I would absolutely recommend Haddonfield Fine Jewelers. I could not have had a better experience designing my fiancé's engagement ring. When I was first looking into getting an engagement ring, Shopped around at 5 or 6 different jewelry stores. I had an idea of what I wanted but realized I was probably going to have to design a custom ring. All the jewelers I spoke with were very impersonal and seemed to push me in the direction they wanted, rather than listen to what I was interested in. Then I went here and spoke with Sam, who didn't push anything on me. He asked what I was looking for, was cognizant of my budget, and explained everything to me so that I knew exactly what the process was and exactly what the next steps were. From there, he gave me his cell phone and was constantly in touch with me, keeping me updated at every step of the way. He was able to get a number of different diamonds into the store so that we could pick one out. After that, I sent him a ton of sample rings that my fiancé had shown interest in online. He used those samples to make the first model of the ring. I must have sent the models back 4 or 5 times for revisions. Every time that there was an aspect of the ring I wanted to change, he presented me with a ton of options and we went from there. Never once did he make me feel like I was a bother or a needy client, and every time I sent it back for revisions he delivered. My fiancé ended up absolutely loving the ring!! read more

We could not have a more positive experience at Haddonfield Jewelers. My now-fiance and I went in to design my custom engagement ring, and Bear and the rest of the staff were so welcoming, accommodating, and listened to all of our needs. We appreciated greatly that they said up front there's no haggling on the price, and that they'd work within our budget and not push us to go above that. Working with Bear to design the perfect ring was a breeze. He took a picture I had as inspiration and designed exactly what I had in mind. His recommendations on stone size, the width of the band, etc were spot on. The coolest part was getting to try on a 3D printed model of the ring with the stones inserted! This was at no extra cost to us. We could not be happier with the finished product and our experiences there. We'll definitely be repeat customers for our wedding bands! Really the best jeweler in the area. My gold necklace had broken for the 3rd time in the past couple years, and I needed to take it to somewhere where I could trust that they would do good work. The first two places did a bad job in fixing it - they just put some gold thing on there with pliers right in front of me. It only lasted a couple months with this fix. I went in to Haddonfield Fine Jewelers and was instantly greeted. I had called earlier in the day and they even remembered me from the call! I don't post to yelp or review sites very often, but wanted to share my experience with them. I had heard that they do a great job, so I decided to give them a shot about a year ago when I was ready to propose to my girlfriend. Tom, Sam, and Bear were extremely nice, and not at all pushy. They wanted to get to know me, and my girlfriend, as opposed to just sell a ring. In fact, I wasn't sure what kind of ring my girlfriend would like, so Sam told me to walk my girlfriend through a franchise jewelry store to see which style engagement ring she'd migrate to. I did this, and then took some pictures of the style and sent them to Sam. Bear and Sam then customized a ring, very similar in style, but with some uniqueness that my girlfriend would love. They also spent a long time educating me on the difference in the 4 C's. If you don't know what they are, stop in and ask! Long story short, I gave her the ring and she loved it. She's seen so many people with the same department store rings and LOVES that hers is special. If you're a guy you don't want to mess up this decision. DON'T buy from a chain. After setting a budget, I described what I was dreaming up as the perfect ring. From there, I was given options and suggestions to consider to make the most of what I was working with. After making selections, a wax mold was made and I got to see what my ring would look like. I was impressed! After approving it, I was able to have the ring made and ready in time for the drop-date and propose without a hitch. Communication throughout the whole experience was great and they kept me informed as to what the next steps would be. The designer himself, Bear, produced a ring that was better than what was in the selection books, and even better than I had imagined. He's a master at his craft and I have the confidence to go back for more custom work such as a pendant or bracelet for her.
