Exceptional menu! We had a huge table for family and this place was able to accommodate us all. We had platters after platters of Filipino food and we were all happy and full. Service was great too!

Great service, friendly staff and attentive. Huge selection of your traditional Filipino food. We ordered a platter which was enough for 3 - 4 ppl. We got to select and ordered inihaw na manok, chicken bbq, beef tapa and a side of inihaw na talong. Ambiance is very homey, good meal.

The Baseline: For Filipino fine dining, the food the flavors need to be authentic with the flavors of the Philippines , the portions have to be properly sized, the service must be great, and the restaurant must be comfortable and stylish. Food: The food is okay and has authentic Filipino flavors. The Crispy Pata is worth it but it is a big bunch-o-pork hit. The fresh lumpia was good and the eggplant was just grilled eggplant. The garlic rice is a must if you come here and get vinegar to break up the massive pork fat hit you will get dining here. Service: We got served and it was okay service. Ambiance: It is a nice strip mall restaurant with easy parking. The bathroom wasn't immaculate and that is the nicest way of saying that.

Togo 3 platters around $180 with fried rice, and additional white rice with tip. Easy to do to go. Enough for 15-20 people. Did not order in advance. 20 minute wait for Pick up. Friendly staff. The crispy platter and the make your own was delicious.

Great first visit! Salo-Salo is a Filipino eatery just down the street from Los Cerritos in a small strip mall. The parking lot is tiny and shared with other businesses. The disability spaces were taken so we put up our blue placard in a regular spot and the person next to us graciously left us plenty of room. There were two servers working on Wednesday. They were so welcoming, sweet, and attentive. They opened the door for us as I was wheeling my mom in and did the same when we exited. My mom got an eggplant dish that comes with either coffee or tea. She said Salo Salo's eggplant dish was way better than the competing last place she had it at. Filipino breakfast is a treat for me once in a while. I either choose pork tocino or pork longanisa w/a well-done scrambled egg. Wow! Loved the flavor of this dish! There was nothing I needed to add to it. I asked if brown rice was possible for the garlic rice but it was not. Also chose a raspberry iced tea that came with my plate. I saved half of my dish in a to go box so that my hubby could have it later. When I opened my portable cooler when I got home later, there was a nice aroma of the tocino! Although the restroom was fairly clean, I had to flag an employee for more paper towels. There 2 soap dispensers and the bottled one wasn't working. The restaurant office has a bunch of Dodger bobbleheads in the office window and my mom took a photo by them. She likes this restaurant a lot. Overall, our food was so delicious! I imagine on the weekends that their customers have to hunt for street parking since their lot is tiny. Will very likely return during the week sooner than later. Looking forward to trying their longanisa breakfast!

Salo-Salo Grill is one of our go-to places for Filipino food in the area. We usually order their pancit miki bihon, which everyone in our family enjoys. This last visit, we ordered their grilled meats platter, which had different types of meat (some more tender than others though). We also had their crispy pata, which was just okay. We ended the meal with leche flan, which was really good. This no-frills restaurant is good for families, as most dishes are served family-style. Service is friendly but sometimes can be a hit-or-miss, depending if they are busy or not. Parking is relatively easy as they have a large lot shared with other establishments in that complex.

I LOVE that SaloSalo serves ALL DAY BREAKFAST - Longanisa MY FAVE - not many Filipino restaurants offer that - especially during dinner time. PLUS the service / waiters are much friendlier and nicer there than similar places like Gerry's. The prices are also competitive (If not lower) than other restaurants here. I found my new favorite Pinoy restaurant!

Have been going here for years and can't believe I've forgotten to leave a review. This is my favorite Filipino spot in SoCal - the bangus, lumpia, the garlic fried rice, the pork adobo, everything just hits right. The waitstaff is fantastic, very attentive, refilling drinks before you even have to ask. Parking can be a bit challenging during the rush for lunch and dinner, but worth it.

This place is a staple classic in the Cerritos / Artesia area! If you're looking for Filipino food, Salo Salo will hit the spot. My girlfriend and I ordered the sizzling beefsteak Tagalog, adobo fried rice, lumpia Shanghai, sizzling sisig, and pancit guisado. All tasted very authentic and prepped well! I wanted to give my girlfriend a Filipino restaurant experience and this fufilled that. The beefsteak was a bit overcooked, but overall the dish tasted great. Lumpia was a bit dry on the inside but served fresh and hot. The pancit was actually our favorite thing we ordered - served hot and steamy with pancit noodles sauced down to perfection. Sisig was really vinigar-y but we love that so that was not an issue. The adobo fried rice I feel like could've been better but it wasn't bad! Been going to this place since I was a kid and it still hits the same. I would recommend giving it a try before judging it based on the star rating.

When craving for authentic Filipino food, Salo Salo is the place to go! It's at a nice corner lot with plenty of parking. Even though their menu was extensive, we only focused on their seafood dishes since it was Good Friday '26. We ordered the combo plates; the servings were huge! Our meal was delicious & tasty but we had no room for desserts. We will definitely go back & try their other dishes plus the sweets!

I will say the service was pretty fast, and the food was hot and fresh. I liked the lumpiang shanghai as it had the right meat to crop one's ratio. The Chop suey was fresh and sauce was made to perfection. The only thing I didn't like was the adobo fried rice. Just tasted like regular rice with soy sauce. Otherwise the ambiance is outdated but the food and service was great.

Combo platter with lechon kawali, bbq chicken, fish, and inihaw na talong + fresh coconut + kare kare

Authentic Filipino food, perfect for family style! I came in on a Tuesday noon, so there wasn't a lot of people dining in. I liked the interior of this restaurant, it was decorated with the essence of Filipino culture with the bamboo and beautiful mural. The servers were also nice too and accommodated me and my family well. I came with my aunt and uncle and we ordered the make your own platter with lechon kawali, chicken bbq, fish, and inihaw na talong. Everything was cooked well and super flavorful - it was delicious and filling! My favorite was the lechon kawali which was soft, crispy, and very flavorful. It was up to par with some I've had in the Philippines. I also loved the bagoong with the talong, a great combination. We also got the kare-kare which was great as well! I'm not normally a fan of kare-kare, but this one was great! The flavor wasn't too strong which I liked and the oxtail meal was nice and tender. I also loved the veggies that came with it. Lastly, the fresh coconut juice was yummy and refreshing! This one was actually fresh and I loved scooping the meat from the insides! This is a solid spot if you're in the area and looking for authentic Filipino food to share with a group!

The workers were friendly and the food took about 25min to be ready from the time that we ordered. I've only ever had to go from here but I am told that the portions are larger if you're dining in. We ordered sinigang and kare kare. Both came in a very large portion size and the two dishes were enough for 4-5 people. The flavors were good and they tasted even better the next day. They gave plenty of meat in both dishes. It was a good experience over all and I would like to dine in next time to get the full experience.

TLDR: It's an overpriced buffet for $25 given the options. If they'd drop the price to..... $20,…read morebut more realistically $23, it MIGHT be worth it. I also feel that the place would be better if they included all the staple Filipino breakfast items (Pandesal, Corned beef, Filipino hotdog, bangus). The taste is arguably 4 stars, but the price point drops the overall feeling to 3-3.5 stars. Food Tocino - It's fine. It tasted kind of store bought, but I think it's good enough to get a few times. Longganisa - It's just.... bad. They were trying to go for the sweet style longganisa, but it missed the spot completely. Beef Tapa - Probably the best option from the viands made available. It's the right blend of saltiness and sourness. The beef also had a good texture. Garlic Rice - I'm glad they didn't mess up one of the cornerstones of Filipino breakfast. It could've been better, but the general quality of the food here was already low enough that it made this one of the better items. Pancit Guisado - Dry, filled with starch filled lobster balls, and could generally use some more stuff in it. I regret getting this and should've eaten more garlic rice Fried Shrimp - I'm glad it's easy to peel, but the shrimp itself is generally flavorless. Egg - I was scared that these mass produced eggs may not have had a runny yolk, but I'm glad to see enough liquid to praise it Tokwa't baboy - The bronze medalist of the meal. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork belly is on the drier end, but it's small enough that it's not hard to eat. Nilaga - Good. Probably my favorite bite. It's seasoned well, the beef is soft, and there's a good amount of vegetables. Champorado - Decent. Shame that I didn't see the milk when I was getting it. Maybe they ran out, maybe they were refilling it as I was getting. Buko Pandan - Very good. Is it store bought? Maybe. It doesn't matter, still good. Service: You pay first before you're assigned a table. There are a lot of staff who are there to keep the tables clean and to mix the food every now and then to prevent the tray from drying out. Ambiance: Bright, spacious, and inviting. A very good place to have Sunday breakfast / brunch.

Wasted no time sampling the food as soon as it was served. There is only outdoor seating, so we had to chase some flies away while tasting everything. Each order had crispy skin and came with a side of sauce that was sweet and slightly sour. My favorite was definitely the Cebuchon. Such tender, savory meat! After driving +40 minutes, the skin still had a nice exterior. I do like how minimal their menu is - you can tell they are pork-oriented. I can definitely see myself visiting again or even ordering a catering tray for the holidays.
