I wanted my friends to experience several Filipino dishes kamayan style. The Boodle Fight was a hit! This fast food place offers a wider variety of options compared to other spots we usually visit, which is a nice plus. However, taste still matters most--some of the dishes were really good, while others could use a bit more flavor, especially seasoning. They also have desserts and snacks, though the selection isn't very extensive. The service was just okay. The girl who assisted us didn't seem very welcoming--she could definitely benefit from being more friendly and approachable, as it felt like she wasn't too interested in helping. I stopped by MJ's PINOY Fiesta and had a great quick visit! I grabbed some Turon to go and also tried a large Ginataang Bilo-Bilo for about $7.99. The ginataang bilo-bilo was SO good--super creamy, perfectly sweet, and really satisfying with all the different textures. Definitely hit the spot, especially if you love ube and coconut-based desserts. The turon was also delicious--crispy on the outside with that perfect caramelized sweetness. I do miss their all-you-can-eat buffet--I used to love coming here for that before COVID--but the quality is still there and worth it. I'll definitely be back for more desserts! read more

I must really say, the barbecue chicken was really good. This basically is barbecue chicken skewers without the labor of having to remove the skewers. Getting here at about 1030 in the morning they still had classic Filipino breakfast items available as well. Three meals did cost about $50. But, the portions are pretty large. I love MJ's Pinoy Fiesta. They have an incredible, wide selection of Filipino foods. The staff is kind and they helped describe some of the items I was interested in. Millennial Fil-Am here! We've been catering with MJ's for almost 10 years. Their sisig is "safe for millennials/unfamiliar" meaning they're not using head pieces lol but it's so so good. There's something SO good about their bistek. It's more savory than I've had. I also get a lot of compliments with their miki bihon! Super flavorful and my favorite part is how big their lumpia is! I love MJ's, and have gone to their location many times over, but this past July 4th, 2026, only a couple days ago, I got food poisoning, along with me and my family, and it is suspected it came from either eating Jollibee or MJ's. I'm a relatively healthy person and grew up with asthma/wheezing/a toughened stomach, so I'm able to avoid and be aware of intense food that triggers my stomach. I grew up in Carson and LB & the Filipino food was plenty but when I moved away I'm just craving it constantly. Everyone's friendly, and work diligently all day! I was dying for some hometown Filipino food. I found myself in Anaheim & the area seems to have quite a few pinoy restaurants. Most of the Filipino restaurants around me are fusion versions, not so much here. MJ's is very traditional & has quite large variety of main & side dish choices. I had the pork adobo, Bicol express & pancit. My son had pancit, kare kare & sisig. Of course we had steam rice with our meals. I got to try everything we ordered & it was so delicious & flavorful. Very satisfying. The Lechon looked so good! Don't feel intimidated by the number of choices. The counter staff is very helpful in describing dishes & pointing out favorites. I definitely want to try more on my next visit. There is a small area that sells Filipino food products & snacks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was fairly busy with tables to eat there. This is a restaurant located in a small plaza on Ball Rd; it's become my go to on Sundays. Gotta try the lumpia Shanghai, man. It's one of the best things I've ever eaten. I can't get tired of them. My mom always asks me to bring her some, even my picky nephew liked them! While I was recently visiting the family home in Buena Park, I got a craving for Filipino food. Two of my sisters also visiting thought Filipino food sounded good, so we headed here, intending to eat at the restaurant. Arriving at around 6:30pm on a Sunday, parking spaces were easy to find near the front entrance to the restaurant. The parking lot isn't that big, and it is shared by the little shopping center where MJ's Pinoy Fiesta is located. Everything in the restaurant is easy to see from the front doors - dining area that had long tables with chairs around them, the hot food area, and the two areas that have store items to select from. The three of us decided to make our orders to go, each of us ordering combos, with either rice or pancit and one entree. I ordered the beef stew (I forgot what it was called) with rice. My younger sister ordered pancit with chicken adobo, and my oldest sister ordered rice and oxtail ( I think). The portions that we each received were huge, and when we got back to the house we decided to share everything. The beef stew was so perfectly delicious and the beef chunks were so tender! I highly recommend this dish to everyone. Although the chicken adobo was good, it just wasn't quite the same flavor as the chicken adobo that my mom made while she was still alive, in that hers had a little bit more vinegar in it. The oxtail had really good flavor too! We got so much food between the three of us that we had lots of leftovers for us to eat for the next two days! Oh, and my younger sister also had picked out a large container of boiled peanuts from the store section in the restaurant. We all ate some of it that evening, but my two sisters loved the boiled peanuts so much that they ate the rest of them the next day. The service that we received from the employees was great! The employees answered all of our questions about the food, explaining in detail what the ingredients were if we asked specifically about any of the dishes. The food selection was great; they had a variety of choices. The customer service was decent; the staff somewhat rushes you for your order. One recommendation to the restaurant would be to advise the customers verbally that certain items are an added cost (IE beef, lechon, sisig, etc) and that if you use a credit card it is an additional 3.5%. Best sisig ever! I've had sisig at many other places but it was either too greasy or not enough crunch in the bite. At MJ's it's the right balance of oiliness and crunchiness. The chili peppers, garlic, and onions were diced at the right size adding superior flavor to the dish. The pork was crunchy and tender. I got a medium party try and it was a hit for my best friend's 40th bday and I am getting it for my 42nd bday.
