The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because I can't give 0 stars! Don't EVER bring your car here for service! After writing my phone number down incorrectly, and not bothering to look me up in their system to double check, Gerweck waited 5 DAYS for me to call them and ask "whats going on with my car." If thats not bad enough, then they tell me "we couldn't diagnose your car and need to charge you $300 more to figure it out" ($450 total because they're mechanics are not properly qualified). This is double the standard hourly mechanic rate of $80 hour making the fact they couldn't diagnose it even more infuriating! The owner is cocky and completely unprofessional. He's your "used car salesmans" worst nightmare! He JC had the audacity to call me "condescending" after talking down to me. There are far better people to do business with in this great town! Why do business with entitled A Holes? ***UPDATE*** Within 5 minutes of writing this legitimate review (FREE SPEECH), I get a call from the Business owner yelling at me for the review I gave him! Where do I begin? How about "I just bought a new 2023 Nissan Pathfinder SL 4WD from Gerweck yesterday, and was super pleased with this purchase experience. " I still remember the first time I walked into this dealer's shop 7 years ago when I was looking for a 2016 Maxima, I told John that I had a very strict budget, and I would not pay a penny beyond the budget, but I want the car equipped with backup camera and moonroof. At the time Gerweck didn't have a 2016 Maxima with the specific features I was looking for within my budget, but John managed to get one from another Nissan dealer, not the 2016 model, but the 2017 Maxima SL model! I was overwhelmingly happy, and I became Gerweck's loyal customer since then. Over the years, I got my Maxima maintained, upgraded at Gerweck. Although I live in Toledo where the closest Nissan dealer is only 1.2 miles away from my house, I still came to Gerweck to get my car serviced, so I can meet my friends while I was waiting. Last year, my Maxima's front bumper cover was damaged by hitting debris on I-275 one day before my international flight. I managed to get my car to Gerweck, and left my car with John. John took good care of my car while I was away, and the car was ready when I back to the states. For this latest 2023 Nissan Pathfinder purchase, I really appreciate JC and AJ's patience. Because my wife gave me a strict budget to pay in full, but she didn't like the idea to get another Maxima because it's not a "family car", when I almost gave up the idea to change the car this year, JC suggested the financing would be a better option since many banks are offering high APY rates for saving account, I could've put the cash in the bank to generate some interest while get a low APR rate for car loan and loan interest could be balanced by the savings interest. After studying the Nissan financing options and high APY bank saving account options during the weekend, we ended to apply 36 mo w/ 0 APR car loan to take home the very last Pathfinder available at Gerweck. read more

What a nice experience we had at this three generation family-run business! Found a truck online as we considered a replacement to our 20 yr old Nissan Frontier. Called ahead and spoke to, as it turned out, the patriarch of the dealership, Mr. Gerweck himself. He answered all our questions and we decided to test drive so off we headed to Monroe. Mr. Gerweck in person couldn't have been nicer and it was a pleasure to meet and discuss the vehicle's history (which he knew in detail). His grandson actually sat down with us and discussed pricing and particulars. Like his grandfather, A.J. was super nice and easy to chat with. The truck we saw and drove was immaculate and in tip top shape. Even though we didn't do the deal (budget won out over desire) we definitely liked the Gerwerks and the way we treated! read more

We were initially greeted by a young salesman who happened to be the son of the manger/owner. He was very professional and kind but the owner (his father) who came later was very rude and had exceptionally poor manners. For example, I was clear from the beginning that we want to spend up to 12 k on a car, he sarcastically said "then you should save more money"! He said other impolite statements I never heard a salesman say before. I have dealt with many car dealers in my life and owned many cars but have never met anybody so unprofessional and provided such a poor customer service before! I have had the opportunity to work the great folks at Gerweck Nissan many times over the past few years. I've purchased three used vehicles from them and I get my vehicle serviced through them. Not only are John and JC a pleasure to work with on the sales side, Diane in their service department is absolutely wonderful. Diane really goes above and beyond when they're working on your car. On my most recent visit she took me under my car to show me exactly where and what my problem was, provided me with diagrams of the parts which were needed, gave me an accurate quote on time and costs and even provided me with a loaner so I could continue to get business done while my car was out of commission. They did not do follow through with their end of the paperwork when I traded in my lease. The original lease was in my husbands name and they sent my husband a bill. They entered the address in wrong and we did not receive the incentives for releasing. My husband received a $1,500.00 bill and they refused to help. They lied to me, I went there 3 times and they said they figured out the problem and would take care of. When we eventually called Nissan they never called once to try and remedy the problem. I call and they won't return my calls. They are thieves and criminals that do not do what they say. Go anywhere else!!!! read more

Went into Gerweck to just look. My wife and I were in the early buying stages as this was our first stop. My wife had previously been here a while back and bought a car. She raved about the service so we decided to drive from Detroit down to Monroe. We met with JC and he did not disappoint. His style matched right up with the way I like it. No back and forth, no gimmicks, no games and we walked out with a brand new car! He handled everything with grace and class. The team even went above and beyond to show my wife each feature of the car and even helped sync her phone to the car. WHO DOES THAT!? Haven't seen anything like over the years, I have bought cars. Let me begin by saying I have had my fair share of car buying experiences. This one has been by far the most pleasant and painless experience my family and I have ever experienced. My son was home on leave from the military and wanted to purchase his first vehicle. We stated what our price range was and what he was looking for. They had plenty of options for him and worked well within his budget. The only concern we had was that the plates would not be in before he left. They made sure they were. We looked at a new vehicle for ourselves. This is where they truly went above and beyond. We explained our situation (mind you we had gone to another local dealership just months earlier and they just wanted to make a sale and didn't listen to what we wanted) they explained what they would try to do for us to make the deal happen and asked us what our concerns/request were. Within 24 hours they had our approval and made a deal happen that the other dealership could be bothered with. I have never had the pleasure of encountering a more professional group of individuals than I have at Gerweck Nissan. She works very closely with their technicians and the customer and explains what needs to be done so the customer understands all options.
