My husband has been coming here for lunch and insisted I try it as well. Restaurant was clean, small storefront, about 5 tables to sit at. They have one of the serve yourself Coke machines with all the different soda flavors. My husband always gets the mixed meat doner box and loves it. I got a mixed meat wrap, and the Empanadas looked interesting, so we ordered 1 chicken and 1 beef. My wrap was very good, but I would have preferred less vegetables & red cabbage and more meat. The Empanadas were fresh out of the fryer, perfectly golden and crisp. The filling wasn't great. It was just mush. We couldn't tell the difference between the chicken and the beef and the only flavor it had was an overpowering spice blend. The staff is very nice and friendly, as was the owner. read more

I stopped in for lunch and this place was amazing! I've never had a kebab before, but this sandwich was made fresh and quickly at that. The combination of the mixed meats, sauces and bread were outstanding. Service was also great. Will be back for lunch for sure! read more

Welcome GDK to Centereach! This is newly open chain restaurant though not as big or well known as other chains. I'm happy that there are new restaurant options to try. Yes, they have a few locations in the city though I never tried them. I'm used to see the meat on a spit where the meat is shaved off while cooking. Didn't see it here though it could be in the back. I decided on the - doner gym box where it's meat and salad. The meat was a dry though I had it in a different place, the meat was juicy so not sure if it's the style here. Maybe I should have ordered a sauce but I never needed one before - waffle bread chocolate was also on the drier side. If you see my pictures, the chocolate wasn't spread across the bread and plenty of area without chocolate. For me, the pricing is a big high for the amount of food you receive though keep in mind, half the box is meat. Will need to try again when it's more established. Give it a try and see what you think. read more

So excited that GDK just opened up in Centereach, literally within walking distance from my house! We decided to check it out and it did not disappoint. You can order at the counter with a staff member or use their self-serve kiosks, which is super convenient. The menu has something for everyone: wraps, burgers, bowls, and yes, they have veggie options too We tried the chicken wrap and a veggie bowl, and both were really flavorful. I especially loved the garlic sauce.... so savory and the perfect finishing touch. I also appreciated that they include purple cabbage in the mix (a personal fave). I customized my bowl to skip the rice and stick with lettuce, and it was still super satisfying. The flaming fries were honestly so good and flavorful! Def recommend. The space is clean and modern, the food came out quick, and overall it was a great first visit. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! read more

The food is definitely made fresh you can watch them make it! Everyone inside is so nice and it's super clean and vibrant inside. If you're looking for something that's out of the usual wheelhouse this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Theres a lot of good healthy options for my calorie counters out there too! Came here on a Sunday night so perhaps a different day/time would have yielded a different experience. There is ample parking and the store is very bright. The ordering is done on a touchscreen kiosk and unfortunately, the store was out of some of the items we wanted to try but seemingly made no sense (why was the junior doner not available in chicken but the full size was?) Literally everything is extra (an extra dollar for pickles, an extra dollar for jalapenos, fifty cents for spice) and it escalated quickly to the point that I was ready to split because I didn't want to order a $30 combo my first time around. We settled on beef donor, chicken donor, chocolate waffle bread, and garlic waffle bread. The waffle bread itself is very unique and I enjoyed it. The meat was on the drier side albeit plentiful. The chocolate waffle bread was good - when you got the pieces that actually had chocolate. The chocolate was poorly distributed throughout. Same with the garlic bread. Overall, the food was meh and when you take into account the price it's probably a place I will not be returning to. read more

I've heard GDK was great in midtown so I was thrilled see one opened here near my job. I had someone pick up the recommended sandwich for me. It did not come with the 3 sauces as stated on the menu ! Not on the side nor on the sandwich. That was a huge mistake and a big letdown. I hope they improve their service read more

Nice little place. Floors are kinda dirty and all the tables were littered with employees looking at their phone upon ordering. Bathrooms good. Not busy at all. Easy kiosk to use. I'm big on cleaning and presentation. That is why my rating is not higher. Probably won't be back due to the cleaning thing....imagine what's not being done elsewhere. read more

So I call the following day and spoke with Sayid the owner. Could not have been nicer, explained that DoorDash handles online pickup orders and deliveries. Refunded the money for the missing food in no time at all. Then offers me a comp meal for my troubles. He didn't have to, and I didn't ask. He said if I stop in, to ask for him, which I did, today, because he was so kind on the phone I had to put a face to the voice. He was an absolute gentleman. He didn't have to come out from behind the counter and shake my hand but he did. Classy. Thanks! The comp sandwich was delicious as promised. read more

Food is very expensive and takes forever to be prepared. Very underwhelmed. Meat is usually dry and they charge extra for sauce which I always hate. The food is almost always pre-prepared so I don't understand why it takes over 20 minutes just for me to get my food. Came on the opening day and another time after that a few weeks later and saw it hasn't changed at all. Opening day was a mess as they let people come in who haven't been waiting and it took over a half hour to get my food. Never heard of them. Our son picked out the place to try. Little noisy, not much sitting. Different type of food, we got the mixed meat box, a chicken box and a mixed meat bowl. The box was filled with French fries. The beef was a white color. We also got the chocolate waffle. Don't recommend them they are a real thick chocolate batter. They didn't serve the chocolate syrup unless you ask for it. I can't say I don't recommend, but it wasn't for us. If you like this kind of food then it would be worth a try for you. read more

Great tasting everything, great spice, i love the crunch it has too! i went here on Friday their grand opening and got a free Jr Kebab. I asked for beef but got chicken but it was still very good. I will definitely come back (hopefully to try the beef) I hope this place does good, its a great location and something new. The workers inside were amazing too with great attitude!
