Got an unbelievable realistic mountain tattoo from Jesus. Very professional and not intimidating. Everyone in the shop is very friendly. Jesus' tattooing skills are remarkable. The tattoo barley hurt and healed without any scabbing or itching. This was my second tattoo and the tattooing experience and healing process was much more enjoyable and less painful, even though my first tattoo is 10 times smaller. I have been a regular customer of get ink and was always a pleasure to come in but my last couple appointments these years were not pleasant, I've had the pleasure of having work done with Alex who is a phenomenal artist but in the last years I see he has become inpatient with the time to put in listening or putting my envision of the art together with his expertise, I felt rushed and he was very annoyed and did not listen to what I wanted but what he wanted, he has become very over priced so be prepared to spend $$. Absolutely amazing! Kelvin has done 3 of my 4 tattoos & I could not be any happier. One was a cover up, a much regretted tattoo that he covered with a portrait. I have had it for over a year now & I still have at least one person on a daily basis stop me & compliment on how detailed it & that it's "the best portrait they've seen." He also did a very large addition on an existing piece. I highly recommend him, he was great! He helped create my pieces & I love them! 2 of the 3 took a few hours to complete & Kelvin was great at making you feel comfortable & distracted while being tattooed. The scheduling has been great, all the artists are very friendly, it's clean & overall a great establishment! Alex has amazing work and skill, unless you're Black. We (my fiance and I) walked in for a consult and he did not want to even consider working with me and helping to create a vision I had for a half sleeve. He informed me that he would not help to design anything and I had to come in with a full design of what I wanted. As a tattoo artist I felt like this is a part of his job- to help your client design a great price of art. We were told to come back with a complete idea of what I wanted and then we would be able to book an appointment. I did not initially think of it as a racial thing until I spoke to several other people and found that they had the same experience, yet I have other non Black/Spanish friends who walked in and had him freestyle or design an entire piece based on just their idea. I found his business as discriminatory and would not recommend him despite having a great talent. read more
