Update: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, i haven't been back in till today and i was extremely nervous about it. It all went away as soon we came in. They seemed so happy to see us and greeted us like old friends. Checked everyone's temperature and continued their covid cleaning procedure/ social distancing the entire time. Preface: I am generally very picky and I never had to say anything to anyone that works there. They are all awesome. And trust me - I will open my mouth if I needed to. Availability: I am able to text or call for appts if needed. Always make an appt as they are usually booked. Service: The service is always amazing and I am always happy with the end result. Biggest PRO: They actually know what they are doing compared to a lot of other places that I've been to. Small and really only Con: (if this bothers you): Honestly, the only thing I could really say would be the 'ambiance' if you will, but I'm going to get my nails and toes done. Their work is slightly above average, but the tipping system is completely wrong. If you don't have cash, they automatically charge 20% tip on your card, which I find very unfair. Also, they advertise discounts outside the salon, but when you go in, they tell you it's only for returning customers. On top of that, I called them before going to ask for the price, but when I got there, they told me a completely different price. This was our first visit to In nail&spa. Overall we were very happy with our visit, but be prepared to wait, even with a reservation. There were only 3 staff when we arrived, but other customers present, so definitely not enough staff to get one on one treatment. The reason we chose this spa was for their promotion of nail art. Mom wanted Disney nails for our big trip and 5 stars for the art - beautiful nails that were recreated from a picture. Four stars because of the treatment menu - most spas now use the packaged treatments, but this spa took supplies out of big jars and you just didn't get the essence of the treatment "flavor". I like the packaged treatments because the supplies are fresh and not communal. We might return? Especially if we need nail art, but I might try another place next time. read more

I have been coming here on & off for about 2 years. Definitely less because of Covid. But after today's visit - I was completely appalled at the level of service today. I called yesterday (Sunday) to see if they could accommodate me on Sunday and they made me aware that they would be closing at 2:30PM. No problem. I didn't want to do that to them. I asked if they could accommodate me Monday. The owner offered 10AM. I arrived today at 10AM and I am greeted by one of the staff members to check my temp. And the first thing out of their mouth was to say, "Wow you look tired".... Wow what a way to greet a client. The rest of the mail session was fine UNTIL I had asked the mail tech to please file down the shape more because it was too thick. She explained she wasn't done filing. I apologized for assuming. Then she asked me to check if it was fine for my liking. When I told her to please file down a few nails - she seemed annoyed and started to give me excuses. I cut her off because at this point; as a paying customer - please just do what I am asking for. I told her to just forget about it & to please continue. Then she decided to change her tune & file down the nails I asked because she saw I was getting annoyed & irked. It shouldn't take a customer to get annoyed & irked for what they asked for to happen. It came to time to paint my nails... I picked a UV gel color & and I asked if I can get only half of the nails painting. No fancy design. I just a diagonal painted color across each nail. She told me $15 up-charge because it's considered a design. So you're me $1.50 per nail because I wanted it half painted. I can completely understand this up-charge if I had wanted some fancy design with rhinestones. Not once did the owner intervene to mediate the situation at all. My nails honestly look horrible. They look like they have no shape and they look like a block. This place has no listed price point to refer to in their store. So pricing is never consistent. There was no point in arguing or trying to reason because I chose peace. I will gladly take my money & presence elsewhere where it is appreciated. read more

My nails look great, but it was not as covid friendly as all of the reviews say. It was pretty cramped in there and you could see that things were not cleaned frequently (the glass separators had a film of dust, the gel light was covered in dust and dirt, they used the same nail instruments on me as with other clients). I have a fun bout of social anxiety so I put on an extra mask and didn't say anything. I wish I did. OMG !!! I love this place! I traveled here all the way from Westchester County NY! I received SNS Manicure and a Rose Spa Pedicure! I highly recommend the Rose Spa Pedicure the smell was captivating! My 11 year daughter had a Green Tea Pedicure, which she loved and a gel manicure! They definitely receive a Covid Safety Star from me! Upon arrival my hands and body was sprayed with alcohol and my temperature was checked! Masks and gloves were available! I definitely felt safe! Everything was constantly cleaned and sanitized! Love this salon! I recently went for a lavender pedicure and regular manicure. I made an appointment the day of and was seated right after I picked my color. I would recommend doing this vs. walk-in if you do not want to wait as this is not a place with a dozen employees (though they did take 3 walk-ins while I was there). I was seated in the massage chair right away and the whole experience was so relaxing. I'm a new mom so any time I be pampered by myself and scroll my phone feels like heaven. For 12 years I worked with 20+ dogs in a room often breaking my nails and nail polish only lasting 24-48 hours. When my job ended, and after I quit smoking 2 months ago, I thought it was time to treat myself, a little bit of girly self care, getting the nails I always wished to have. Over the course of a few days, I researched a lot of local nail salons and ultimately felt like In Nails was the best, according to reviews and pictures online. For a girl who never got my nails done before, they took me in right away and set me up with Angela. Angela is a sweet woman, she is cool and funny and to add to that she is an amazing artist. She takes her work seriously, she is focused, meticulous and the closest to perfect as I believe a Nail Tech can be. The other women who work at In Nails are kind, happy and work just as hard. I think they deserve higher than a 20% tip, and I was upset when I read reviews of people complaining about leaving a "high" tip. I've visited Angela 3x, she has dedicated her talent and time working on my nails bringing my ideas to life almost 10 hours total. I give her a $30 tip every time. The quality of work and care and time these ladies spend on YOU, YOUR nail and making it PERFECT, in my opinion, makes them highly valuable! I feel as though they do more work than a typical 2 hours and $200+ worth of highlights from your hairdresser! Also, I watch them sanitize their tools regularly, they honor people with appointments prioritizing them first vs if you walk in (so I highly suggest making an appointment, even though there seems to always be someone available to take a walk in, I have noticed sometimes walk ins can have a little wait) Also Chen is a good owner who takes care of his staff. The tips I had put on giving me an almond - stilleto shape, have lasted me a month so far, and the uv gel designs last me 2-3 weeks until I do a fill in! The first time I came in, the nail technician did a beautiful job with my ombré powder nails. The second time was an average experience. And the third time was awful. I have cuts on all of my cuticles and not once did she acknowledge them (when I was bleeding) or apologize. She also didn't file down any of the excess powder so all of my nail beds are overflowing. Chen Z was very unprofessional. I called before hand and asked how long it would take to remove a full set of UV gel and get a new set put on. This scrawny ugly man told me that it would take an hour and fifteen minutes. It took two and a half hours and made late for work. On top of that, he did not tell me that I would have to pay extra for a color gel manicure. I thought it was part of my UV gel set, he didn't tell me I would have to pay $10 more. I also tipped the woman that did my nails $5, even though I didn't think she deserved it, because I knew I would have to come back to get them fixed. I was not happy with how my nails looked, the nails were not filed evenly, they were all filed on a slant, and I addressed this with the woman that did my nails several times and she was incompetent and unable to fix them. Not only was Chen a liar he was also rude. He does not smile, he does not ask how you're doing, the entire time I was in his shitty salon, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Not even a day later, I had to go back there because one of the nails was scratched and another nail had bubbles in it from not drying completely. Also, the nails on my right hand were shorter than my left. I asked Chen if the thumb nail could be fixed and LITERALLY told me, "That's not our problem so you will have to pay for it." Excuse me?! I just paid $75 not even 24 hours ago, and you want to charge me more??? What kind of customer service is this? He claimed they needed to be paid for labor... are they not making an hourly wage? I called him to try to reconcile the issue and not only he was he unapologetic he continued to be even more rude, and said, "If you want to write a review be my guest." He will soon anger the wrong person and see consequences he faces. If I could give them -10 starts I would. UPDATE after reading his response: I spoke with Chen in person in the store and on the phone and in neither situation was he helpful or apologetic. He literally told me "that's not our problem so you have to pay," numerous times. After I had exhausted every resource I told him ahead of time that I would write a review to document this experience, and his exact words were "if you want to write a review be my guest." It took a while to find a nalon place in Stamford that was clean, priced right, and had good service. I found this at In Nails & Spa. Despite having a couple of nail salons within walking distance of where I live, I gladly drive the 10 minutes to go to In Nails & Spa. I was very interested in dip polish as my mom has been using it for a couple of years now. For whatever reason, my nails don't take to it as well, and it was constantly chipping. I'm pretty sure this is more of a personal issue than with the actual service, because they do a fantastic job and are meticulous with application. More recently, I've been going for pedicures and regular manicures. I know I'm not their most extravagant customer, but they treat me just as nicely as those coming in to spend more money on services. This isn't always the case with nail salons I've been to, so I really appreciate it here. Being able to have a nail place that I can rely on for cleanliness, service, and overall atmosphere is fantastic. Have been coming here since they opened up and am finally getting around to writing a review. The salon is small in size, but very neat and clean. Pedicure chairs have a plastic liner that is always changed. Staff is friendly and makes sure you are always happy with whatever service you are receiving. If you plan on coming after work on a weekday, call ahead! It does tend to get busy and if you do come too late, they may turn you away. On the bright side, this is the only salon (that I know of in the area) that is open until 7:30pm. Prices are great, and there is always some sort of special going on. read more

I really wanted to be able to write a glowing review of this place after reading all of the 5 star ratings...but frankly, this salon needs a lot of work. Firstly, the polish selections are pitiful. If you look through other user photos you can see just how limited and outdated the color selections are. It's painfully obvious that anyone raving about the manicures/pedicures are people who want the look of high end nail art...and aren't willing to pay the price. If you're willing to settle for mediocre nail art then this is your spot! Secondly, when I go to a salon of any kind, I want to relax. I want to feel pampered, I want to unwind in peace. I appreciate tips or advice here and there but I do not appreciate being told that I am "too tall" for the chair...what? I'm 5'5''. The pedicure chairs are uncomfortable and both my friend and I were told that we were "too tall" for the chairs...she's 5'3''. For the duration of my pedicure I wasn't able to find a comfortable position to sit in while I awkwardly had my legs dangle as they were worked on. Also, the water was ice cold. No matter how many times I asked for the water to be warmer, it never actually got warm. I was forced to sit through a pedicure shivering, bearing frigid cold water on my feet on a 40 degree day. Thirdly, it's clear that this place is severely short-staffed and desperate for good reviews so they make a point of talking about how they take walk-ins. That's great and all...but you don't leave a customer mid-pedicure to work on another customer. Once you abandon said customer mid-pedicure you do not proceed to make comments about how they're too tall for the chair and berate their callouses. Thanks, I work hard on my feet 8 hours a day, five days a week and I work out five days a week. I came here to take care of my feet. I certainly did not come here to politely smile and apologize for dry winter skin, on my tired feet, my height, my choice of pedicure and whether or not I need a fill for my fingernails. Fourth, you've got to be kidding me with that free massage. Not only was my nail tech incredibly rude, my dip powder completely came off in less than 2 weeks. Went for a pedicure and SNS with tips, also brought in a friend for a pedicure. Overall good experience but the quality didnt last. I was told this SNS should last a couple of weeks but I didnt even make it through one full week before my nail beds grew in and nails began to just break off. They're super honest about what things will look like (ie the pic I showed them was on acrylic but my nails are uv gel so the result wouldn't be the same).
