My insurance company told me to take my car in for an estimate. I drove it down there that day (six weeks ago) to get the estimate. The only thing they would do is set an appointment for an estimate, six weeks out. These clowns recently bought out an amazing local, community-minded body shop (CarStar). We used CarStar a few times over the years. You would drive the car in - they would send someone out to take photos of the damage... a few hours later, they emailed you and the insurance company the estimate and scheduled the work. Caliber makes you wait six weeks before they can even look at your car. After waiting six weeks, I am told, "Oh, your insurance company "usually" sends their estimator out to take photos and approve the repair. I explained that my insurance company was the one that told me to bring it into them in the first place. The receptionist explains, well - our Estimator Bill handles the estimates with your insurance company, and he says they have to come out. So call them and have them come out to look at your car, and then we can schedule a repair. I waited SIX WEEKS for this lazy crap. I called my insurance company back - they told me in no uncertain terms that they would work from the repair estimate from the body shop. Great - I'll do that, just not CALIBER. So much for trying to support my neighborhood business. I will find another - more reputable and customer-oriented shop.

I've had to call them every time the truck was supposed to have been done and wasn't for some reason or another. Last week it was early this week. Wednesday it was tomorrow. Thursday it was tomorrow by 3. Today I had to call at 2:00 to make sure it was done and was told I could pick it up anytime before 3:00 because they were closing early. When I asked why they never called so I could actually make it there by 3:00 she claimed she had just then been told it was done. I really don't believe her this time. Every time I have called she was just about to call me. She did make arrangements for me to pick up the car on Saturday, but it really is the least they could do at this point. They have had the vehicle for 22 days for a $3,000 repair. In the end they did good work. Worked out the details and met us on Saturday to pick up the truck. Will I go back? I don't know. I sure do wish they communicated better.

At first, I didn't think it was too bad, but then I failed the Uber inspection (and I couldn't work ) and then I noticed some other things wrong, like the headlights were off and out of line, and the air conditioning didn't work, something that I didn't realize was wrong because it was cold outside. So we got three quotes from different places, one of them was Bob's collision. The two others were cheaper, it's true, but Bob's was the most detailed. They thought of everything. They thought of lightbulbs, they thought about how far back the radiator got pushed, they thought about the air conditioner, and they thought about all the sensors. They didn't just think about how the front of the car would look. We chose Bob's collision because we knew they would do the best job, and they did. They worked with our insurance company, and there was absolutely no stress. When we got back the car, it was like it was brand new. We are so happy with how it turned out. Jim gave me an estimate a few months ago for additional minor repairs along with a complete paint job. When it came time to do the work, Jim then increased the price dramatically. He then promised to raise the vehicle on a lift when it was in the shop to give me a more accurate estimate. That new estimate never happened as Jim said parts were not available. I checked online as soon as I returned home and found several sources for parts. I also asked for an alignment while my vehicle was in the shop. Jim told me that someone crawled underneath the car and said it did not need an alignment. That is not how you check alignment. Really, If the vehicle pulls to the left or right then it is alignment related. The vehicle was never raised on a hoist nor put on an alignment rack. I let Burton Heights Auto Body repair my vehicle and was not satisfied with the service, nor the deceit and unkept promises. I have referred many people to this establishment in the past making the company many thousands of dollars. That does not include the thousands that I have spent. Yet, when I had to go through the process all Jim cared about was the insurance check and not making the customer happy by meeting the requirements and promises that he made to me. Deceit is not good business... NO MORE REFFERALS!

When they returned it the first time a warning light was still (it wasn't on until accident) that was then repaired upon return the first time. Only one part was backordered it was just VERY SLOW workmanship! Also I was lied too several times, so be careful! This cost me over $3000 in rental should have only been half that. Years ago Abra was awesome but now not so good, my vehicle was a hybrid with only 9000 miles but after the accident and Abra I traded that vehicle. Maybe they will be good and maybe not, like with me NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE really very bad!
