Buyers Beware!I wanted to let every one know that some of building sizes are not true to the advertised size. Please do your self a favor and measure the actual building you are purchasing. Otherwise, you may end up with a headache. I purchased a 12x16 shed from Georgia Yard Barns back in September 2019 only to later discover the 12x16 shed i paid almost 4K for isn't actually a 12x16. Well technically the roof is?? I reviewed the internet and Georgia Yard Barn website and wasn't able to find any information indicating a 12x16 portable shed is measured by the roof. I ask several people what they would expect the foot print to be of a 12x16 shed and everyone I ask indicated the same.... 12x16. These were people that either had a shed or was in the construction business. To the best of my knowledge buildings are measured by the walls, generally exterior. Well in my case I recently discovered my shed from Georgia Yard Barns has a foot print of only 11.2 x16. This loss of nearly a foot in width has created a situation that makes it difficult to use the building as I had intended. Which is why I am writing this review, not something I normally do, but I want the general public to be aware. I cannot stand when a business tries to deceive people in order to get a sale. I wanted to a moment to write this review to express that that Vicky did not inform me the true size of the 12x16 so I could make the right decision, even when I was inquiring about storage space and the things i wanted to store in the shed. Then Stephanie would not try to work with me to fix the problem once it was discovered. As an FYI, Per Stephanie, the building I have, apparently they no longer sell. So, if you decide to get a shed from Georgia Yard Barn, the quality may not be the same. Not to mention, my building is a Pioneer, which appears to be made in TN. Georgia Yard Barns advertise all products are made her in GA.  Be warned, you better know exactly what you are buying and better get it placed correctly the first time. I ask Stephanie several times..... Why not just advertise as the sheds as 11x16? She kept stating it was industry standard. Not True! I found several websites on line indicating they have 12x16 sheds with 192 Sq/Ft and can deliver. Stephanie actually tried to indicate I had been informed of the measurements being made at the roof vice walls. She indicated it was on my paperwork. I checked, nothing. Then she sent me some snap shots of a pamplet, with fine print, that i never saw. And a snap shot of the price list, again with fine print. To be fair, I did briefly see the price list as Vicky pulled it out to find my price. Didn't get to check it out tho, just caught a quick look. Just because a document is moved in front of you, with fine print doesn't mean you were informed. Had I been informed of the truth, I would have either changed the door placement or got a different size. Looking at the price sheet she sent me.... Either way, It appears I would have saved money and got something that suited my needs better. If by chance you have a 12x16 shed from Georgia Yard Barns... maybe take a moment to measure the sides, you may be surprised that you didn't get what you were looking for either. I am curious if the 10x12 building is measured by the exterior like a 10x10 or roof like a 12x16. Check it out. Maybe even post the results so others can be informed. BTW... I spoke with a competitor... Adam Johnson at Yoder Builders 618-936-2419. Advised they build a true 12x16 shed and will deliver. Just in case you are looking. Wish I had more room to tell the whole story about my experience with Georgia Yard Barns and why I will not be a repeat customer, even though my shed seems to be great quality. Good luck! read more
