I had a disappointing service experience with Gerber Collision & Glass Lake Elsinore location on 9/04/25 and 9/05/25 , and unfortunately, the repairs were both unprofessional and ineffective. both my husband and i left work early to go pick up the car since we also had a rental to drop off on 9/04 and was expecting my car to be ready and with good quality expectations of the repair work that was done but unfortunately, the quality of the repair work was very disappointing. to our findings , the trunk was not closing properly , crooked and unsymmetrical , and still looked as if the trunk was still pushed in! Due to the substandard repairs, the car had to be taken back into the shop to have the work redone correctly. The next day , we got a call that repairs were completed and car was ready for pick up . Again, both my husband and i had to leave work AGAIN ( loosing out on another day of work and money) . Upon our arrival we noticed the same issues with the car !! trunk was still unsymmetrical and one side looked like the trunk wasn't even closed all the way still which could cause water damage from rain in in the future on a rainy day ! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We spoke to Chuck and showed him our concerns , and he didn't even seemed to care. He was dismissive of our concerns and quality expectations and even commented " theres no perfect car in the world" .[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This made us more frustrated and uncomfortable because he noticed the issues we were talking about and he was still dismissive of our concerns.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I even had to pull him to the side to see the difference on other cars that were parked on the parking lot ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have had my car for 4 years and my car was brand new off the dealership lot , everything was flush and in perfect quality before everything happened and i needed to get repairs on it . [[HIGHLIGHT]]the advisor even mentioned to chuck if maybe they can take it to the back to see if they can try to adjust it again in which Chuck declined again says " its fine , i promise there is no perfect car out there ".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wow just , wow . After being overwhelmed from going back and forth we took our car to inspect it fully .. We then noticed a big gap ( which wasn't like that before ) on the crease of the trunk and bumper. Also removed my window and didn't even put back the tint . At this point we lost trust of this repair shop so we took it apart to see why is was uneven with big gaps and to our findings , we noticed BURNS MARKS FROM THE WELDING , AND THERE WAS STILL SOME DAMAGE TO THE FRAME AND NOT FIXED COMPLETELY !! i believe this is why the work is just poor quality . work was done lazy , sloppy, carelessly and just unprofessional ! This is just a horrible experience and we are so unhappy with the service . now, i will have to bring it back in and waste even more of our time due to negligence. read more

When I arrived a bit early Jessica greeted me politely while she notified an appraiser who turned out to be Kaz Tateiwa. Again I was greeted politely while we went outside to assess at the damage. If I could give it 0 stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It all started off great and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then about 3 days later i get a text stating my car is ready. I show up my bumper is a completely different color than my car. They tried pushing me to take my car back in awful conditions. I denied it the rep than said we only have 32 working hours to work on your before we lose money and have to start paying for the rental ourselves. I denied the car repair and they took kept it to try to match the paint. This happens about three more times and I keep going back excited to get my car back and every time I show up the car looks worse than the time before. On the last call I show up and tell them it's almost matching and come to find out they then replaced the original bumper replacement with an flimsy aftermarket bumper. I than bring up the concern of bumper and that color still doesn't match. The rep than called over the manager and the manager explained that they won't keep my car anymore that they won't let me leave with the rental and that I need to take my car to another company that can repair the damages they have caused themselves. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fine I went inside to get my car keys, and the front desk lady was forcing me to sign a satisfactory paper that stated "I am satisfied with the repairs and paint job that Gerber has completed" I didn't sign I refused to and she refused to hand me my keys and copies of all paperwork.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My gf than asked the lady "How would you feel if this was your car and instead of fixing it they messed up more and over billed your insurance" Her reply was just rude and disrespectful after all the back and forth she said " Well it's not and to be honest your car wasn't even damaged enough for you to bring it in here for repairs"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the longest 8 weeks of a collision repair ever! We had used the body shop at this location twice previously before the shop was acquired by Gerber Collision, a national chain. Previous service was fine, so we came back when someone backed into our 2002 Ford Explorer and damaged the doors on the passenger side. The accident occured on May 15, 2022 but the shop couldn't see us for the estimate until June 8. We dropped off the car on June 8 and then didn't hear anything from the shop. We knew that finding parts for a car this old could be a delay, so didn't start to be concerned until 3 weeks later. Then we started to text them asking for a status. No response. After 6 weeks with no response, we went to the shop on May 25 to find our now grime-covered car parked in the same spot where we dropped it off. After voicing our concerns, we were told that the insurance company had not approved the repairs. Fortunately I had my paperwork with me to show that was not true. Then we got apologies from the mgr. that he would get right on it and call us that afternoon. No call. When we still had not heard from them by the following afternoon, we returned to the shop and retrieved our car. I called my insurance company to report our situation and to receive a list of others local shops. The Claims Agent told me that Gerber Collision had updated the status as "Car picked up, repairs complete" and were in line for "AutoPay" to cut them a check. There is something wrong at this shop. I can't say how much is incompetence and how much is scam, but it should be avoided. read more

I also was able to get picked up by the rental place and I even left my rental at Gerber when I went to pick up my vehicle.
