This place is pretty swanky for a Filipino restaurant. The decor is very nice and they even have a bar (a full bar, I'm guessing). I was really impressed upon walking in. I didn't eat much because I wasn't too hungry, but I liked what I tasted (with the exception of the nilaga, I didn't like the taste of that too much, although my brother's girlfriend loved it). The chicken skewers were awesome. I think if I was more hungry, I would've eaten the whole plate (we overestimated ourselves and ordered two plates). I also got the kid's meal for the sole purpose of the spaghetti, which only appeared on that part of the menu. For a kid's meal the portion was pretty big (who am I to complain?). My spaghetti came with fried chicken. I loved the way the chicken tasted. It had the right amount of salt and garlic. It's hard to describe, but it was really good...and fattening. The spaghetti was fairly tasty (sauce was meaty and had good flavor), BUT the noodles were overcooked. Overcooked noodles are a tragic thing. The dish would've tasted so much better had the noodles not been a problem for me. The mango smoothie complemented my meal, though. I ordered take out and asked for eggs on my sisig. Clearly said i wanted 2 orders of sisig with egg on top. I ended up getting it without eggs on it, and the waiters tried to play it off like it was mixed in the food. Finally one of them knew I wasn't stupid, and offered to take it back to put eggs on top. My boyfriend and I had lunch at Gerry's Grill on New Year's Day. This is one of his favorite Filipino restaurants to eat at. I remember we came here a couple of years ago on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day and on several other occasions, and I've always enjoyed the food here. We felt like ringing in the new year with a hearty lunch, so we ordered the Nilagang Bulalo (Beef Shank Soup), the Pancit Bihon (simmered thin rice noodles and sauteed mixed vegetables with shredded chicken), garlic rice and a flan dessert. To drink, my boyfriend had a beer and I had the coconut juice that came in a coconut. Everything tasted delicious! The restaurant was pretty busy while we were there, with many families eating here on New Year's Day. This is a very spacious restaurant with a bar area. The place is small and there isn't a lot of space between your table and the next. If you have a party bigger than 4 I suggest that you call ahead of time to make a reservation so you aren't stuck waiting outside for an hour. The hostess was polite and didn't seem even the least bit annoyed when we kept asking how much longer we had to wait for our table. If you are Filipino then you know that you can always find the best Filipino food at either A) your mom's house (or dad's house if he's the master chef) or B) a Filipino party (where a whole line of tables is set up in the back dedicated entirely to food). Maybe it's because I can get this food for free (see choices A and B above) or maybe it's because I really have had better Filipino food, but I wasn't really wowed by anything we ordered. Not to be taken in the wrong way, the food was pretty good but not AMAZEBALLS or anything of the sort. However, what was AMAAAAZING was their Sizzling Sisig. Woo Woo Woo, that stuff just makes me want to dance. If you had to try one Filipino dish in your entire life, this has got to be it. It's savory, crunchy, rich, fatty and just OMG good. 1 whole star for that Sisig. If I was invited to come here again with family, I'd probably just order one to myself. I'd probably have a heart attack right after, but it would be worth it. Pancit Palabok: pretty good sauce but it could have used more saltines. Also, I feel like the thinner noodles grab the sauce better. Bulalo: not as flavorful as I thought it would be. I mean it's marrow, the broth should be ridiculously rich, salty, beefy and make you feel really guilty. But it wasn't. Crispy Pata: Too Crispy...to the point some of the meat was very dry. I'm not sure if this place gets a long wait, but the parking in that plaza is a little slim. There's a lot of little stores to grab a snack while you wait. Service was horrible. They charged us twice for service and charged us for two cups of rice we asked for, but they never brought. The waiters hardly come around to see if everything is ok. The place is large and nicely decorated, the staff / servers are cool / helpful... in-fact 1 waitress took a shot with our group and also chewed the fat with us about life for some time and lastly the food is good - what more can you ask for in a place? I read some of the reviews below about small portions - but I'm 6'2 265 lbs, if this place can satisfy me then I'm sure it can probably satisfy you... just don't think you're getting Cheesecake or Claim Jumpers portions and you'll be fine. read more

I've always had a great experience at Gerry's Grill. The food is so good and delicious, I was recommended to come here after frequenting other Filipino restaurants around the area through a good Filipino friend of mine. The service and food quality as always been good. If you plan on coming here in a large group, don't shy away from wearing your thanksgiving pants to make room for the food; you will thank me later. As with most Filipino food and its high collection of fatty deliciousness, you may need to take a Tylenol after wards to clear any weird feelings in your chest. Decided to give this place a shot. We ordered chicken/pork adobo, si-sig, and pancit. The adobo and si-sig were delicious. The si-sig was good but was different from what I'm used to. It had a corned beef texture to it, which I wasn't too fond of and lacked the chewy cartilage crunch, Please note, I'm first gen. American born Filipino...so perhaps my taste buds aren't up to par. Today was my 5th visit to Gerry's Grill. My experiences have always been okay here, I've had better service and more attention at other places. Although I have always been seated quickly, and my orders always taken and entered right away. What made me decide to finally leave feedback on yelp is based on the taste of the food today. I've had the fried chicken here before, but today's batch was just beyond salty. The fries that came with it tasted like it was sitting under the light for a while, it didn't taste freshly fried. It wasn't even enjoyable. Today, along with my previous visits, it's so hard to flag someone down just to add to the order, get a refill, or even just to get the bill. The alcoholic drinks are good, I've had the Gerry's hard lemonade, it's very refreshing. But the drinks, along with the food on the menu, are priced a little on the high side. As far as the food goes the pork sisig everyone recommends was decent but I'm not too much of a pork sisig fan so I might be biased. The lumpia comes in 8 large rolls so is quite filling and decent with dipping sauce. The grill squid was pretty good as well. The crispy beef ribs were good, but not great. Did have the lechon taste to it. They have table tappers of beer as well which are decent. Spent 27 on bluemoon tapper which equates to 7-8 beers. Would go back again for sure but it's kinda pricey. Was also disappointed that their crab fried rice was unusually sticky. Gerry's is also becoming too crowded and very loud. Large groups are placed in the middle of the restaurant, and kids and teenagers are allowed to run around the place as if it were a public park. Large parties should be placed in a private section.
