I pulled off the road and was directed to Twisted Rod Service Station. When I arrived it was almost closing time, 4:50pm on Friday, I thought I would have to wait overnight for service or wait until Monday. I spoke to Caleb and he took a test ride, returned and told me I needed brakes. I told him that I was out of town, any way that it could be worked on tonight, I was still 5 hours away from Leland, my destination? He spoke to his manager and arranged to get the brakes so the car could be repaired that night. Caleb began to work on the wheels while waiting for the parts to arrive. Whitney worked in the office,, customer service, told me that she would remain at the shop with me until the repair was complete so I would feel comfortable, being that I was in unfamiliar territory. I had my new puppy, Brooklyn with me so the owner, forgot his name, sorry, told me that there was an animal friendly bar restaurant, Hillman's a few minutes away. I went to Hillman's for a burger. Whitney called me to update the progress. I returned to Twisted Rod after about 1 1/2 hours and my brakes had been replaced. I was able to make it to my destination that evening confidently that my brakes had been replaced, and safely. I would recommend Twisted Rod for any type of service. Their customer service was excellent, I felt welcome at the shop. They gave my dog Brooklyn a water bowl and offered me beverages.
