Called Geo's to repair a section of my leather theatre couch. (1 section needed new springs and foam cushion). We arranged for Geo to come to our home , evaluate the couch and quote the repair . They dismantled the section that needed repair and took it with them that day. It took less than 20 minutes and they were gone. Geo returned the sectional in perfect condition within a few days. Great work. Ordered material promptly. The reason for the 4 star is they missed their promised finish date. They promised our cushions would be done 2 weeks after receipt of material. I called on the expected date and was told they would start it that week and that it would be done the following week. They are very busy. And the workmanship is awesome. But they missed the expected date and we had guests coming. read more

I called Geo's because someone in my area, who was a customer, was very satisfied with his work. Geo gave me a quote within a day, and a "pick up and delivery" estimate. The prices seemed reasonable, so I agreed to both. To finalize the deal, I texted him to let me know when he planned to pick up the item, to ensure someone was at home. That was two weeks ago, and I have not heard a word back. I called again today. Geo answered. He remembered my order and agreed to get a "pick-up" date and call me back within 15 minutes. Again, he has not called. And I don't expect him to. I'm not sure what is going on at Geo's Upholstery; but, I've learned from my experience, he ignores calls and texts; and says he'll do something and doesn't keep his committments. read more

We brought over an old saddleback reclining office chair that needed to be recaned. Recaning old chairs is not easy. We were given a reasonable quote of $80. He said he would have it in two weeks. After two weeks, the chair had been excellently redone and we would not hesitate to use his services again. I am surprised that there are no other comments. He does good work. read more

I was dubious because Geo is an individual earning his keep in the upholstery business. But I found his craftsmanship to be spectacular and far better than any manufacturer could produce. We had six dining room chair cushions, more than 50 years old, that were threadbare and flat as a pancake. We took a chance on this guy whom I still haven't met, and were shocked at the beauty of his work. I'd add that his price was less than several others to whom we spoke. read more

I called the office to see about getting a seat repaired. They answered and said they couldn't help me, I needed to call the owner. I called Geo, the owner, and he said he is not taking any orders right now, He is not able to help anyone else for a few months. Everyone was very short, not very good customer service. read more

CAUTION - took 1 sofa cushion to be repaired. 3 months later and it is missing. I'm not even sure if the cost of going to small claims court is worth the cost of just purchasing a new sofa. No returned phone calls finally had to go to the store and look through everything they had personally - it's a mess in there.... the sofa has been discontinued or I'd have gone through the manufacturer originally. read more

I had an antique chair seat reupholstered with trim around it. It was don perfectly, quickly and very inexpensively. I am in the process of having another piece done and I would recommend him to anyone. The chair he did for me before, years ago, looks and feels just like it did the day I brought it home. Have brought two different orders here over the last several years. The workmanship and pricing is wonderful. Very pleased both times. However, the timeliness is a huge negative. Were it not for the positives, this would be 3 stars. Both occasions the items took longer than promised. This last time I was told two weeks, it took six. So best advice is to allow yourself PLENTY of time and you'll get a great finished product. No rush jobs here, but quality work. read more
