Bow lab is one of my favorite spots to pick up food after running my errands. It's small but cute and clean space. The food is always fresh and so many options to choose from. I'm loving the Soul of Seoul (tuna and salmon bowl) right now but Hotlanta is one of my favorites. Easy parking and free. Oh and staff are nice. They are very helpful if you're having trouble selecting a meal.

THE BEST place for a poke bowl, they do not play with their toppings and the portion sizes are the best I've had in Atlanta! It tastes amazing and the service is great.

Confession time: I don't like poke bowls. If you're like me, the word 'poke' makes you think of raw fish, and perhaps the thought of raw fish evokes some queasy feelings. I get it; I'm right there with you. But I hope you won't let that keep you from trying Bowl Lab. Non-fish eaters will be happy to find out they've added gyudon beef, tofu, cooked shrimp, and chicken to the menu of protein offerings. Besides proteins, there's a lot of other customizations available, from the rice/salad base, to the mix-ins and sauces. My compunctions with my meals here have been few but notable. First, there seems to be a limit to the number of crunch toppings (e.g. onion crisps, fried garlic, rice puffs, furikake, etc.) that you can add atop your bowl. I'm a big fan of contrasting textures in my meal, so I've often wished I could add more than the maximum of two tiny spoonfuls. My other drawback is sheerly a me-opinion. There's plenty of sauces available, but I've yet to find one that hits just right for me. Some are muted, others are overpowering. My personal favorite is a spicy mayo, which most poke bowl joints seem to have, but Bowl Lab is surprisingly without. Since the sauce comprises such a significant part of the meal's resulting flavor, I've sometimes brought my own Sriracha mayo to the restaurant to ensure I'll have a happy meal. All that said, everything is always incredibly fresh. There's never any fishy smell - in the restaurant or in our bowl - and we often leave feeling satisfied with the serving size. Service here has always been quick, efficient, and polite. There's a limited number of tables and stool seating against the windows, but it's often pretty quiet in here and we've never struggled to find seats.

Bowl Lab is my favorite poke spot in the area! It is located in Vinings, next to Cafe Comma. It is really nice inside, and they have a good amount of seating. I appreciate that there is a free parking deck, as well as a few short term spots out front. The first time I went, I wasn't sure what to get, and the staff was really helpful to help me decide. I got the sunny salmon bowl, which is so tasty and definitely my favorite! I love the pineapple in that one, as well as the crab salad and shrimp that are added to it! You can also build your own bowl, which is always fun. The ingredients are always fresh. The pricing is good. A regular bowl is $10.85, a large is $12.95, and and x-large is $14.95. Definitely check it out if you haven't been!

First time trying a Poke bowl establishment and I am in love! I was looking for something semi healthy yet filling for opt and decided to try somewhere outside my normal "greens and grains" type joint. Upon walking in, I see that this is a very popular place as the staff cranked out numerous in person and online orders. Despite being busy, the staff answered any questions I had as a poke newbie and helped me create a delicious bowl

I absolutely love this place! I come here about twice a month! The bowl is very delicious and filling!

Unfortunately, there aren't enough fast food joints with a focus on fresh salads but lucky for me, Doc Green's was right on my pathway for the day. Located in a huge plaza in Smyrna, Doc Green's is a salad lovers dream. I can't believe this was my first visit! The restaurant itself is narrow but long, offering plenty of seating in the back of the place, as well as the entryway. Doc Green's is actually paired with another restaurant it seems, but I was focused on the salad. They have some recommended combos but you can also create your own with a wide array of toppings. I was in heaven looking at all of the fresh veggies, proteins and dressings available. I decided to create my own and just went wild. I was super bummed because I ended up forgetting some favorites (like avocado) because I didn't see/notice them on the cold bar. I chose my dressings, had it mixed up and then checked out. I opted for a fountain drink and unfortunately, the lemonade was toooooo sweet. But that was the only downside because my salad was wonderful!! Everything was fresh, the portions were generous and I felt like I got my money's worth. I'm always in the Akers Mill plaza buying things I don't need so I can't wait to grab another salad at Doc Green's when I'm in the neighborhood!

I have hesitated for months to write this review because there is always a line and I didn't want to encourage anyone to get in front of me but...to be fair, they deserve a great review. First, the chicken is amazing, the salsas and tortillas are amazing and they have Dos Equis Amber on draft. What's not to like. They have open comfortable seating inside and a huge outdoor garden as well. I have ordered a lot of their smoked, wood fired rotisserie chicken. I've also ordered several different tacos. My recommendation is always order more than you can eat. The leftovers are great. I throw some chicken, cheddar and their ranchero sauce on a tortilla and eat every bit of their leftover chicken. You order at a counter but that's fine. You get your food faster. They have a great system and the staff are great. Again, what's not to like?

I ordered the Loco Moco, and it definitely hit the spot--rice topped with hamburger patties, plenty of brown gravy, and fried eggs. Once those runny yolks mix with the gravy and rice, that's pure local-style comfort food. The macaroni salad was creamy and exactly what you want alongside a plate lunch. I also grabbed a Spam musubi, another simple Hawaii staple that immediately brings back memories--Spam, rice, nori, and that familiar sweet-and-salty combination. I probably judge Hawaiian plate lunches a little differently than someone experiencing them for the first time. This visit gave me some of those familiar flavors I was looking for.
