Yes it's not much money to have to pay, but the bowl was $14 and not prepared correctly in the first place. My bowl was fine, but for $14 I would've hoped for more quantity of toppings. Do you ever walk into a business and recognize, quite quickly, that the focus is not customer service or experience but quite obviously and how to squeeze the most money out of the patrons while providing the least in terms of service and product? That is what we experienced at Pokeworks. Serving sizes for toppings were laughable, several ingredients and drinks were out of stock, as well. I was told $7.95 for a kids' bowl and was up charged $3 at the register for ahi tuna (not disclosed at the time of ordering.) My 6 year old daughter's bowl was extremely spicy for her palate (even I noticed the heat, and I can tolerate spices quite well) and when I asked the staff why her bowl was spicy (I suspect it was a mixup with sauces) there were completely unwilling to help. I would have ordered and paid for a different bowl if they could only help me understand what ingredients we needed to avoid. A sad experience overall and an establishment I don't recommend. read more

This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite. The sushi burritos are such a clever way to get tons of fresh proteins and vegetables into a handy wrap-style food item (rice bowls and salad greens also available). The serving size here is enough that I walk away hungry without feeling overstuffed, but I appreciate the addition of add-ons such as a spam musubi (the only place around this area of Atlanta that seems to have these!), mango haupia desserts, Hawaiian potato chips, and miso soup. A few things I love about this place - all entrees are made to order, and the servers are always amicable about adjustments like asking for a wee bit more wasabi or polite asks like "Just a little more sesame seeds, please." The sauces here are excellent (my go to is the Sriracha aioli), and they automatically prepare an extra 1-oz container of extra sauce in anticipation of those who might need just a tad more. The service has always been timely and I've never wanted for seating while dining in. It seems like there's a frequent turnover of help, so there were times when I had to step in with instructions of amounts (like the time a young woman nearly added a glop of wasabi onto my burrito), but everyone has always been eager to rectify any errors and/or bring in other team members to help with tricky orders. read more

Disgusting. I ordered for a quick lunch. What I received was inedible- the chicken had been brined in thick black sauce- disgusting and inedible. The macaroni tasted rancid. I called back once I realized the food was inedible. Initially they did not answer the phone. I called back and Ana picked up - I explained the situation and she told me that they weren't able to do anything- no refund- no meal replacement- nothing. I let her know I had not eaten the food other than a bite of the chicken and a taste of the macaroni. As you can see in the pic, the plate is full. I asked for the manager- no manager on duty, she would not give me the manager or owners name nor an email to contact them. While in the area I needed a bite to eat but wanted something that would not completely ruin my diet yet be tasty. Thanks to the excellent Yelp reviews I decided to try Pokeworks. I never noticed this restaurant before because it's across the street from a huge shopping center full of restaurants. It was a Saturday evening and parking was easy there was a spot right in front of the place but during busy hours due to the many other stores on the strip I can imagine parking possibly being a challenge. Upon walking in I was greated by a gregarious staff member. The restaurant was quaint and cute. There were several tables available for dine in and they also had a bar against the window for dining as well. I decided on the Sweet and Crispy Shrimp bowl mainly because my husband does not eat Poke and I wanted to share my meal with him. My base was the mixed greens and I added lots of fresh veggies, seaweed salad and wonton crisps. Can someone say Delicious! The glaze over the shrimp was tasty and not overwhelming. All of the veggies were fresh and the seaweed salad was a true hit. The restaurant was very clean and customer service was outstanding. I look forward to my next visit so I can try the Poke and Salmon. read more

I have been here a few times and it's been great. Fast good service. I love all the options they have to choose from. My most recent visit was my least favorite. My poke bowl was literally drowning in sauce. Way too much to the point I couldn't enjoy it and just tossed it. Salmon servings were smaller than normal and the spicy salmon got lost in sauce. Came here for lunch on a misty day! Usually bouquet is not my first choice because I really love sushi. And something about the sushi, being separated, and me having to actually eat the fish on its own and sometimes makes me cringe but today I decided to try something out of my comfort zone! And I'm so glad I did. This restaurant is situated near the Cobb galleria, near Cumberland. When I walked into the restaurant, everyone there greeted me so warmly I knew I wanted to eat there immediately. The menu is really easy to read. There are six fixed menu options, or you can do a make your own bowl. The Choices that have two proteins are under $15 and if you choose to go up to 3proteins, it's just another dollar and change! I decided to do my own bowl because I actually hate reading menus hehehe . I'm so glad I came in the beginning of the day, around 1 PM, because everything was still very fresh and I'm not sure if this even speaks to the reputation of the restaurant because according to the reviews if you eat in everything is really fresh regardless of the time! Anyway, I ended up getting Double spicy Ahi tuna and spicy salmon. I got a variety of toppings along with white rice as my base. They had things like seaweed salad, cucumbers, kale, corn, spicy, furikake- if you're thinking about it on a Poké bowl, they probably have it. I really loved that. They had these Hawaiian aloha juices! The last time I had that was when I was in Kona, and I was so happy because they had Lilikoi Passion fruit . My total for my build your own bowl and the drink came out to about $22. We went at 6:00 on a Friday night. Staff was wearing masks and gloves. We got the regular Umami Ahi bowl and the regular Spicy Ahi bowl (with half spicy tuna, half salmon). The ingredients were fresh and colorful and looked great in the bowl. I definitely think the fish is the way to go here. The container of chicken just didn't look appetizing. Small bowls (1 scoop of protein) are $8.95, regular bowls (2 scoops of protein) are $10.95, and large bowls (3 scoops of protein) are $13.50. Prices are pretty fair and portions are generous. I like that you can order a signature bowl but still customize it at no extra charge. There are some ingredients that do cost extra, but they're very transparent about it. The short: I loved it! The longer: it is a small place, looks like it does mostly to go stuff. You do have to walk all the way down to start and then you end closer to the door so I was very glad I was the only one there. It is like Subway or Chipotle where you say what you want as you go down the counter. You can pick a preset bowl if you are worried about making a good combination. I almost did that but decided to be adventurous. So glad I was. I got white rice, salmon and tuna, cucumber, seaweed, classic sauce (medium), avocado, surimi salad, masago, and onion crisps. It was awesome! The only thing I would change next time is getting double surimi salad and going heavy on the sauce. I will be dreaming of this bowl until I can go back and get another one. I chose brown rice as my base which I was excited to have as a choice. I had fun choosing different toppings that I thought would pair well with each other. Great place if you're looking for poke bowls in the Vinings area. The bowls are about $11, which is just a bit more expensive than other poke places around, but they make up for it with their menu size and available toppings and sauces. There is a hand sanitizing area right at the door and employees are diligent mask wearers. The signs on the floor are a little confusing about where the line starts, but the employees will direct you. I got a half salmon, half tuna bowl with their kale noodles (I hate the taste of kale but I loved these noodles!) and homemade spicy Mayo sauce. The bowls were pretty fresh and the Mayo was unique, but very good. The drink station was also a huge plus. There were lots of soda options including a hibiscus drink and a berry lemon drink. Pokeworks is a chain, so like most chains, the food is predictable and I have no issues with it. Customer service has always been fine, but there's an odd draft over most of the tables when dining in. My biggest complaint is that I've been here twice in the past two weeks, and for some reason they only have Cola, Diet Cola, and Root Beer. 5 out of the 8 fountain soda options are out of service, and their iced tea's been down for quite a while. I don't know why that is. If you're just getting this to go, it's a 5 star. For me, it's still pretty darn good. read more

The restaurant is in a strip-mall with a ton of other shops so getting a spot right in front is difficult. The food is fresh, and the staff is super nice. They did seem a bit overwhelmed with online/phone orders so it took a few minutes to get to us. Once they did, we were able to select what we wanted in our bowls, Chipotle-style, to create a masterpiece! My only concern is that oranges and pineapple are kept in containers next to each other, and as someone who is allergic to oranges and loves pineapples, I got pineapple in my bowl that tasted more like orange. read more

My son is disabled. He has a handicap that isn't visible and they REFUSED to let him use their restroom. The previous manager on duty said the restrooms work just fine and let him go two weeks ago (when the restrooms were supposedly out of order) and again three days ago. The restrooms worked just fine and that manager understood the laws as they relate to the handicap. The owner, Victoria, was upset because I told her he would have an accident on the floor if he couldn't get to a restroom in time. She said I was threatening to have him pee on the floor and threatened to call security. I am literally speechless!!!! Update in response to owners comments: We came to your restaurant to order lunch. Why in the world would we be there if we weren't customers? I have been there three times in the last week. When we walked in the door I told your employee my disabled son was in a bit of an emergency situation. So no...at that point I had not ordered our lunch. I was trying to help my son before he had an accident. The fact you would insinuate that I only ordered food to make you look bad is bizarre. I have the Pokeworks app. I love the food and the rest of your staff is great. In fact, I am attaching screenshots of the last three transactions I made at your store. Like I said earlier this was my THIRD visit in a week. Somehow you think I just randomly drove to your business and chose to come in and try to intimidate you into letting my disabled son use your bathroom. Actually, I came there to order lunch. I had a lot to say because I was upset that you were telling me your bathroom had been out of order for two months and I knew this to be a lie! Being the parent of a special needs child can be a challenge but not because of my son....because of people who can't understand that some people just need a little bit of extra help. You admitted at the end that your bathroom isn't open to the public anymore because you don't have the staff to clean it on a regular basis. And I get it!! I don't blame you for closing it. But this was a different situation from the average person walking in without special needs. Your employees all know your bathroom works fine. One of them even mouthed the words, "I'm sorry," to me as you were yelling at me. To that employee I say thank you for showing kindness in that moment. I am speechless because in the 11 years my son has been alive we have NEVER been treated the way you treated us today. He was scared and worried and you did not care. My expectations were surpasses by this little poke place. They have every poke bowl you could want and more. There are options for kale noodles, burritos, brown rice, white rice as bases and a whole array of proteins (from vegan to sushi to chicken and probably more that I didn't see. I got the crispy chicken that was cooked on the spot in the air fryer so it was super healthy. Also forgot how much I liked edamame beans! My husband went for a more typical sushi bowl that I tried. I liked it too. We shared a ginger beer but there was also a soda machine for drinks. I mostly prefer water any way. Great place! Anytime I come into this location, the spicy tuna and salmon are never prepared, and the employees give minimal effort to prepare it every time I ask for it. If a restaurant closes at 10, they should not assume customers tag come in 30 min before close only want what's available or half prepared ingredients. It's messes up the bowl. Pokeworks is in a small and busy strip mall. All the businesses share a free parking lot, and it looks like there should be enough spaces for all customers of every business. This Pokeworks is a small restaurant that allows dining indoors. There are 7 or 8 tables inside, with a few more tables outside. Employees wear face masks and gloves. Hand sanitizer is provided for customers' use. During my visit here, there were at least two tables that customers ate at and then left, but I didn't see any employees sanitizing or cleaning those tables afterward before other customers sat down at them. Floor signage instruct customers where to stand while they're in line. In order to start their order, customers have to walk past the dining area and keep on walking all the way to the back of the store. That's where R and I were warmly greeted by Michella (I hope I spelled her name correctly). R and I had a few questions, and Michella helpfully answered them. She was professional and patient. R and I were the only ones in line at the time, so we took a few minutes to look at the big menu up on the wall. There are so many options, with so many toppings, mix-ins and sauces, many of which I've never seen at a poke restaurant. Michella explained the process and gave us a few tips/suggestions. R ordered the Signature Yuzu Ponzu Salmon with added orange slices and Serrano peppers. While Michella was putting R's bowl together, I looked at the male employee behind the counter who wasn't doing anything at the time and told him that I'd like to build my own bowl. The employee pointed at Michella and said, "She'll take your order," with no explanation. I thought that was odd, but whatever ... After Michella was done with R's bowl, she asked what she could get for me, and I told her that I wanted to build a bowl with white rice, salmon, ahi tuna and spicy tuna. I added tofu, wonton crisps, cilantro, edamame, cucumber, hijiki seaweed, sweet onions, fresh ponzu sauce, spicy ginger sauce, avocado, surimi salad, massage, pickled ginger, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, spicy furikake and shredded nori. OMG, that's a lot of food! I took the trays with the bowls and empty cups to R, and we both sat on the high barstools at the long table, facing out the big windows. As we ate, we both commented on how much food we both got, and that the fish was good quality, tasty and perfect. We both did not care for the white rice at all, though. Although the rice was fully cooked, it was an awful pasty, sticky mushy mess; very clumpy and wet instead of being fluffy. And it wasn't the sauces that made the rice clumpy, either. Everything other than the rice was delicious. I remembered while I was eating that I left something at the food counter, so I went to the counter before I forgot about it. The male employee was at the cash register, not doing anything except for standing there, and he was the closest to me, so I asked him about the bag I was here to pick up. He pointed to Michella and told me that she would be able to help me, and just left it at that with no other explanation. It was very obvious that, at the time, Michella was busy making poke bowls for other customers, and I wasn't ready to leave yet, so I just left the unhelpful employee standing there and went back to finishing my meal. I took a sip of my ice tea, which had a good flavor, and noticed that the cup was leaking from the bottom. I took my cup to the food counter. Yep, the unhelpful one was there. I told him my cup was leaking and asked him for an empty cup. *Wait, did you just roll your eyes at me?* Unhelpful employee hesitated, then picked up an empty cup from the stack at the register, grabbed my cup and placed my cup into the empty one and gave it back to me wordlessly. This was not the way to resolve this. Reason: The leaking cup was already sitting on the table, cleanliness of the tea was compromised. Putting the leaking cup in another cup still allowed the tea to flow through the hole. If I drank all of the tea, at the very end, the tea would've been flowing back into the original leaking cup. Basically, I'd be drinking tea that touched the bottom of my first cup. Anyhow ... After I was done with my meal, I finally got the bag from a third employee that I hadn't seen before. Delicious and generous amount of food, and Michella was so helpful! The other employee, not helpful at all. Tried this place for the first time last week and honestly, I was missing out. I was on the go so I ordered through their app, which by the way 5$ off on your first order! I made my own bowl with ahi tuna, samon, half rice and half salad. The ponzu sauce and the sriracha aioli definitely added to the extra yum. My order was ready for me, and all the staff was wearing masks and adhering to social distancing. This was by far one of the best poke bowls I have ever had. The portion was really filling and the fish was fresh. I am so glad this place is close to home so I can have a healthy meal on the go. I've tried over 10 pokè spots in Greater Atlanta Metropolitan and this is similar to pokè Hawaiian spots in Las Vegas which have a large Hawaiian immigrant population and are my go-to spots when in Vegas. Atlanta pokè scene is fairly new and there is currently no similarities among them. The only common theme would be, if your protein (fish, tofu etc) is mixed with a flavor/sauce separately and then added to the bowl, or just added on top. Pokéworks allows you to pick your protein and they mix it with sauce before creating your bowl. Another cool thing (Keto Friendly) is they have Kale Noodles as a base! This is my third time so far and just improvising on there Signature Works bowl they already have in the menu. My favorite sauce here is the Serrano Aioli (super spacey) but it's good! read more

Pokeworks is new and thanks to yelp, I was able to check them out this past weekend. When I visit on a Sunday midafternoon, I met Victoria, and she was super friendly and helpful in terms of what kind of protein is popular at Pokeworks (Shrimp for cooked and Tuna/Spicy Tuna for sashimi). I opt for a make my own bowl even though they had make your own and specific bowl to choose from. For poke, I usually like salmon/spicy tuna/tuna. That day, I had mixture of salmon and spicy tuna. For the sauces, Victoria said that their spicy aioli is similar to other poke place but have different taste since it's their own recipe. Victoria also told me that Pokeworks is a franchise and this is their second location in Georgia. The other one is in Peachtree corners. I'll stop by one day if I'm in the area. After picking out my bowl, Victoria also recommend me to try a specialty drink. I choose Bundaberg Ginger Beer drink and Victoria affirm that there's no alcohol. Verdict: I like Pokeworks. The poke was fresh and their sauces is unique. I would like to try something else beside the spicy aioli though. I also saw that they have Spam Musubi on the menu, and so I wanna try that.
