Great Northern shore roast beef sandwich! It was a great addition to my journey getting the best that the north shore has to offer! Such a small spot we almost missed it! Perfect size to get in and out for lunch though! Never was really empty either so get in where you fit in! The boy had a traditional roast beef with mayo and BBQ on the side, I got adventurous and had the Mad Cow! I was "mad" about it! Cajun aioli and got the spicy BBQ in the side to dip my sandwich in, wonderful combo with the pickled jalapeños! Even got to see the slicer! Its a shame there isn't more review's here. Bet we would see over all better numbers. We love these folks and their food. Very consistent with meticulous attention to detail. Everything we have had from here almost once a week for years has been superb. They are even environmentally friendly by adding a extra piece of cardboard to soak up the grease so you can recycle the whole pizza cardboard. Their calzones are massive!!! read more

Yummmm! We love their roast beef sandwiches! (You can't truly take my word on what's a great roast beef sandwich because I know it's a MA thing and I'm not from here, but they're good!) So disappointed. I ordered a Junior beef, fries and a soda. My tab came to about $17. As I sat down I saw a sign with "combo #2" which is a Jr beef fries and a soda for $13. Called an order in and was told 30 minutes, got there in 35 minutes and had to stand outside in the rain for another 10 minutes before someone came out and asked for the name, I told the girl my name and she told me how much the order was for a drink and a calzone and I payed, as soon as I signed the slip she informed me it will be another 30 minutes!! I got my calzone 45 minutes later !! That's wrong!! You should be honest with your customers and give them the option to go across the street, I know it won't happen again!! read more

Get the roast beef, now! One of the best cuts of meat in MA, tender, flavorful, melts in your mouth. Shrimp pizza a cool alternative to the norm. Chicken gyro certainly above average. Friendly respectful staff. Geo definitely takes pride in ownership. Greek salad was very solid. read more

Excellent roast beef sandwiches, but can't get an order correct. Even after informing the girl who took my order about my food allergy, the sub came out unchanged and I was sick for days. Only one of the four times I've been here was my order correct, and that's because I only got two plain roast beef sandwiches. Every other order since has been incorrect. This place is ridiculously bad at customer service. Just tried to order a chicken parm calzone with the sauce on the side. So, she indicated that she would order me a chicken finger calzone. I said the two weren't the same thing. She said they were. Not a good sign at all. Then, she said she was charging me for the sauce on the side. I said the calzone comes with sauce, I just want it on the side. She said they had to charge for sides of sauce. I said I wasn't ordering an extra side of sauce. That didn't help. Well...Geo's has slipped. My last 2 orders have been quoted as 45 minutes for delivery and it took well over an hour to receive the food. I live all of a mile from the restaurant so I can only conclude they have but one driver. Also the quality standards of the food are definitely slipping. I've gotten a calzone twice, and twice it was burned. After waiting an hour Id expect the quality to be at its best, but that is no longer the case. At this point Geo's has gone from fresh newcomer to just another Amesbury pizza shop. read more

I work in the area and love this place for lunch! Great customer service and my food was delivered hot and delicious I was shocked to read the reviews that weren't happy. Great lunch spot when you're tired of the same old fast food junk. Huge menu. Roast beef was very good, not over cooked like some places do. Very clean inside. Couple of tables if you're not here for takeout, but it's not really a dine in type of place. read more

I was excited to try this new place out because I've been hearing good reviews. I guess I will need to order a different day though... Don't get me wrong, no one likes when there's a late customer, but I thought calling 20min before close would be sufficient for delivery since other take-out/delivery places have told me that it's fine because I'm local and they will make my delivery the last one for the night for the driver. Plus, I have a heart, and tip extra for the inconvenience. Perhaps this place is still getting into the swing of things, but the girl who answered the phone was blunt and sounded exhausted (I wouldn't go so far as to say she was "rude") and she told me it was too close to closing time. My father use to bring me to all sorts of roast beef spots when I was a kid. More recently I rediscovered how much I loved a good RB sandwich so I started looking for good ones. When it comes to delivery food in amesbury, pizza factory was always my go to. Then a few years ago, Geo's went in where Capaccios used to be and I've been loyal to them ever since. They have THE best Subs, roast beef, burgers, pizza. Best in the area, in my opinion. The employees are always very friendly and respectful, whether on the phone or in person. This place has a very good Greek chicken salad. The salad has a good amount of varied veggies and an ample amount of feta. The chicken is the standout though. They give a generous amount of freshly cooked chicken served warm. The only ok piece is the bread. It's just standard pita. We have ordered multiple times and the quality is consistent. Ive been in this area for over 20 years and have yet found a roast beef place that is comparable to the north shore. Lynn, Peabody, Salem, all have great roast beef places. Up here they are always dry, like medium to medium well. I like my roast beef rare, the way its supposed to be.. Anyway, I heard about this place opening up so Id give it a shot. I got a super beef, extra mayo, sauce, and cheese. It was awesome. Truly awesome. I cant rate a place on one experience so I went back and ordered a Souvlaki sub. Delicious. I got my wife a well done roast beef cause that's how she likes it, and she said it was comparable to Big Freds in Salem which was our favorite roast beef place. I am 100% Italian so I know food. I didn't grow up eating out, or putting ketsup on my pasta, nor would I ever put mayo on an Italian sub. A real Italian sub, not the Americanized ones. That being said, I have only found great quality, great food, great prices, and great service. They are new to the area and Im sure sh*t happens in the beginning so all the bad reviews need to be overlooked until you try it yourself. My roast beef is always the same, and always great. I haven't tried the pizza yet so I couldn't rate that. I live in NH and have no problem driving 25 minutes to get a Super Beef. Its that good. Another great place is Royal House Roast Beef in Methuen. If your in that area give that place a try. They have real veal cutlets. Real, pounded out on the spot then bredded. Im not sure how the veal is here at Geo's. As a matter of fact, that's what Im going to order today and see. Now Im starving. I usually don't leave posts, but after reading the negative ones, especially the one who is from Vermont yet ate there numerous times makes no sense to me. Also, if you think about it, if you owned a pizza place in the area and heard the food was awesome at Geo's then whats your next move? To try to draw business away from it. What better way then to have your friends and family post bad reviews. Im not saying that's happening Im just saying that by reading the negative I myself might say,,,ehhh I don't think ill take the chance. All along if I did that, I would have never know how tremendous the food really is. Give it a shot, I think you will enjoy it. I ordered a delivery #4 sub, chips and a drink, great value. I was told delivery in 45 min, but much to my surprise my lunch arrived in half that time! The sub was large, roll was delicious, overall very good. Thank you Geo's!! read more
