Wanting a second opinion and feeling something was off (way off) i found A1 Auto on Monroe and Friends and brought it in. The tech came out with a odd look on his face and said "I don't know why that other shop wanted to replace the entire rack n pinion, we can only find a leaking power steering pump. At best it might just need some new hoses. At worst it needs a $500 pump and that's it!!" First time visiting this shop and they've saved me several thousand dollars already. The tire had apparently been improperly torqued when recently replaced by an Indiana tire store. I had the car towed to Belle Tire that evening and they worked on it the next morning. One of the wheel studs was broken off and had to be replaced. Because of an unusual size they had trouble finding a replacement. They ordered and tried four different studs before finding the correct size. Mike, the manager, and his staff were very friendly and went over above to complete the repair.
