Located in a huge plaza in Smyrna, Doc Green's is a salad lovers dream. I can't believe this was my first visit! The restaurant itself is narrow but long, offering plenty of seating in the back of the place, as well as the entryway. Doc Green's is actually paired with another restaurant it seems, but I was focused on the salad. They have some recommended combos but you can also create your own with a wide array of toppings. I was in heaven looking at all of the fresh veggies, proteins and dressings available. I decided to create my own and just went wild. I was super bummed because I ended up forgetting some favorites (like avocado) because I didn't see/notice them on the cold bar. I chose my dressings, had it mixed up and then checked out. I opted for a fountain drink and unfortunately, the lemonade was toooooo sweet. But that was the only downside because my salad was wonderful!! Everything was fresh, the portions were generous and I felt like I got my money's worth. I'm always in the Akers Mill plaza buying things I don't need so I can't wait to grab another salad at Doc Green's when I'm in the neighborhood!

Very little veggies, 1/2 a brussel sprout (no exaggeration) and the steak was charred and tasted so. Somehow the sauce must have been added to the bowl first as the rice was dry and white until I stirred - it was much needed for flavor and was the only thing that tasted as it should in the entire bowl...just odd to dig to find it. My salad was okay. I wish i had thought to tell them i needed more than one dressing though because my salad ended up being dry. Another something that is typically solved with a person prepping your order in front of you. It's okay, i get it especially if you have staffing shortages. I may return, we'll see.
