Then, when I did try to make a purchase, the person tried to overcharge me for the jewelry, insulted me when I challenged him on being overcharged and refused to explain as to why I was being charged more than the listed price!! When I pointed out he (the owner) was trying to "rip me off," his assistant became hostile and told me to leave the store!! When I told the assistant it was not any of his business and this was between myself and the owner, the assistant spoke to me using profanity!! Recently I inherited a large diamond ring that has been in my family for over 85 years but the setting was old and too large for my hand. Julia spent time with me and designed a setting on the computer that suited me perfectly. She listened to my concerns and wants and created a ring that is gorgeous! Everything I asked for was accomplished and I am extremely pleased with the results. They even added "wings" inside the ring so it can slide with ease over my knuckle and stops the diamond from turning. I'm looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

The shop was cluttered and unclean, setting a questionable tone. They tried to convince me that I needed to apply an additional 54% reduction on the 14-karat gold price, even though the spot price of $71 per gram was already adjusted for purity. This was just a tactic to lower their offer even more. They also lied about the weight of my gold, claiming I had only 9.7 grams when the reality was different. In contrast, Dublin Jewelers offered me a fair and honest price of $760 for the gold and an additional $105 for the gemstones, totaling $865. This stark difference highlighted how much Guy Edward's was trying to not just shortchange me but completely rip me off and take advantage of a potentially unknowing customer. They were not only undervaluing the gold but also ignoring the actual weight and the value of the gemstones. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I initially went in, I pretended not to know anything about the actual gold value. Once I mentioned the correct spot price, they looked surprised and tried to gaslight me one last time, but ultimately they gave up once it was clear that I knew exactly what was going on. The entire Family and Staff joined in on the dishonest tactics, collectively trying to gaslight me and push me into thinking the other shop made a miscalculation. It was a coordinated effort to rob me. Gold price is easy to see there should be no games played with the price they knew there is zero excuse for this even removing the value of stones they were trying to rob me as Dublin Jewelers offered me 760$ for gold ALONE comparing that to Guy Edward's offer of 404$ it's clear this wasn't just them offering a bad rate but them completely trying to take advantage of me and steal from me. In summary, Guy Edward's Jewelry is not trustworthy. They knew what they were doing and chose to deceive me anyway. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business there to look elsewhere and choose reputable jewelers like Dublin Jewelers. This business is NOT helping their customers get the full value for their precious metals . We wanted to purchase an engagement ring of a certain style, shape, and size. Ryan showed us a setting. I was concerned about the diamond falling out of the setting as I know many people who this has occurred, and he assured me the "diamond was not going anywhere." The ring was ordered. I was concerned about it falling out of the setting, so when I looked at my hand 5 months later, I was shocked to see, not only the diamond gone, but the entire setting had snapped off the ring. I was left with the band and two small prongs sticking up from the band. How does that happen? It happens when the incorrect setting is used for a diamond that is too heavy, and the setting is not strong enough to support the diamond. I was devastated! What made matters worse was the way this situation was handled. We went to the store and spoke with the owner, Bob. His son Ryan was the person who sold us the ring. Ryan insisted we picked out the setting. We did not. And. If we chose a setting that did not support the diamond size or shape, it was Ryan a graduate of GIA (Gemological Institute of America) to guide us to the appropriate setting. He did not. Bob took over, defending his son. Ryan sat in the corner of the store, smirking, as words were exchanged between us. Not once was an acknowledgment made for guiding us in the wrong direction. Bob tried to tell us stories about how customers of his had the same thing happen after crashing her bicycle into a tree or filing documents in a filing cabinet. I did not crash into a tree and it's 2024. Documents are filed electronically, and are not longer filed in a cabinet! Truthfully, his stories reinforced our findings about the inferior products he sells What was done? Eventually, after much deliberation, a refund was given for the band. Nothing for the lost diamond. AND... it wasn't a 100% refund. A 20% RESTOCKING FEE WAS SUBTRACTED!! Reviews help with making decisions. Use the review as your warning, and purchase your jewelry at another store. The few reviews I read did not warrant me to go elsewhere. This one gives you clear insight as to how this business is run.
