I ended up having to ping him my location since I was having difficulty figuring out where exactly on the highway we were. He worked quickly, was knowledgeable about the situation, and was very friendly the entire time. When we were billed, he said he was an independent contractor so he negotiated the price with us. The total ended up being $75, which I think is pretty reasonable considering how quickly he worked and how much less expensive this was than calling a tow truck.

After replacing the starter and doing the oil change the car stops working within a day. Towed it to a reputable mechanic who says that Ryan short changed the car 2 quarts of oil, causing irreparable crankshaft and cylinder misfires. Basically, the engine blew because there wasn't oil.
