He is EXTREMELY vocal about his ratings so I wanted to let him know what most consumers deem as "excellent". Price (-1 star)--I told him that the price was more than I had in mind. He asked what I was thinking and I said about half of what he quoted ($300). He stated its a difficult area and can't be done for that (two others quoted me $150) he also did not give me an option to come to him verses him coming to me, as I have read others were offered. He knew the price was an issue and this could have potentially saved me money and better allowed for me to work with his price. I quoted prices with three similar companies, but really wanted to use this outfit because he is local. I understand he is mobile and definitely should get paid for the "house call". I do not know what his rate is to travel, but would have gladly paid around $75 for the 15-minute trip and convenience bringing us up to around $225 in my mind. I had a small, minor dent in the style line of my passenger door inflicted from a shopping cart. I decided to go with a company in Franklin that charged half his rate and did a fantastic job, therefore it CAN be done for less and that is exactly what I am trying to portray to other Yelpers. Shop around for the best deal and don't fall for the smoke and mirrors! Three stars because he does seem like a stand-up guy that truly is working hard for his money.

I found this place, and we were a bit concerned when we saw there were very few reviews and nonexistent on google maps. Weirdly enough, when I first looked on Yelp, there was one review, and that one got removed? There are zero reviews currently, and the person I was messaging through the Yelp app said they just started their Yelp page. In any case, I asked a lot of questions through Yelp, and although the responses weren't the warmest, they responded quickly and I kept asking for more information because they were the cheapest for the work I needed. They also sent me some photos on work they've done, although none of them showed paint jobs (or before / afters). One of their responses made me uncomfortable - other shops I asked for the same work said it'd take 2-3 days (and three to four times the price). When the person from Driveway Doctors came to take a look at the car, they said they'd have to do a glaze and a finish - and could do it in one day. We wanted to know how these two layers would dry in one day, and none of the other shops said they could do it in one day. The response I got was: "this is our profession, we have all the tools and equipment we need to get the job done right and with quick turn around". That didn't really answer my question, and I followed up to ask for a clarification - no response. Eventually, I called the number listed on Yelp, no response but a quick text follow-up. I asked to talk to the person who came to look at the car, and we talked on the phone. He was excellent and explained everything, name is Mena. If I hadn't thought of doing this, I likely would've dropped it and gotten the work done elsewhere because the person responding to me on Yelp didn't seem like someone who cared much about customer service. In any case, I'm glad I pushed through because Mena (or Isaac?) did an excellent job. I'm not entirely sure who ended up doing the work, because Mena came to look at the car, and Isaac is the person we ended up paying (my partner went to meet the person both times so I'm unsure who it was). They pick up your car and drive it to a rented place to work on it (or you can drop it off yourself), and they did a great job, can barely tell the car was ever scratched. Turns out the person who worked on it is currently in trade school, but it was solid work - at least for now. Hopefully the materials used are durable and don't start to fade. We're very happy with the work, I just think the customer service aspect can be greatly improved.
