After Georgia Spa bought Spa and Deck Creations in Blairsville GA, it has been nothing but poor service, raised prices, and very poor businesses practices. I had a leak in my hot tube, called for service to locate the leak. Charged $260 for the service call. Service man found heater leak and gave me an estimate of $465 to install new heater and it would have to be ordered. When I called to get it ordered, the price went up to over $1000 dollars. I bought the heater on line for $365 and installed it myself. What a ripoff, never do business with them again. read more

This has been the most frustrating experience. I had a very nice sales person, Katie from the Kennesaw location. The hot tub actually came much quicker than I thought. And it's lovely. I don't know if it works, I haven't been able to use it. They completely forgot about us a couple of times in terms of not scheduling the electrician, once done the electricity was great. Now getting the valet/orientation/initial service has been miserable. They reschedule they cancel without even 24 hours notice and I don't live where my hot tub is. I had to travel here for this appointment. I got a partial message saying they needed to "schedule well actually reschedule" (I quote) the appointment that I am sitting here waiting on. My sales associate has said that this is unusual and does not understand why we cannot get any service. But I am not getting help from the Kennesaw branch at all. I will update this if they indeed do come, if they indeed do help me fix the problems that I have, and if it works or not. So my update is that I got an immediate call this morning about how to address my concerns. All the concerns were addressed. Hunter did an amazing job teaching me everything and fixed one thing. He taught me how to use all my chemicals and explained some things I needed to take care of in the future. So far so good and I'm very excited about getting to use the spa and now knowing how to maintain it. So I would definitely recommend it just know everything ahead of time so you know what you have to do and ask for and make sure things are arranged. read more

-- Truly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was treated like a criminal -- mind you, I bought this pump the day before yesterday. I came in to exchange a water pump that did not work in my hot tub. I was not asking for cash back. I was not arguing. I simply wanted to exchange a clearly defective part that failed almost immediately. Instead, the employees refused to give me their names, hid behind "store policy," and immediately started interrogating me about a box and a receipt. I explained multiple times that I threw the box away because I wasn't planning to return it -- I was planning to use the pump. Because normal people expect brand-new parts to work. I even told them I would go home and bring the box back if needed. Rather than work with me, they escalated the situation and called the owner as if I was attempting fraud. To be clear: I never asked for a refund. I asked for an exchange. I was happy to apply the value toward a filter, chemicals, or anything else in the store. I just didn't want another pump that didn't work. At one point, the employee actually said to me, "If there is very little water, then it won't pump everything." That raised an obvious question: what is the purpose of a spa pump if it can't function with low water during normal maintenance or testing? No one tried to troubleshoot. No one tried to help. No one took ownership. Just the same line over and over: "Do you have the box? Do you have the receipt?" For additional context, months ago I called asking if they could help move my sauna. I left messages. Someone returned my call the next day -- only to say they couldn't help. That should have been my first clue. The reality is, the saunas and hot tubs they sell can be purchased elsewhere for less money and with much better customer service -- Costco, Amazon, Sam's Club, and many other retailers carry similar products without the attitude. If this is how they handle a simple $60 part, I can only imagine what happens if you spend $27,000 here and need support. I ultimately left the pump there out of pure frustration. This experience made it clear I don't want to do business with a company that treats customers this way. Save yourself the stress. Shop elsewhere. read more

I debated how many stars to give. My initial experience with this company was 4-5 stars. We bought our spa in early 2019 and added a cool zone in 2020. We always used their Valet service to maintain the spa 2 times a year and their service when we had issues (which unfortunately was frequent with the cool zone and the cover) was always a good experience and I felt they were doing all they could to help me. The Valet costs and cover quality are the reason for the review today. The first 3 years i paid 599 for twice a year service that includes draining cleaning spa and conditioning the cover and refill. Then the price was increased by around 40% and then another 20% Last year I paid 899.95 for the twice a year service. I was notified a month or so ago that their price for the coming year is going to be $1795.95 for the SAME service. Now mind you this service 98% labor because I am required to provide the chemicals (or purchase for additional cost). You can't tell me you are doubling your employee salaries? I am now shopping around because maintaining my spa is a priority and finding that their latest increase is OUTRAGEOUS! Others are less than HALF of this for similar services. Regarding my spa cover... As I mentioned conditioning the cover is part of the 2 times a year service BUT unfortunately I am on my 3rd cover that has failed since purchasing my tub. A cover should not fail every couple years. They should last 10-15 years. This last cover they say is NOT covered under warranty anymore so if I want a new one I have to pay for it. I get that BUT I also question how IF they were doing the 2 times a year conditioning my cover would FAIL. By Fail I mean it is taking on water when it rains. I have purchased an inexpensive cover to go over it to keep water out but am still waiting on the water in the cover to evaporate (the cover weights 3 times what it should to open and close because of the weight of the water. I say all this after spending the last month waiting for a return call regarding the increased VALET cost. When I last spoke to someone I was told that manager had gone home sick and would return my call when he returned and it NEVER happened. I used to Highly recommend GA spa. Particularly the awesome service technician that helped countless times when my coolzone wasn't working BUT I just can't anymore. There service has gone down and their costs have skyrocketed. I should have listened to the post by Vicki C from Atlanta, GA on July 10, 2019! I too experienced leaks in multiple seals on the pump and jets. I purchased my HotSprings Envoy spa in December 2018. I have called GSC multiple times to fix leaks. Recently, I was told that the culprit was the seals. And the tech intimated that the cause was lack of proper water quality maintenance. Let us say for brevity that I did not maintain my water within the recommended range (which is ludicrous because I attempt to maintain it all the time, considering my business is in Florida and make trips back to Augusta just to mind my tub chemicals). Why would you sell a tub that requires me to pay for an entire pump or entire jet because a plastic/rubber seal probably worth .75 to manufacture has deteriorated. You are forcing the customers to pay thousands of dollars because this piece of plastic failed, regardless of the cause. If you or the manufacturer really cared about customer service, you would make replacement seals (to be installed by GSC) an option and save the customer a lot of money, unless the reasoning is to cost them more money. Im an engineer, but you do not have to have an engineering degree to realize that this either poor engineering or unethical, though it probably makes good sense if maximizing profit is all that counts. All of you lauding the service and quality you received-- you just wait a couple of years to see how you feel then. Additionally, my bass speaker failed twice after just one year on both occasions. . The problem is the person running the KENNESAW store where I bought it. PLEASE tell me if I am wrong. I bought a 20K SALTWATER hot tub. I am 30 miles away. They did not put in the saltwater test strips so I could get it started. My salesman told me when I could go by there and pick some up. I went to get them, they told me it was nine dollars to buy them. I questioned the store manager who I assume he was as why they wanted to charge me nine dollars so I could test the water only for him to tell me oh those strips aren't included. After driving 30 miles he acted like he was inconvenienced that he had to get off of a phone call to talk to me. IT WAS NOT THE 9 DOLLARS which I DID pay.. all I wanted to know is how do you sell someone a salt water hot tub and you don't include the test strips to test the water to start it up ? Georgia Spa Company Run, do not walk away from this company. I have been a customer for over 14 years and have nothing but great things to say about the staff at the Mall of Ga showroom. They are always cheerful and helpful. However, the parts and service are a different story. In Feb of 2020, my wife and I decided to sell our house. Our hot tub, a Bullfrog spa, had a defective control panel. When I told that during a water test, they gave me the number for parts. I spoke with parts and explained what was going on and they ordered the panel and overlay. I was soon informed both parts were backordered which was ok since we planned on putting our house on the market in April. After two months, I contacted parts to get the reply of they had no idea when the parts would be in. I asked to cancel but was told "Sorry parts have already been ordered. We cannot cancel the order." Beginning of April the control panel came in but I was informed the overlay was still on backorder with no ETA. I once again informed her that I was putting my house on the market that month. Jump forward to May, I closed on the house and I am now moved into my new home. July 1st, I get a message the overlay is now in stock and where should they send it to. My response was the part was completely useless to me since I no longer own the property or hot tub and do not have access to either. I asked for my money back only to be told that company policy said no. I could have easily just ordered the parts from an online company but I chose to spend my money to support my local shop. The original plan was that my wife and I would buy a new swim/spa once we were settled at the new home. But she is crazy if she thinks I will let her step foot in your showroom or give another dime to this company. All this over a $36 part. But hey, at least they got that sale right? And you can be sure that everyone that asks for a recommendation for a spa will hear my experience of how they treat a long time customer. read more

I went to GSC to inquire about getting a hot tub for my home. I brought photos of the entire delivery route, just in case. I was lead to believe the delivery would not be a problem and be within my budget of 2500 dollars. So, on their advice, I placed a deposit (over $4k) on a hot tub, I was then asked to get in touch with some crane companies to handle the actual delivery and to get estimates. Holy cow was it expensive. It was no where near what we were lead to believe the costs would be. I was told delivery was going to be $8k plus our neighbor's driveway would be broken because the truck was enormous and weighs over 100 tons. I reached out to another crane company who said the same thing, that either my driveway would be broken or my neighbors plus the cost of the crane $6k and riggers for around $1500. I reached out to GSC to see if there were any other options. They gave me the number of a helicopter company that wanted over $10k! Had their sales guy told us to reach out to the delivery companies first, rather than leading us to believe our delivery would be reasonably priced, we never would have made the purchase in the first place. It's 7 months later and they refuse to refund us our deposit. My advice to you is to not trust them. Do your research before you waste your time with these folks or go somewhere else. Now, I'm having to take them to small claims court to get my money back. They will tell you anything to make the purchase. Buyer beware. read more

Disappointed in myself for taking so long to give Georgia Spa Company my highest rating and recommendation. I first want to thank Tim Meadows in the Augusta showroom for allowing my wife and I to take two wet tests before choosing to purchase the Hot Spring Flair spa from the Limelight Collection. I highly recommend the wet tests, as we decided on the Flair model with its lounger and added versatility for seating positions and lower side jets that hit our feet and ankles. We anxiously awaited its arrival over a six week period, with Georgia Spa giving good communication as the spa worked its way through manufacturing and shipping. We followed Tim's advice to use Gravitt Electric for the sub panel and wiring installation, which was a great choice. This several generation owned company couldn't have been more knowledgable and professional in preparation for the next day's spa arrival. It was then delivered by a crew led by Brian Cowart, who made the unfortunate discovery that the spa had been damaged. It appeared that a forklift tine possibly hit a corner, but it could have been damaged by another way. Not only was a corner lighting panel cracked, but also some wood framing was damaged where the screws attach to the front panel. Brian was very diligent in taking detailed photos and videos for documentation, and turned our case over to Customer Care Manager Merritt Athon. Merritt is the guy who strongly deserves our greatest "shout out". He initially looked in to having framing parts sent from Hot Spring headquarters in an effort to repair the spa here in Augusta. But due to potential delivery delays and uncertainty over the repair combined with our disappointment in not getting a perfect new tub, Merritt offered a brand new replacement. He remained in constant communication over the month that it took for our new spa to arrive, and then visited us personally the day after delivery to handle the electrical connections and refill. I just can't say enough good things about this man, as he (along with Brian Cowart) has also been extremely helpful with chemistry and balancing concerns. We have now enjoyed our new Hot Spring Flair spa for over a month, and I can't imagine how we waited so long for such awesome relaxation and enjoyment. If someone reading this review is on the fence in deciding whether to purchase any spa from Georgia Spa Company, I urge you do the smart thing and place that order. You will have peace of mind in knowing that you are dealing with a company that truly believes in superior customer service. read more

I initiated my purchase with GA Spa with Lori who was very kind and professional May 18, 2021. I paid my 1/3 deposit and immediately had my yard escalate excavated & cement poured the first week in June 2021. I was told I'd get a call in July for second 2nd payment when spa went into production. I called to make payment and Lori told me it has not yet gone to production that they would call me. The call didn't come within that following week and by this time nearly 2 months has passed, so I asked if they had anything in stock comparable to what I ordered that's available. I was told only hot tubs were available by Lori which started at 7k. Well, the cement dimensions were 12x50x89in and that was not suitable for what I needed to swim. Plus suffering with chronic pain a hot tub was not what I needed. This is "supposed" to be a Veteran owned/ friendly company. However, I felt it was quite contrary. I asked for a refund as the pool wasn't in production, I had been hospitalized , and my daughter car had been totaled. I was told by Chad the manager and Josh K and the owner emphatically no refunds unless death. I wrote close to 4 emails explaining the unethical practices of holding someone's money when no product has even been produced. Josh stated there was a long waiting list for that pool and it could take months to get back on it, so if I didn't agree to go forward he'd take the next person on this (fake list-which was confirmed by Lori "there was no list that we share inventory between 6 locations first come first served" ) I'm perplexed that Josh K thinks my signature entitles him to keep over 6k of my money for a product that was not in production in by July 6th nor 14th nor in their warehouse as of August 31, 2021 (Also confirmed by Lori.) So, neither then nor now was the pool deliverable or ever delivered anytime in the month of August and there's 31 days in August. I was told by Lori and Josh both of the item expected date as mid August. Josh tried to give me an ultimatum of responding to continue with the sale by August 11 as if he had it in the warehouse and it wasn't or they hold my money for a year or lose it. I have emailed my proof to USAA bank, and have several phone recordings. At this juncture I have contacted news media and Josh K arrogantly relayed to me," When you call your media friend, be sure to add the contract you signed and that we have a hero program." Basically, there was an arrogant overtone because at NO TIME did anyone show ANY Compassion. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. YES, I signed a contract in good faith and my yard being excavated & cement poured proves my honest intent. Where is theirs? Other than my contract for services not rendered. What is questionable is why they failed to include a date of delivery or even a. estimated date they texted and emailed me? I believe because they knew they wouldn't be held accountable for what they didn't right. They told my bank, "We said expected date not a guarantee " so they played on words . Well, Mid August has passed and so has September, and here we are in October. They will not get a blank date to deliver whenever they feel like at my expense. Fact is, I have no product and they have 6,377.00 of my money and refuse to return it and plan on STILL selling the same pool to someone else. Fact, I have a chunk of empty cement in middle of my back yard that I paid 4K to have done. This is unethical on every level. Out of integrity I even offered them 1k for a restocking fee that I was told would be sold to someone and gave him a date to respond or offers were off. I never got a response from Josh K. In fact he instructed his team members Lori and Chad not to correspond with me and to direct all calls to him; knowing he specifically wrote to me he would not respond to any of my texts or emails. As a Veteran of the Air Force, I WILL NOT BE BULLIED nor have money extorted for product not received. I fought too hard and long to get my benefits to have them stolen by anyone. Period. Their contracts are only written where it benefits them not their clients. There's no accountability on their part when they fail to honor their word. What company would fail to write a date of delivery? Answer: a company that never planned to fulfill having products by a certain date and be held accountable when it's not. I didn't cancel because of I didn't want the pool. Once injury was added to insult If I had a million dollars to pay cash- I wouldn't support them with 1 cent.. Josh stated he was a Christian and that I wasn't going to paint him as a bad guy, yet when I attempted to appeal to his spiritual morality; he was offended when I sent a scripture stating his unfair practices were not "Christ like" He considered a scripture a threat. I have been meaning to leave this for a year. We purchased big green eggs for both fathers last Father's Day. Big green egg doesn't make it easy online to locate a dealer so I called them for help locating a dealer in Hartwell GA. They told me they were in fact the dealer for Hartwell- we ignorantly paid the total and coordinated delivery. I should stop here and note delivery was hundreds of dollars because of the distance- but again we were led to believe that they were are only option. It wasn't until after it was delivered we were made aware there was in fact a dealer in downtown Hartwell. It would have been about $400.00 cheaper had they not been dishonest just to make a sale. We were stuck with a store credit because they wouldn't return all our money when we changed our minds on a hot tub, before it was delivered. (This was the 3rd one we would have bought from them) We picked out a Traeger grill on their recommendation for $1300. They sold us a lemon. The first one was broken on arrival, the 2nd one has NEVER worked. We've spent lots of time on the phone with Traeger and they keep telling us to try other things. Nothing works. It will not stay at temp for more than 20 mins or so. I suggest you NEVER buy a Traeger grill!!!! Never buy from Georgia Spa. read more

I initially contacted Georgia Spa via their website around September 21st. I don't have the exact date, but it took them about a week to get back to me. Then on September 28th, Georgia Spa quoted me a price for a Big Green Egg and some accessories for $1,439.46 delivered. On September 30th, I emailed back that we decided to go with them and what did I need to do to get this ordered. I heard nothing back from them so I went in their today to purchase it. When I spoke with Christina, she informed me that the quote she gave me on the 28th was no good and that they now needed to charge me $1,790.23 for the exact same products. In the follow up email she sent me, she to me "our sale ended..." If this is indeed the case, a good salesperson would have let me know on the 28th that it was a special sales price and that the sale was ending on Sept. 30th. This was not communicated at all to me and I didn't see any indication that they were having a sale on it when I went to their website to request the quote. When it started leaking, we called their service department and they sent Cameron out to fix it. He called ahead of time and was friendly and professional.
