We are visiting Florida from Michigan. Unfortunately we had an accident on the way down. We called Gerber when we arrived in Kissimmee and set an appointment. Our driver door took the brunt of the accident and was difficult to open and close. Got to Gerber, explained what our issue was, and got the door fixed within 20 minutes. Just went threw my insurance (state Farm) to have repairs done. This was back on July 29th 2018, it is now Aug 24 2018, and the repairs to my vehicle (2017 Kia Soul) WERE NOT DONE CORRECTLY. even though Gerber says the repairs were done, and was (Pre-Accident) condition is totally FALSE! I took my car in after someone spray painted my hood. Their estimator, Darren, was the most helpful, explaining what was wrong, how the could fix it and the process of doing that. He answered absolutely every questions I had. My car is bright orange with metallic flecks, and he made sure I was comfortable that they could repaint and blend the car. The process was supposed to take a week, but I dropped my car off on a Friday, and was able to pick it up Tuesday after work. Everything I left in the car was untouched, and the car was cleaned and detail spotless when it rolled out. They worked directly with my insurance company to help me fix my car back to brand new. Horrible place. My fiancee took her 07 ml350 to get minor front end damage. And got the truck back in worse condition than when it was picked up. The mirror is broken they damaged wiring. Nothing is lined up. Between. 25 and. 50 inches in difference. The headlight they replaced doesn't work unless you open and close the hood. The headlight is loose. My door is scratched from the mirror flopping. They used cheap parts. I have before pictures where everything worked before. Maria is rude and they are not accepting responsibility for their actions. She went from a truck she loved to one she doesn't want to drive. read more

I JUST called this place to get a quote. The woman who answered got me the highest quote of all, $277 + tax for my windshield ( I just scheduled for $200 out the door with another company) and did NOT even attempt to ask me if I had previous quote so she might be able to match or nothing, just hung up the phone. Customer service could have been way better since all the other ones at least tried to find out my previous quote to try to get me to schedule with them. read more

My truck was involved in an accident and my insurance company sent me to Gerber's on Amelia. Normally, getting a vehicle repaired, hassling the repair shop is not a pleasant experience, but in this case it was great. Gerber has a seamless operation. An estimator walked around the truck with me, gave me an estimate, called the car rental to come pick me up, and handled everything with my insurance company. They told me it would probably take 7-10 days, and they were finished in 7, and the truck is perfect, a beautiful job. Amy, Rebecca, and Tanya at the Amelia shop and Tiffany at the Forsyth facility where the work was actually done were very pleasant and professional. They kept me informed of the status of my vehicle through the whole process. I could not be any happier with the folks at Gerber and the quality of the work. I hope I never have to have another repair done on a vehicle, but if I do, I'm taking it to Gerber. read more

After being rear ended in April, the insurance company suggested several body shops for my repairs. Having not needing a body shop since 1989, I checked reviews for body shops in my area and decided to go with Gerber. My repairs were "completed" at the end of May. In early July, I brought my car back for some minor adjustments, which were taken care of ASAP. I also asked about the spare tire cover, which was charged as a replacement on the invoice, but clearly not replaced. After searching the shop, they found a cover for a similar car, which turned out to be the wrong cover. I was told they would order another and call me when it was in. At the start of October, I had still not received a call to advise the part was in, so I called to check. I was told it was ordered, and they would check with the parts department and call me back. Still no return call. Over 4 months since my car was returned to me, and I still do not have the part for which I paid $251.94. I see nobody trying to get me my part, or trying to communicate with me to explain what the issue is. A little communication to let me know what is happening would go a long way. read more

My car was returned to me with a dead battery, the ABS light on, the wheel positioning no longer displaying on the dashboard, and the car was out of alignment even though I paid to have it aligned. When I brought my car back to Gerber after they received payment for my insurance claim, I was accused by the Shop Manager of having the car in an accident from the time I picked it up at Gerber and drove it less than 5 miles directly to Lexus, I was told my car did not have the feature that displayed wheel positioning, and I was told that the ABS module was bad and needed to be replaced. My car was diagnosed by Lexus and it was quickly determined that the programming for the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and related systems in my car had been deleted due to the car being without power for an extended period of time during servicing at Gerber (the car was in their shop for 6 weeks). Once the module was reprogrammed, the ABS light turned off, the wheel positioning displayed on the dashboard, and the steering column was able to be centered in relation to the tires. The extended period without power also explains why the battery, which was still under warranty, had been drained and had to be jumped when leaving the Gerber parking lot after servicing. Lexus noted that Gerber should have been able to identify the programming issue and was negligent to release the car back to me without the safety features engaged. In essence, I was driving a car with no ABS system. It was just a really poor experience and my impression was that they got paid and didn't want to deal with it anymore. I am angered that they released the car to me without the ABS engaged and without warning me that it was not engaged. read more
