I came in with a COLD. I've been congested and coughing for a few days. The lady at the front desk said they don't prescribe phyciatric medications. I felt ashamed and embarrassed and left without seeing anyone. I felt as though my concerns were dismissed. I wanted to be seen for my cold symptoms. I didn't ask for a mental health evaluation. I continued to have cold symptoms. I would rather she have told me they are full and to come in the next day. read more

I don't like reviews where people start off with "I have always loved this place but on this one occasion, they didn't seat me immediately, bring water on a timely basis etc." therefore they give them one star after dozens of trips. That said, I give this place 2.5 stars. I have been there a few times and left neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. However, my last experience left me very dissatisfied. I had been sick for about 9-10 days before I determined that I wasn't going to get better. I really try and fight the urge to go to an Urgent Care at this time of year during... cold and flu season. Indigo is close so I went on their site, and I was #21 in line. Set up a virtual session this time, big mistake. The provider was nice, I shared my history with her, and she gave referrals to address my root cause issues. That said, my immediate symptoms were not treated. Of course, there would be no blood draws, no sampling of any bios. I told her what previous fixes worked for my symptoms; those, being antibiotics (BTW I am 63, what death do I need to wait out before it's determined, now he needs antibiotics) or steroid treatments. I had a cough, didn't need treatment and said don't prescribe Benzonatate. I have a surplus of it and take over the counter syrups when ill. It was prescribed anyway and, in a rush, paid for it at CVS because there was another scrip. Since I was feeling no better 6 days later, I appealed to the clinic to reconsider treating me in the ways I suggested. I did not want to have to wade through a cadre of sick people, for hours, only to set up another expensive visit and spend additional hours at a walk in. I AM CERTAINLY NOT ABOVE the usual pecking order of urgent treatment, but this is, IMO, sub-par follow through. read more

Given the state you're typically in when you walk into an urgent care... these folks are empathetic, kind, and helpful. From the nurses to the PA-C my experience was positive all around. I was appreciative of the tea, coffee, and drink options in the lobby and the entire place is nice and clean. Keep in mind their level of care is just a bit higher than a primary care physician, but lover than an ER. They don't have the machines and vast specialists that an Emergency room would have. I also highly encourage you to book an appointment online as it cuts down greatly on the wait. I heard walk ins quoted for 2-3 hours and my wait was about 5 min with a same day appointment I made online. read more

I'm a bit torn. Overall I like indigo urgent cares.. the facilities are clean, wait times are usually decent, the front desk staff and assistants who do the intake are very friendly and helpful and I appreciate they offer free little drinks like juice and water while you're waiting but when it comes to actually seeing the provider .. the providers seem to always be PA's not actual doctors and they're not always the most helpful. I wasn't really satisfied with the responses i received from the PA this most recent visit. She barely smiled at all or introduced herself during my visit and when I described my concerns to her she appeared to be very stumped almost immediately. When she examined my foot (reason I was there was a swollen painful foot) she stated she didn't know what was wrong but while extremely rare it was possible I have a blood clot.. maybe even DVT. Only way to rule it out would be to get an ultrasound of my foot which could be done at the emergency room or another nearby urgent care that has an emergency room. She then handed me paperwork with a summary of the visit and that was it.. felt like she kind of rushed through my appointment and didn't seem like she cared much at all what was going on with me. I went to the other urgent care where they did X-rays, blood work and the ultrasound and they still don't know what the issue is with my foot but they seemed far more concerned about me and they ruled out that it is definitely NOT a blood clot or DVT (thank goodness!). They also got me an application for financial aid which I appreciate as the copay for that visit with my insurance was $300 which I certainly couldn't afford to pay that day. I'll be seeing a podiatrist soon to see if I can get any real answers from them. read more

We were turned away at the Orting Indigo location and called the Puyallup location to see if they could take. No question asked they said come on in. Mind you I think there was only 45 minutes left before their closing. Just walking in the staff greets you even though they're busy. During check in they are very nice, very personable and you can really feel they care. I saw one staff help another patient check in and they were so patient and understanding with them as they helped the person fill out the form. My daughter who's only 11 even said wow, I like this place, they're really nice. So if you are wondering if you should go to the Orting location vs the Puyallup location please take the extra minutes to go to Puyallup location. The care you will receive here will be good. You will be taken care of and you will not feel a type of way when you walk out. read more

My child suffered a finger injury, was looking for the closest urgent care with an opening the soonest. I heard for another faculty closer with last but had already booked an appointment here. It was easy to set up an appointment online and to check in. I was greeted friendly by a staff member, the check in nurse was good with taking vitals and listen to what happened. I had hoped for a doctor to see her, an ARNP entered the room she did not introduce herself and did not seem to understand how the injured occurred, I repeated my statement. The X-ray was quick but I was told it could take the radiologist up to 30 minutes to read the results and then the provider would be back. They do not know that I have an app that shows me how soon the results come in! Saw the results at 12:16pm and The provider came in at 12:28pm. Thankfully there were no breaks or fractures and her finger just severely bruised and I was told I could it take a week or two for it to heal completely. I was given paperwork for a sprain that included having it put in a buddy splint, which they did not do. Now I'll be taking her into her pediatrician office to have them splint it! Crazy hot mess, but like I said the provider didn't really seem to care hey we were there or her injury. read more

Every time I've been here I either get underserved or refused service. By all means their services may be limited but the fact that they don't give any insight to other helpful options, they have biases that impact how they serve their community, they simply "don't want to" or "feel comfortable" based on how you look, is what makes them the worst urgent care I've been to. How are you going to work in health care and not attempt to care for the whole person, be culturally incompetent and also profile & refuse patients based on their needs. If a patient has a need that's listed in every health care system, why can't you all find a way to actually help that person if the systems are supposed to be "streamlined." Because let's be real... when they were asked in an interview why they wanted to work for Indigo or why they wanted to go into health care, I'm sure they legit said something along the lines of they wanted to help people.... BUT They don't though. So take my advice don't let them have a chance at disappointing you. Save your effort, time, breath and gas. read more

They are not at all transparent in pricing, and horrific at follow-up. Went for breathing problem; $250 before even being seen. Told an x-ray was needed, and a breathing treatment. Bam! A day later a $250 bill came in the mail. Was never once told that those items were not part of the initial $250, so you're out $500 basically without being told up-front. 4 Days later, the antibiotics prescribed aren't doing their job, so you call for more. Told you need to come back in, but sorry, no appointments, and you'd be out another $250 at a minimum. They are very nice, but kind of secretive on what you're billing billed for. That's not a good day to do business, and not immediately caring for someone who had just been there is extremely poor patient care. read more

This place is always busy. Same day service is almost impossible. 5 hrs wait time or longer. They rejected multi patients to another clinic. If you make an appointment then it is no problem. By the way, parking lot is very small and same complex as Starbucks and depending the time of the day, you may have to wait at least 30 mins to find parking. I called at 8:10am to verify and add to waitlist. I walked in at 8:40. Was told to hang tight. 9:00 comes and not one person in the waiting room. I ask the receptionist what the hold up is. She then proceeds to tell me from the time I called until the time I walked in we missed a time block to be seen??? WHAT?! Now we have to wait for another time block?!? So odd. So frustrating. The BIGGEST thing that annoys me about this place is that it's called "urgent care", but it's only urgent if you have an appointment. I was going to try to have my kids seen first thing when they opened. My children have eye infections and need to be seen, so we went here since it is the closest facility to our home. The MA that helped us at the counter told me the wait time and I said it was ok and couldn't wait. I could hear her sigh as if she actually wanted to help us. So THANK YOU to her! I have been sick with pneumonia and then sinus infection over 1.5 months. I went to this location as my primary was out of town. I strongly suggest this location for urgent needs. Wait time were very good, the DR. I saw was compassionate and listened but most of all the X-ray tech who also did my intake was amazing. He was so kind and gentle and even noticed a scratch on my arm and put a bandaid on it when he didn't need to care. Their staff are good, the tech was amazing and the providers are great. My only recommendation is to tell the staff if they call you with follow up results to speak more softly as I did hear results of patients. I did not hear names of patients but I did hear a couple test result over the phone. read more

And the only number they give me does t work half the time and the other half it just beeps like no service to that number. So I must have another appointment just to do what should have been done. My bad rating is not for the service I could have gotten here, it is for the location. When we arrived there was no parking, usually this indicates the facility is busy, not this case. There are parking stalls reserved for Starbucks and a bank which share the parking lot with the urgent care. The bank was empty, however, nobody was using their stalls. Because of coming here, I wasted 2 hours without treatment (yet still got a bill) and was sent to the emergency room at Good Samaritan hospital - which was a 10 hour endeavor because of crowding (and waaay more $$). I will not go to Indigo again even though it's close to home. Here's what happened. I had a sore throat for a few days which resulted in a peritonsillar abscess, or a bubble-like growth near my wisdom tooth. This caused huge pain when swallowing, eating and sleeping. Unfortunately I've had it once before in college, and at that time a small family practitioner drained it in his office resulting in immediate relief! This is what I was looking for. Unfortunately the doctor I saw was brand new to Indigo AND to this area - from the South - and she "didn't feel comfortable" doing this simple procedure. I basically begged her to just drain it, but she told me to go elsewhere. Wow. What a waste of 2 hours to be checked in, vitals taken, seen, diagnosed, and then sent away! As I alluded to above, at Good Samaritan it was an even worse situation with a full waiting room, 4 hours to see a doctor, 8 hours to get it drained and out in 10. I had to pay for the ER room, a separate bill for the ER doctor, etc. etc. This horrible day and extra cost - to the tune of $1,700 - would not have happened if they had someone capable at Indigo to take care of this simple procedure. 2 stars for quick and friendly check-in. read more

you get an xray, and they tell you to go to a specialist but copayment $50 needs to be paid before anyone can see you. The xray doesn't show much, they will tell you to take tylenol and go home. The place is clean and I was seen fairly fast. The staff seemed at that time very friendly. The downside of this location is that Starbucks traffics hogs up the parking lot and is sometimes hard to get in/out. I went there for severe pain in my jaw/face that was getting worse. Since it was a holiday my pcp was closed. I was advised that although my ears/canals looked fine I have an ear infection and Sudafed was recommended. 24 hours later my face was swollen and the pain was getting worse. I sought a second opinion with a dentist to rule out an abscess. I called urgent care back asking what I should do as I cannot tolerate the pain and I'm maxing out the Advil/Tylenol I can do take In a day. I also want to call out that the individual i saw during my appointment encouraged a phone call if my symptoms got worse and that we would try antibiotics. When I finally got the same person on the phone I saw in the office, I basically was advised that I was impatient - no antibiotics. I felt like they were thinking I was script shopping. Over the weekend my face started to swell even more that I could see it reaching my eye, I could only use a straw to eat/drink. Monday came around and I went to my pcp and they were puzzled why I wasn't given an antibiotic as it appeared I had a salivary gland obstruction and no signs of an ear infection. I'm fairly dissatisfied that my concerns weren't taken seriously when I called.I'm also bothered that i received a bill for a visit where I was incorrectly diagnosed and had to seek consultations from other doctors creating more out of pocket expenses for me.... because of this I spent my holiday eating/drinking out of a straw and crying through most of it. I took my daughter in here for an ear infection. The staff were really nice as soon as we walked in. Paper work did not take long. We did not have to wait long to see anyone. Unlike when we drive all the way up to her doctor in Renton. We saw ARNP Tonya Goodson. She was awesome with my daughter. I will definitely come back again if I have an emergency. The only downside really has nothing to do with the actual facility. It has to do with the location. Whoever did the plans for this building really did not think things through. Putting a Starbucks with a drive through was a horrible idea. I had a morning appointment. I could not get into the parking lot due to the backup of people waiting in the drive through line at Starbucks. There were a few spaces in the lot just could not get to them. Glad I couldn't though because I might not ever have been able to get out. I with a few other people parked where it looked like there was a no parking sign that had been turned around. Beyond frustrated with my experience here. Came in with severly plugged ear. Saw the Dr....and he did some probing and removed some wax. No relief from the plugged ear though. Felt exactly the same when I left, and I was told if it didnt improve to see my primary care provider. For this I paid $275! I feel like much more could have been tried. JOSEPH GUTHRIE NEEDS TO BE FIRED. I attempted to receive care today at the Indigo Urgent Care in Puyallup, the wait was short and the nurses were nice, so far so good. We get into the room the nurses brief my info with me, in doing so they went over my medication allergies one of which being vaseline which causes lip swelling, well I'm already at this appointment because my lips are so chapped and swollen. In comes "Doctor" Joseph Guntrie, I attempt to explain my situation and he continues to interrupt me several times, I explained it was my face (not like you cant look at me and see everything because it's on my face) he asked me THREE more times what I was seeking care for and patronized my answers. He told me my lips were not swollen.(I can feel they are swollen.. because they're my lips) He tries to prescribe me ... VASILINE !!!! I responded as politely as I could (since by this point he has already made the visit uncomfortable with his aggressive nature) asking if he even read my chart before he came in. He had not. This angered him, so when it was clear his behavior would escalate I requested to be treated by a different doctor... This was obviously a huge mistake because his aggressive behavior turned into screaming at my family, pushing through my 20 month old and my wife to get through the door. My wife said to him can you please not do this in front of my daughter you would have ran her over if I hadnt gotten to her in time. (she was underneath him when my wife was able to pick her up) He did not care that he scared my daughter and almost hurt her, he screamed in my wife's way to "Move! Get out of my way! Move!" He continued yelling loud enough for the entire clinic to hear that I have no right to a different doctor, he doesnt have to treat me, he is abused by customers all day and doesnt need to take it from me, he also said I need to leave, and that I would be being banned from their urgent care centers all together. After he pushed through my very young daughter my wife requested a grievance form, he denied us one over and over threatening to call the police, when I asked him to write down his information he mocked me and then shoved his nametag into my face yelling YOU can write it down. He was threatening and intimidating my whole family, we finally got a card with a number on it. I did call and report him. We made an appointment regarding the fall of an older person. We specifically requested the presence of an X-ray tech, if an X-ray was deemed necessary. When the appointment was made, they could not guarantee a tech would be available, which was fine. They said they'd call if no tech was available, as the Ruston office did last week (right after the fall). After a 45 minute drive, we arrived only to be told no X-ray tech. This was unacceptable as we were pointed in our request. I understand the pressure HCW's are under, and we have always received excellent care through Multicare. I only gave this a one star because the CNA who worked with my mom was amazing. For the Nurse Practitioner, Darren, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to him. My mom is 79 years old and went to Indigo on Saturday 9/21 about noon. Her chief complaints were shoulder pain and shortness of breath. Not only was he extremely rude and inconsiderate, he told her that her injury, which she thinks occurred about 3 months ago and hasn't really bothered her until recently, was something she just needed to suck up and deal with and there was nothing he would do for it. He wasn't going to prescribe her any pain medication either, which she never asked for. She actually wanted a cortisone shot. He was then informed she had morphine at home and didn't want pain medication. When she asked about her shortness of breath, he asked if she smoked, she said she was a former smoker (8 years) but let him know she had a cold in the last week and this was a new symptom. Told her this is what happens when you smoke for 50 years and then stated "I have nothing for you". She was not given an x-ray for her lungs (but did give one for her shoulder). Needless to say, she was seen in the ER yesterday with pneumonia and given a breathing treatment and sent home with an inhaler. If he would of gotten off his high horse and actually listened to her, she would have been feeling so much better so much sooner. But instead she was an inconvenience to him. I called to speak with management, told them my concerns, they acted concerned and then told me management wasn't available and they would get back to me.....I'm still waiting. read more

Came in right as they opened, was seen quickly by PA-C after I fell on a rope climb at the gym and provider was super personable, efficient, they listened, were nice and after following their instructions, I was as good as new in a week. Definitely will use again if needed and recommend to others. read more
