The church the festival/fair is held on is beautiful and so are the views of the surrounding PA area. The landscaping for the grounds is also well done too, it really is in a great area. There is plenty of parking for the event with many staff members around to direct you to a spot. The festival isn't too expensive and neither is the food or beer! The Lech beer is my personal favorite, a few of those and you'll be feeling no pain. Of course, Pierogies are recommended. The fair is aimed towards younger kids but they have plenty of rides and activities and seemed like it would be fun. There is plenty of vendor tents to look at with a variety of merchandise, and the vendors/staff we all talked to are extremely friendly too. They also have many live shows from music to acrobatics. Plenty of benches to eat food at too. They even gave a 'casino' section to test your luck and possibly win some money too! There are bathrooms in the church cafeteria building but they also have many Porto potties, the cleanest I have ever seen! All in all, it was a fun little festival with plenty to do and the grounds they are held on are really grand. Whether you are Polish or not it's worth a stop by and it is a fun way to spend Labor Day weekend!!

The room was not clean, carpet was disgusting, mirror backdrop was dirty (I cleaned the mirrors) and the service was terrible. The food was cold but tasty. It took over an hour between the salad course and the entree to be served. The coffee was cold. no rolls or breads were served with the meal. They did not own up to the contract and charged more per person then what was quoted. When questioned, was given a "anew" list of charges. Needless to say, I will NEVER go there again whether I am a guest or not. They seriously need to gut the place and start over if they will be continuing to advertise using their place for functions.

You used to be able to order lunch on your golf cart and pick up at the outdoor Cafe, they closed that and now only have pre cooked sandwiches that are limited and often stale The dining area is only open a few nights a week and that is sub par at best. We want to leave but the club will not allow it stating the by laws, to request you resign only during the off season, and the communication is extremely poor from the management. Many people have left during the mid season in the past but now new management wished to pick and choose who can. I wouldn't recommend this place as they are more concerned about money and not communication to members, actually don't feel like a member at all as outside activities take priorities over members.

F and I went to our first show here in May after living in Trenton for 16 years. Shame on us! We didn't know what we were missing! After, we interviewed the Artistic Director, C. Ryanne Domingues for our podcast Trentonwaves.com, we immediately purchased tickets for the current show Morir Sonyando. The plays mounted in this theater are relevant to situations and events that impact the citizens of our City. The play was fantastic! A 3 person drama that was well acted, staged and directed. We can't wait for the upcoming season to see what's in store.

A volunteer always gives a good presentation speech. Also depending on the year they offer free coffee and cookies (they did this year). We are planning to come to the Trenton film festival which takes place soon. But you need to plan ahead in terms of snacks / tickets / restroom breaks. Some negatives: - Offer some sandwiches or something somewhat healthy for sale during intermission. In years past they had vendors but I guess these vendors don't want to sell there. - In the past I did "will call" for the tickets but they seem to get confused when you do that. So it is safest to bring your tickets printed out but they should accept more modern methods. - The ladies room is in disrepair. In the ladies room the stall door / wall literally started separating from the floor. So only one usable stall in the ladies room! This could be a safety issue as well. I told a staff member and she said she will tell the manager. I think the negatives are a result of budget issues but as other theaters are showing these types of films and there is more completion they will need to show some improvement.

The Grange Fair is a traditional country fair run annually at this site in Wrightstown, Pa. Livestock displays and competitions, 4H halls full of pies, pickled foods, flower arrangements, and art, with colored ribbons for the winners. In addition, you can buy a tractor, arrange for a home visit by a landscaper or stone mason, and indulge yourself in carney food to your heart's content. For the kids (in each of us), there is a ride area with enough spinning, dipping and diving to upset your stomach for a week. My advice, ride before you eat, or better yet, come twice, once to ride and another visit to eat. The food is what you expect from a greasy country joint. Burgers, Sausage, Franks, Pizza, Ice Cream, and Kettle Korn (my fave). There is usually a beer wagon around that pours out a local brew and leaves a wet trail of suds on the ground. Beware the drunken bees that congregate there. Man, would I love to have some of the Beer Honey that hive puts out! Yes, there are a fair share of Carney barkers and hucksters to enjoy with vigilance, and the local politicians trying hard to find votes by giving out balloons to kids. But, you can ignore that degradation and enjoy everything else. The place is crowded at night when the cooler air invites families to come out for a night of old fashioned entertainment. There is something special about a country fair at night. But, if you prefer to avoid the bigger crowds, arriving in the afternoon allows you a clearer view, and the ability to park and walk through the tents and sheds at an easy pace, when everyone who works there has more time to pay attention to you. Be sure to make time to come up here. The roads around it are jammed in the evening, so give yourself time to wait in line. If you know the roads, it is easier to approach from the north or west. Take out your GPS or paper maps and figure out how to do that. You could save yourself an hour of more in the queue. The Grange Fair is definitely a child memory maker, so be sure to start your kids early and allow them to carry on this wonderful All American tradition.

OMG ... FEST is the BEST!! DH is 7/8ths German and we've both lived in the area all our lives even…read moregoing to college in the city ... but we never heard of this ever. Just happened to catch it on the Saturday news and picked up our (drinking-aged son) to head over on Sunday. We arrived around 3pm (a few hours after noon opening) and there was no parking for blocks ... as their small lot was closed and only street parking was available. We circled around a bit and was lucky to find someone leaving in the next block. Entrance fee of $10pp ... then off to buy tickets for food/drinks walking past some vendors (yes, DH got an awesome fest t-shirt). Ticket booths at front and back sold $0.50 tix (all food/drinks need tickets, not cash) ... but we didn't realize (until we were leaving) that only the front booth also took credit cards. Each tix book has 20 tickets and costs $10 ... where they recommend 2 books per person to start and you can always get more later. With our tickets in hand, we got in line for beer and promptly discovered they sold out of the refillable liter mugs (which we all wanted to get with different beers). So, we opted for the pitcher of Schofferhofer (32 tix) as my family was nice enough to concede to my choice. We found a nice picnic table under the trees right behind the potato pancake stand and immediately got an order which came with 3 perfect pancakes (10 tix). Boy were they tasty ... we ended up taking 2 more orders home at the end of the day too! We also got the schnitzel and the bratwurst sandwich to share, where both came sauerkraut and potato salad ... all super yummy! The grounds are fairly large with plenty of space for the large number of people at seating near the front where we were, more pic tables along the perimeters, and also under the huge fest-styled rows of tables under the tent with live music. We continued our eating parade by getting hackbraten (meatloaf), bee sting cake, funnel cake, and a slushie (unfortunately non-alcoholic). What a wonderful day (even in the heat) and we plan to go back next year with as many friends as we can round up to drink beers and eat food with!

It was a life-changing experience in many good ways, and I also fell in love with good German beer and good German food. Over the years since there's been more 'internationalization' of American cuisine, such that now it's easy to find bratwursts in the grocery store and schnitzel on menus. It's 'americanized' though, which is typical. Same with beer, since my trip more 'brands' have become available, though nothing like the hyper-local beer I had, still decent and sometimes very good brews. I've known about the Volksfest for a few years now, however I didn't have the opportunity to go. This year not only did I have time, but dear fellow Yelper Jessica W as my Fest partner, and she was experienced too, so I had an idea what to expect. YESSSS! Understand, this is a BIG festival. We got there a couple hours after opening and parked about 2 blocks away, everything closer was completely full. It was a decent day though and the walk was nice, so no problem. There is an admission fee - $6, pretty cheap. The experience: Some very nice vendor stalls offering steins, shirts, pins, pint glasses, cookbooks, etc. They had a beer tent, featuring Warsteiner beers but also with others as well as wine. There was a tent featuring things like bratwurst, hot dogs, etc. Skip it, people. The real gem was the tent - near the rear of the festival - with German cuisine. Things like Leberkase, which I love, and authentic schnitzel. New to me and definitely one of my new favorites was Maultaschen, which is described as a German meat-filled ravioli, but really isn't, more of a layered flat-spatzle and savory meat roll, and it was *really* good. That with a lovely glass of Warsteiner Pils and I was in my happy food place. Seriously, people, skip the brat tent and head to this one. Yes, more expensive and totally completely worth it. We also got 'bee cake', which is a divine custard cake with almonds, moist but not falling apart, not overly sweet but yum. They had other very nice looking desserts like berry crumble and strudel. Also the ubiquitous funnel cake. We dined under a very large tent where there was alternately a German traditional music band and members of the Frankford String Band performing, there was a dance floor and people were getting up and cutting a rug. Lastly, for kids, there are some rides. Things to know: *Everything is cash-only. Buying food and beer involves first buying a coupon book that you then use to buy items. For example, 12 coupons for a 16 ounce beer. *They have an ATM inside their hall if you don't have cash. *There are regular bathrooms and port-a-potties. *The bar inside the club is also open, so you can enjoy beer and spirits in air conditioned comfort with stools and whatever sports game on their TVs. *There are nicer bathrooms near the bar. *Come hungry, and don't be afraid to Uber. The beer is awesome and the parking is difficult. :) YES of COURSE I'm going again. UYE 2019, anyone?

The good thing is the parking valet's were very prepared and courteous. Once inside, a lovely hostess showed us to our room. The room was a nice size. Everything was decorated beautifully. The staff was very friendly and attentive, so much so I went to take a picture of the cake during our lunch and it was already gone, cut up and beautifully plated. A Vanilla Cake and Fruit Pastry with Custard. Our bartender was sweet, kind, and very happy.My girlfriend's and I told him to go easy on the OJ and heavy on the champagne for a mimosa,and he laughed. He poured our drinks exactly the way we like them.It was much appreciated. To start us off they served a huge Charcuterie Board with crackers to start. Then we went on to a Caesar salad, which was very good. Fresh hot bread was placed on my table. There was a lovely dish on the table with butter that was shaped like a big rose. We were originally given several choices for our entree. I chose to have their Salmon.The salmon was delicious very flavorful butter sauce and it was a good size. It came with yellow rice and steamed fresh String beans. For dessert there was a beautiful cake, and a pastry fruit tart. Coffee and tea were served with it. The room itself was a comfy chair surrounded by all the lovely shower gifts. I would highly recommend having a bridal shower, birthday party, or affair here. They really did a lovely job.

Had our 40th wedding anniversary at Uptown Hall in 2025 and it more than met our expectations. Some…read morebasic hall rentals can be dated but this one was very good, especially the lighting options. It is run by a 501(c)3 charity and is owned by another 501(c)3 organization where the bookings are done by volunteers so there is no paid staff. They even let us hook our laptop to their 70" wall TV so we had pictures of our past lives & 40 year marriage all rotating on the big screen. Big kitchen and bar counter and buffet table met all of our needs and our caterer's needs.

I reached out to the company via website as requested on the site. The response took a few days. As soon as John responded to my email, I replied right away to agree on day and time to meet and possibly place a deposit but John did not respond to my emails nor was he at the site. No one ever answers the phone, it goes directly to VM and no one returned my phone call.
