I brought my car to Gerber Collision & Glass St. Cloud to have body work done through auto insurance after an accident. My experience from start to finish was nothing short of Exceptional! I had the pleasure of dealing with Tanya, the scheduler/receptionist & Jason P, the estimator and they both exceeded all expectations. Customer Service was Excellent as was the work done on my car. I was stuck 2 hours from home with an overheating engine, and was pretty upset and desperate walking in. They sat me down; gave me water and candy, and helped me fix the issue with my coolant. I wish I could rate this lower for how bad this place is. You can't get in contact with the store. You have to call like 10 times over the course of 3 hours just to finally get to the front desk. They have had my car, and still currently have it in for repair for over a month. The door they are replacing has been in inventory for 2 weeks now, all they have to do is paint it, but it's still not completed. They are missing parts, slow as fuck, and just overall unreliable. I would sooner drive with a busted up car than to ever take another vehicle here. 10000% do not recommend. read more

I took my car in to get the roof repainted because of sun damage, and they did an excellant job. So good that another part of the car looked too worn out by comparrison. Bobby (the manager) was extremely accomodating when I asked if he could hold onto the car a bit longer and paint that part as well. He also help identify a problem I had with the AC in an hour that the dealer wanted to take a whole day on and charge me a fortune for. I would definately use these guys again! Their honesty and experience were refreshing compared to other places I've been. Be aware Google Maps doesn't know exactly where they are located. They are immediately across the street from the interestion of Neptune Rd & 13th St, right behind Centennial bank. If you are on Neptune you dog-leg straight across. Our car was hit while parked, causing significant damage to the rear of the vehicle. The driver's insurance suggested Gerber Collision. Gerber kept our car for 8.5 weeks but only charged for 41 hours of labor. Their updates were irregular and infrequent. Finally, they called us to pick up the car. Mark informed us that an ABS sensor was triggered, but it was unrelated to the accident. We test drove the car and found it had a shudder at 40 mph. We returned it to Gerber where Mark denied any issues with the car. We insisted he take a drive with us so he could not pretend the car was returned to its original condition. After a great deal of discussion, Mark agreed to keep the car and diagnose the problem. The next day Mark told us the car had no transmission fluid. He was unable to tell us where the fluid went, as there was transmission fluid in the car prior to the accident. He insisted the issues with the vehicle were unrelated to the accident and/or repairs. We returned to Gerber and filled the transmission fluid. The car continued to shudder. Mark again refused to accept responsibility for the problems. We took our car to another mechanic, Pep Boys in Celebration. Pep Boys found that Gerber had unscrewed the ABS sensor and unplugged the ABS cables. They wrapped the cables around the new suspension that they had just installed. To repair the problem, Pep Boys just had to locate the cables, plug them into the ABS sensor and re-screw it in. Gerber was negligent in their repairs. The issue could have caused serious damage to our car and placed our children in danger. They refused to thoroughly address our concerns and showed poor customer service. We will never recommend this business read more

They do the right thing. We went to a competitor initially, but we got inconsistent results from the people. The people here at Gerber are phenomenal. They take care of you from start to finish and give you good quality work. We even had another perceived issue (which in retrospect wasn't) but they took care of it. I thought I would have a great experience since I have used Gerber at a separate location. I couldn't be more wrong. It all started well and was given verbally and via text an estimated completion date, which included " if there are any delays we will contact you". Well delays happened and I was not contacted, I had to make a call to find out the status. I was told it's all set we just need to wash and final inspect and it will be ready the next day. So the next day I drove to the shop around 5pm only to be told that they didn't like one of the parts used and sent it back and were awaiting another, which would have been fine if communicated but it wasn't. I asked when the part would arrive and was told that evening and they would install, wash and have it ready the following day. Again no call was made to me the next day so I called only to find out that the car was not ready as was indicated. The following day I received a text saying the car was done and ready for pick up so I left my work to pick it up. On my drive a received a call from the general manager indicating that it was done and she was sorry for the lack of communication and wanted to give me a gas card and that her technician would get it but not until 430. I wasn't going to turn around so I went to the shop and arrived around 4pm and was asked to wait. After sitting for approximately 20 minutes I told the receptionist to get the GM because I just wanted my car. The GM came out and I told her I just wanted to get my car and she responded by saying "well I told you 4:30" which I found to be rude and unprofessional to say the least. I eventually got the card and the car and left. After the weekend I realized that the park assist feature was not working. I called the shop and they said to bring it in. When I brought it in they inspected it and said one of the sensors on the left rear side was not working, they would submit it to geico for approval and call me "no later than Tuesday, I promise. I guarantee I will call Tuesday" from the GM. Tuesday came and went no call and now I went directly to claim adjuster to switch shops. The claim adjuster called the shop only for the GM to tell her that they couldn't determine if the sensor was from the collision or not. This was never said to me and is in fact a contradiction to what was said to me last Friday. It seems to me that this shop has an issue with their leadership at the store level and does not hold honesty, integrity or communication at a very high level. My experience with another Gerber collision was so spectacular I can only hope this is isolated to this one shop and not indicative of the company as a whole but in the future because of this I will not use Gerber collision again in the future. read more

Such helpful people who work here. My car looked brand new and even after I got it back I had a problem with my battery and they fixed it for me within 20 minutes. It wasn't related to why my car was in before so I was surprised they were so helpful about it. My tires have also been discontinued on my car so they searched everywhere for me and fixed my car right up. Highly recommend them for anyone who needs an auto repair. read more

I am completely dissatisfied with Gerber's repairs on my 2013 Mazda CX-5. I was in a collision in May and it is now the end of November and Mazda is STILL replacing defective parts that Gerber installed. I understand used parts are acceptable, but the used parts they installed were subpar and dangerous. My car wasn't right from day one. The crappy paint job was the first thing I noticed, but more importantly it also wasn't running or handling right. I gave St. Cloud Gerber a few chances to correct what I noticed, but found they were lying about repairs that were charged to my insurance company. At the time of the accident, only one tire was damaged in the accident, the front passenger side, which Gerber actually replaced with a used tire. Not only did they install a used tire on my front passenger side, they also put the same model used tire on the rear passenger side, so I would not notice the mismatched tires. I didn't notice it for a few days, but the handling of the vehicle was still horrendous, so I had to bring it back to Gerber. They denied touching the back tire. I complained to my insurance company, USAA, and they did not believe me either, until I showed Gerber and the adjustor, Troy, pictures of my car being loaded on the tow truck. The pictures on the tow truck clearly show a different brand tire on the rear passenger side - therefore catching Gerber in a lie. I brought my car back a few days later to because it was shaking when I drove on the highway and shaking even worse when I stepped on the brakes. Gerber then proceeded to say that my rotors were warped, and they would replace them as a courtesy along with putting the original tires on my car. (It is noteworthy that my adjustor, Troy and the shop owner, Bobby both knew each other for years from working together at USAA) I picked up my car again from Gerber, and drove it only to find they replaced the tires again, but with 2 different brand tires. Also, they damaged my rims putting the tires on. I reported my discontent to USAA's claims manager and he advised me to bring my car to another Gerber, in Orlando. My car still did not drive the same after the repairs by either Gerber. I did not feel safe in my vehicle, and brought it Mazda and that is where they found my tires were not balanced, the rotors were still warped, the plastic shield under the car was not replaced, the headlight assembly was already hazing over, the washer fluid tank had a crack in it, clips were broken on the trim molding, and now my brake caliper is broken. Also, the paint is peeling from the hood and bumper that Gerber originally did. James, from Sport Mazda in Orlando, now has my car and I am sure more issues will be found. Sport Mazda, in Orlando, has given me a courtesy car and they are going through my Mazda to ensure my safety, because God knows what the mechanics at Gerber did to it. The accident was not my fault, I trusted the recommendation of my insurance company to fix my car, but they are not even representing my best interest. Both Gerber and USAA have left me no other option, but to get an attorney involved. Please heed my warning. Take a TON of pictures of the entire car before having repairs done anywhere. And avoid Gerber in St. Cloud at ALL costs - they are liars and perform shady services with absolutely no regard to the safety of their customers! read more

My vehicle was taken here for front and rear end damage. After a week of my vehicle being there, I didn't receive a phone call or email or message of some sort to advise me the vehicle was being worked on or even finished. After calling them several times and being placed on hold each and every time for at least ten minutes while they find who's working on my car, they tell me to come in and my car is finished. Once I arrived, I go and check my vehicle to find most of the repairs to be done and put back together fairly well. However, I almost immediately noticed my rear bumper and front bumper to be completely different colors then the the rest of my car. After explaining to the employee, I was not satisfied with the mix match, he calls his supervisor who explains for 5 minutes the vehicle will always have slight differences in paint when it comes to plastic and medal, which I already know but not as bad as the paint they applied to my bumpers which were way darker. While trying to find a solution in the matter for almost 10 minutes the supervisor, finally agrees to re paint and find a better match but has a horrible attitude about it. This happens another two times in which they couldn't match the paint to my vehicle, therefore I explained I was taking my car somewhere else to get worked on because they couldn't get the job done. When I call to pick my car up they tell me I couldn't because it was not ready, mind you the vehicle was done just the paint was off, I explain this and they could not answer. After arguing with the front desk employee that I was going to pick my vehicle up regardless if it was finished or not, I went and picked up my vehicle up And noticed there was a Dunkin Donuts wrappers in my cup holder, mind you I never eat from there. The front desk lady that picks up the phone always has an attitude and never knows answers to any questions regarding my vehicle. In summary, this place has poor customer service and poor repair skills in regards to paint matching, they find excuses and never a solution to keep you satisfied. This was a horrible experience. We spent 3 weeks trying to have a quote sent to the insurance company with no avail. We went into the office several times giving them very specific instructions and they ignored them. The final straw was going into the office and they had not even read an email from the insurance company from the week prior. The agent again gave them instructions. Their only answer was that I was not listening when I was trying to find out why they had not followed the instructions. We are now going to a different company and our approval for the work to be completed was done in less than 5 minutes. read more

Mediocre repairs at best. Car went in for a repair on the driver door which was covered fully under insurance. Used parts were required as a result of this, which is out of the hands of both the repair shop and the customer. Understandable. Took a week for the repairs to be made which was fine, but once the car was done I did not receive notice that it was done until I called to inquire. Upon reception of the vehicle the door lines did not line up, not even close. I poined out to the manager that I could just about put my fingers in between the door and and the body. I also pointed out two large dings in the door. They took the car back to the shop to realign the door. The lines still do not match up, still not close. Not much I can do about that at this point or at that time. The manager insisted that someone would be following up with me about the door dings, which never happened. I feel as though a year is long enough to wait for a follow up and I am too frustrated by the ordeal to bother going back. The window squeaks every tike you roll it up and a massive amount of wind noise can be heard over 30 MPH. This is a luxury car, it was not like that before. Lesson learned. A pretty building does not mean pretty service. I can't speak for all Gerber locations but I will absolutely be avoiding this one from now on. I advise you to do the same. read more
