno! But I felt like I was in great hands, and very much appreciate Dr. Kirkland and her staff for taking such good care of me. If you have to have periodontal work, this is a great office to go to and you will be in the hands of professionals who know what they're doing and will make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend! p.s. After my consultation, I think within a week or 2, I received a handwritten card from Dr. Kirkland and team in the mail for thanking me for choosing them. Awesome customer service! :-)

My wife had a female and she was gentle. That's not the problem. The problem is the upselling. We got in with their $59 first time client cleaning and examine. Great deal! But I also assumed upselling was in order because of the sale and I've had many dealings with Korean businesses. I'm Korean BTW. Then, he proceeded to begin setting up for a deep clean without asking me first. He simply stated I needed it and assumed I would agree. I stopped him and asked the price difference and he said it was substantial. I told him to do a regular cleaning and he seemed a little disappointed but he did. I know my wife has some dental needs but they told her she needed $3000 in work. Maybe. But I didn't feel 100% comfy with that diagnosis because of the way they went about it with me. The office is set up nice. The waiting area is huge with plenty of couches, TV, tons of magazines, and even a full body massage chair! But some lady put hair grease all over the headrest so I didn't use it. Yuck. The receptionist was friendly and the employees were helpful. Their gift package had some good stuff in it as well. But the assumed acceptance of the upselling was annoying and didn't settle well with me. It makes the client feel uncomfortable.

When I got there they told me that they needed a drivers license. I told them I was not comfortable with that and that if they would allow me I would bring a passport on the next visit, I was going to have several. The rather large lady at the front who by the way was extremely rude the whole time, told me that they could not wait for that. She said she needed my license NOW! I asked her what she was going to do with my license and she said "I am going to scan it in the computer and upload it to the cloud"! I told her there was no way she was getting my license if that is what she is going to do with it! After a little more back and forth she asked me to hold on and went to the back. She returned and told me that they would be canceling my appointment because they have issues with trust! Wait a minute! They have issues with trust! They are the ones going to be poking in my mouth! I have sent them 2 collection letters now due to the fact that cancelled appointments incur a fine (their policy not mine). They cancelled the appointment without 48 hours' notice, so they have the fine payable to me. You see you can't have a policy that is only 1 sided. That is the law, the policy is for all parties. I am about to send them to a collection agency on this point. I normally don't write this kind of review, but it is important for you to know what you are getting into before you go and have to deal with this terrible place and specifically this terrible woman!

SHUT UP AND WAIT…read more.... though Dr. West is very nice and takes appropriate time w/patients (appreciated), this time is NOT reflected in how they book appts. After yrs of being in business, he knows the average time he spends for each type of patient appt...so there's NO excuse for overbooking appts, where you have to wait, and wait, and wait.... EVERY time I've had an appt over the yrs, I've had to wait 30min - an hour+ and today was no different. I went for a pre-deep cleaning appt where they needed to take blood pressure/check heart and sign some docs...which takes about 5 minutes. After 25min wait, I finally said something to staff about status and waiting for close to 30min for a 5-min appt was not acceptable. One staff member immediately responded with hostility, saying "well, it's going to be a while...quite a while before he's ready. I can take you back to a room but you're still going to have to wait" REALLY?? I was taken back and he took blood pressure and had me sign docs and left. I waited another 10 minutes and then walked up to front and said I was only going to wait another 5min. That came and gone so I walked out again and stood outside the room where Dr. West was (another 5 min)....so I could catch him as soon as that appt was done. NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT He came out and we walked into the room I had been in. I said he needed to address his booking tactics, that waiting for 40 + min for a 5-min appt was way overboard. He responded by stating he spends time w/patients and doesn't rush.....and that's GREAT but I told him this "time" needed to be reflected in his booking tactics so patients don't have to wait and wait and wait. He never apologized, never acknowledged my concern and my lengthy wait. Just completely ignored it. What DID he respond to??? He responded by saying his practice wasn't a good fit for me. That clearly showed he had no intention of addressing my concern and if I had just kept my mouth shut and continued to wait unnecessarily longer, everything would be OK. Sorry Doc, but treating patients like this (dismissing them if they DARE to confront you on continual, beyond lengthy wait times) is unacceptable. HEADS UP FOLKS cuz it was VERY apparent he had no intentions of changing anything....other than refusing service to anyone who confronts him. BAD BUSINESS...... BE AWARE FOLKS.....
