We went to try it. We got a 3 cheese pizza. It was so good. I normally don't eat the crust but this was do crunchy. Cooked to perfection. Has a good menu with other items besides pizza. I had wine and my friend had a sprite. I should have thought to take the picture before we starting eating. I got a grilled ham and cheese for my grandson who said it was really good. Tried them again, my first review was 5-stars - quality went down the tubes over the last few years. Ordered a pizza and it was the same caliber as frozen pizza, not a lot of flavor and cheap with the toppings. Also ordered "wing zingers" and those were $16 per order and it's processed, sponge looking "chicken" that are shaped like small fish fillets. Yea, disgusting. Yummy and affordable! They have so many choices and their prices are much lower than other places in the area. The garlic bread with cheese has tons of garlic and butter and cheese and it's only around $4. This is a great pizza restaurant with a huge menu and there are always specials that are comfort food choices of home cooked meal items such as stuffed peppers, meatloaf and other things your mom would probably make for dinner. This review is for a pasta dish I ordered from Colchester Pizza. I have had their pizza many times in the past, but never tried any of the pasta dishes offered. I decided to try the baked ziti special - comes with garlic bread and salad as well. I always feel bad when I expect a meal to be served a certain way, and it doesn't meet my expectations. This was ordered as take out, and the meal itself was served nice and hot, and came covered in a layer of baked melted cheese. I dug in but was almost immediately let down. Having had many baked ziti meals over the years from various restaurants (and home cooked meals), I had expected more melty cheesy goodness mixed in with the pasta. Sadly that was not the case with this meal-- there was no ricotta cheese or any other melted cheeses intermixed. I felt a little duped that I essentially paid for ziti covered in some bland meat sauce with an over all skimpy layer of melted cheese on top. And the 'special' price came to about $13. Bummer. Over all I agree with another reviewer that Collchester pizza is a little pricey for what it is. I still did eat my baked ziti because I was hungry, but next time I will just stick to their pizzas which I have been satisfied with in the past. Friendly and fast service , They have draft beer so u can kick back a cold one while waiting for your pizza. Place is a small pizza place with about 6 Booths, the counter and 2 soda fridges. The people are really friendly and welcoming. I came in here in hopes of getting a slice of pizza but its not like NEW YORK I guess lol no slices here they have a colchester Pizza they are known for sounded appetizing . I got a small pie with pepperoni as pictured tasted really fresh. The tomato sauce was on point and the crust was delicious however I felt the cheese was a tad too salty for my taste but that's just me might be a NY thing. Tried this place out a few weeks ago with my three year olds. It was a convenient place to stop on a late Sunday afternoon after sweating at a local Playground. My kids both got spaghetti and had no complaints. I got a chicken cutlet grinder. Everyone was happy. Our waitress was super friendly and seemed to know everyone who came in. I love finding reasonably priced restaurants that are local and that my kids can go to and have more than nuggets and fries( not that there is anything wrong with that). We will be back! read more
