Then because I didn't have an appointment, I waited for an hour and 45 minutes for literally a 3 minute blood draw. Once I was finally brought back the MA wanted to perform an entire pre-employment physical/drug test. To which I explained, I only needed to have a blood test. The MA was like oh sorry. I asked if this was why it took so long and her response was that they are short staffed. Poor quality, poor organization, poor customer service. If I could give them negative stars, I would!! I had NO idea that there were two clinics in the Puyallup area with almost identical names...I accidentally went to the wrong one. There is nowhere near enough parking at this giant clinic, so I let my daughter out with her insurance card and she raced in. She was one minute past the grace period, and they wouldn't see her. I went in with my baby on my hip, explained the situation (which she was already aware of) and then asked to speak to a clinic manager. Conveniently, nobody was on site to talk to and the woman at the desk wasn't willing to do anything to help. I understand they're now part of a large health system, and there are rules but I believe common sense and compassion should be part of healthcare. The provider could have been willing to see us for ten minutes, he wasn't given the choice. They could have tried to work with us and I would have sat there all morning in case someone else was running late. I have worked for a medical group in the past, and work for an insurance company so I understand there are rules and how the healthcare system works but I also believe in being compassionate and that not every situation is created equal. If this were my children's pediatrician, I would immediately change their care. I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone.

Now that I'm…read morea dependent, I'm finding that being at the Madigan-Puyallup Clinic at Sunrise is truly a luxury. However, the outstanding care comes at a bittersweet emotion for me. Our active duty members deserve this level of service. Had I experienced the same medical issues while a dependent as I did while active duty, I would have been diagnosed much sooner and with less resistance. I truly believe that the medical squadrons (AF) fall under that political BS we are all familiar with. So, this review is two-fold. 1.) THIS IS AN AMAZING DEPENDENT ONLY CLINIC 2.) Active duty deserve this level of care; after all, it is THEIR service that makes the clinic run.
