We also had a large Philly Steak pie which was loaded with shaved steak, American and mozzarella cheese onions and peppers. So I've been trying out Georgia's during the COVID-19 pandemic since I appreciate that they have made a drive thru out of their restaurant. The first time I went I tried a cheeseburger pizza and clam strips. The cheeseburger pizza was delicious and I have ordered it a couple times since, but the clam strips were disappointing unfortunately. The breading was soggy and there wasn't much clam underneath, nor were there enough clam strips to make the price worth it. The fries/onion rings also had a faint taste of clams. I was disappointed but I figured I wouldn't try seafood from there again. Tonight I ordered again - decided to try wings and a grinder this time. The wings were great!!! Better than any local wings I've had in a while, I would 100% order those again. The grinder was also good - but lacking meat. I ordered the cold cut combo and it looked like there was maybe 1 slice of 3 different types of meat. Seems like not a lot for $12....but still tasted good so I can't complain. Seems kind of hit or miss, but that won't stop me from going back to try more! read more

Tried Georgias for the first time the other night, was looking for a new pizza place to try and decided to try here. Let me start by saying that the selection of pizzas is unmatchable, especially if looking for flavors that might be out of the norm! We tried to Reuben pizza and the loaded French fry pizza and had a hard time deciding which was better- they were both that good! The service is impeccable, we had asked for a side of ranch and it was forgotten, but a server ran out before we left the parking lot to give to us before we left with our pizzas! We were looking for a restaurant that served baked seafood, as most of them have the fried variety. And Georgia's didn't disappoint. Usually to get seafood this good, you have to go to the shoreline, and pay exorbitant prices. This place is right down the road for us. The seafood platter came complete with shrimp , scallops, and fish all swimming in seasoned butter, served in a steaming plate. And this comes with garlic bread, your choice of soup or salad ( I chose the delicious clam chowder, the wife got a generous salad) And your choice of potato. ( I chose baked, and it came with two large pats of butter, and sour cream without having to ask for it!) So what's not to like? Certainly not the friendly and attentive waitresses. I stopped here for some chicken parm and was not disappointed. Added a side salad and of course garlic bread. Any salad here always taste very fresh and are served cold. Even the garlic bread seemed to have a (good) crunch to it. The chicken parm was large, very tasty and had plenty of pasta sauce. First off I will say Georgina's has been our favorite Italian restaurant and we have eaten there many times. This review is based on our wedding reception we recently hosted at the restaurant. We were very excited when Georgina's became available for our wedding reception. We selected the Diamond package for the reception and met with the wedding coordinators to finalize the details. Each time we met with them we ended up having lunch at the restaurant afterward and enjoyed our meal. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant for the wedding party. On our wedding day we were looking forward to providing our guests with a great dining experience with the promised Grand Viennese Dessert Station. Appetizers and dinner were enjoyed by our guests and were up to the standards we expected from Georgina's. That's where things started to fall apart. Part of the package is that we were supposed to have a personal server which we did until the desserts showed up. At that point they disappeared and we were on our own for the rest of the event. As were were having dinner I noticed that the dessert station was being set up. This was not what we expected as we understood it would be done after the cake cutting. After dinner we were visiting our guests when I noticed that people were already at the dessert station before the cake cutting. We also expected some coordination of events from the staff but that didn't happen. We ended up leaving our guests mid conversations so that we could cut the cake but by this time our guests had already taken a good number of desserts. Cake was delivered to the tables but most of it was wasted as people had filled up on the desserts. One of the main attractions of selecting the Diamond package was this dessert station with its chocolate dipping station. That never appeared. Everything there was to be dipped but no chocolate was present. When questioned about it were were told the chocolate was still heating up. If the chocolate wasn't ready nothing should have been brought out for the dessert station. Major disappointment to our guests and ourselves. And there were supposed to be Italian cookies, none were present. This was confirmed by some of our guests as well as family members and recorded by our videographer. Was our day ruined, no, a major disappointment, yes. And not only a disappointment but we didn't get what we paid for and this was not an inexpensive event. We did come home with about 6 bags of food. Some of it was dinners for our guests that didn't make it to the reception. Some was from the dessert station in the form of leftovers from the cakes that were on the station, some Italian pastries, and some tarts. The majority of it were items for the chocolate dipping station. There was so much of it that clearly not much was touched, interesting there was no chocolate sent along with it, not sure where that ended up. Has this changed our perception of the restaurant, it has. We haven't decided if this will still be our go to Italian restaurant or not or if we have to find a new one. Unfortunate given how much money we spent on our event along with the other times we have been at the restaurant. We have written the owner and he has responded to our letter very positively. His attention to our issues is very much appreciated and we look forward to meeting with him to discuss making things better going forward. Nothing special here but it's in Amston, so they should do O K. Senior special is interesting, a holdover from Mary & Ali's ? Fountain drinks very fresh/bubbly. Good breakfast place.. Kudos for well operated drive thru. Inside, still has that odd step up and down to the counter. I,m in my 70's now, but hated it when I was in my 40 's. My hubby and I were passing through and found this place by happenstance- we had the lobster roll and it was fantastic. It comes hot or cold, real lobster claw meat with drawn butter. The fries stay crispy and onion rings were exactly right. And you know a place does a great job if the coleslaw disappears from your plate! read more

What a nice, welcoming restaurant. Went here after RHAM graduation and the place was filled with families celebrating and the staff was busy making sure we all had a great meal. Had the real veal dinner that was yummy. We had pizza that has the best crust...soft but crunchy on outside. The double decker cheeseburger was a ,"I'm having that again next time" kind of thing!! Someone else ordered it with chicken instead of burger. They were very accommodating and it was delish!! Eggplant with meatballs was rich and plentiful. It's going to taste great tomorrow! I found Georgia's by luck of the draw. It is now on the top of my list. My wife and I order out often but also visit with friends. I lead a mixed group of older guys. We meet up maybe every 6 weeks. We enjoy Georgia's. Only beat out by the brewery in Willimantic at least in the number of visits. Willibrew doesn't choose to recognize us regardless of our patronage. Georgia's does. Two of us are heavily handicapped and we can get into either of these spots and will return to both. Willibrew has better ADA restrooms. read more

They are a wonderful family that cares about their customers. I have been so impressed with how they quickly adapted during these COVID times. My husband and I love going to their drive thru for a easy and delicious dinner. Last night I called when they were closing up (was not sure of their hours), and they went above and beyond and still put a couple of pies in for us! We were so impressed, and it made our night! This was my first time getting a Clams Casino Pizza here. Having had a few Clams Casino Pizza in the area.....and other out of town establishments I have to say this pizza from Georgia's was by far the best I've ever had. When I picked it up I was pleasantly surprised by the weight of a small pizza. I put it in my car and enjoyed the beautiful aroma of flavors on my way home. When I got home and lifted the lid I found a pizza loaded with clams, bacon, fresh garlic and a scrumptious white sauce. I then poured myself a glass of extra crisp Chardonnay and dug in!
