I went here today to go shoot cool place. Range officer seams like a okay guy Very nice. But never have I ever seen piss poor muzzle discipline from a range officer in my life. In the middle of a safety demonstration me and my buddy counted 4 times in a 30 second period I had that muzzle flagged in my face Definitely need to be more aware where we are pointing our barrels of our handguns and have better trained ro's read more

My best friend and me wanted to try this gun shop, and so we decided to stop by, and literally everyone was very friendly, and nice and very helpful. David, helped us, and he was very knowledgeable with every gun we asked about, and he explained in detail everything about the gun, I really appreciated that, and love how open and friendly he was. I will definitely be asking for David's help in the future, and I recommend him to anyone who needs help looking for a gun. David told us about some classes that can be done on site and recommended us to someone to help my best friend get her CCW. Thanks David!!! The store is very clean, and fresh, they have pretty much everything you might need, the firing range is very nice, and clean and open, you feel safe while you inside. The rest rooms were really clean, and smelled fresh. David introduced us to Mark, Mark was very welcoming as well, very straightforward, and honest, friendly and made us feel welcomed and safe. We signed up for his basic class, and while we were doing that decided to do his next class all in the same day, he was very thorough with everything, explained everything in detail and he really went into everything for us. He made us laugh and definitely we learned a lot from him. We are definitely going to take other classes from him, and we definitely recommend him to anyone looking to learn about firearms, and get a better understanding of them, and to learn how to properly shoot, and aim and be safe. DO NOT GO TO GETSOME GUNS RANGE. They do not allow you to draw from your holster. Here I am teaching my fiance to improve her marksmanship, and their employee confronts me to direct me not to draw from our holsters. And now to finish it up: This so called prohibited action is not listed in their range rules! Do yourselves a favor. Go to a range where they don't confront you for such ridiculous notions. We cannot teach out women to defend themselves properly by telling them to pick up the pistol from the table and aim and fire! Shame on this establishment for telling those who are trying to learn to defend themselves that they are not allowed to draw from their holster like they would need to do in REAL LIFE! TO the owner: Unless your employee was not authorized to enforce this made up rule, perhaps next time, if God forbid you must draw your firearm to protect your own life and your family's lives, the public should just tell you "Hey you're not allowed to draw from your holster! Have you ever walked into a store & wonder if you're invisible? Well I guess I must be. One would think that if a gentleman wandering/looking around your store, he might have a question or two... since I was "never asked 'can I help you find..." I asked a few questions with short/direct answers... Then I asked about gun rental, stand by the gun rental counter, fills out waiver paperwork and then continues to stand Around the gun rental counter maybe i might want to rent a gun. Minus the two employees(talking amongst themselves) I was the only customer Yet no offer of assistance. Maybe they didn't notice me standing around because of they made plenty of "non-eye contact" Maybe they're color blind-because white guy who came in was readily assisted. Then the employee sounded surprised when I asked What's the process for gun rental "oh you want to rent a gun?" Maybe he thought I'd just like to stand around gun rental counters for the hell of it. I like this place so much that I bought a membership. Great selection of guns and various accoutrements. Decent prices. About my only gripe is that the baffling in the ranges could just a bit more padding - my .22 sounded loud, and my 9mm was louder. But that's a minor gripe, and with proper earpro you're just fine. read more

I'm a first-time user of this business. Came in today with my son to do some shooting as a birthday present to him. The indoor range was great and the process was simple and efficient. In less than 5 minutes, we completed the liability waivers purchased the range time and a few targets, which was very inexpensive, and out to our firing points. 'Get Some' provided some targets free of charge and also gave a military discount which will definitely bring me back for future business. Great, professional experience. I look forward to my next visit. BTW, the range firing points are first-come, first-served so get there early. My experience here was great. Immediately right when I walked in I was acknowledged and given the very vest customer service from Matt. He was very knowledgeable whereas I was not. I came in here blind pretty much. I had some issues that happened which led me into needing to purchase a gun. So I just went online to their website first and browsed around, and it was very simple to use. They have a wide selection and I got some input from some of my friends and they recommended a 9mm Glock, the rest was up to me and I didn't want something big and bulky so I decided a 43 was perfect size. The process was fast and simple, fill out a paper, fill out stuff online, background check only took about 5 minutes. Smooth sailing. Matt then showed me proper technique on how to stand and hold the gun, how to take apart my gun and clean it. He just taught me everything I needed to know, and then he even stood with me at the range until I was comfortable enough to be alone. & Not only that, he also let me test try a revolver since you need to know how to handle one for your c.c.w. My experience here was great and I would definitely return here if I needed to purchase another gun, and I would totally recommend it. I'll start with the elephant in the room: I'm Black. Most patrons here are white. I wanted to be more literate/informed about gun ownership, and I thought the best place to find out firsthand information is the gun store. My preconceived notion of the experience was that I'd be/feel ostracized because of my skin, liberal views on gun laws and political identity. I couldn't have been more wrong, and I'm glad I went in anyway. The store is clean and well organized, and the attendants are as open and easygoing as they are well informed. My wife and I not only felt welcomed, but we felt like we were seen as valued customers. By the end of the visit, I knew much more about the process of getting a gun, and we had even made a date of it at the shooting range. I'm grateful for the experience, and my family has grown personally from it. I highly recommend them both for their great pricing and their highly pleasant staff. Even if you're as new to firearm ownership as I am, these guys are a great learning resource. read more

Better prices, better service, good selection, LESS arrogance, MORE knowledge. I was looking for something for concelaed carry. I was certain I wanted a PX4 for the last few months, but went with an R51. Not because they talked me in OR out if anything, but because they knew so much about each gun they pointed out features I liked and didn't like that I didn't think about. Top notch customer service every time. Decided to buy range passes after a couple of visits. Staff is always willing to help, and they are very knowledgeable and don't talk down to you if you ask any questions. I've been to a lot of different ranges in the years, and this is by far the best place as far as service. UPDATE: I took the CCW Class here today that was taught by Mike. I learned a lot, and he was very practical. No question was a dumb question, and he really explained everything in depth. I love that he shared his personal experiences as a former LEO in tough situations. Mike has made me feel way more confident in my decision to carry. I recommend this class to everyone. read more

I was in the state and stayed at a nearby hotel. Checked out some local gun shops. After purchasing the SC1327 mount for one of my rifles at Red Dot Firearms (not much selection in red dots) I decided to buy a red dot at this shop. Nice selection of pistols and rifles. Reasonably priced. I did have to walk up to someone to get assistance as no one offered but I'd rather have that than pushy reps. Young man by the name of Tillman helped me out. Looked up somethings online for me to help out with questions that I had. I appreciated the effort so I bought the optic. Can't wait to go back home and try it out. read more

Terrible customer service. I purchased a used shotgun which was overpriced by Get Some---that was my mistake. However, when attempting to ship the shotgun to California where I live, Get Some was completely unhelpful. Get Some charged me $105 for the transfer but when I found a licensed gun store to receive the shotgun, Get Some was completely unhelpful. I asked Get Some to call the receiving gun store. Get Some said they didn't get a response and just gave up and asked me to coordinate it. What the hell did I pay $105 to Get Some if they wanted me to arrange coordinate with the receiving gun store? I had to beg Get Some do the job I paid them for. They couldn't complete the simple task of coordinating with the receiving gun store. Get Some trying to coordinate the shipment was like a monkey humping a football. Then, when I canceled the purchase and shipment, Get Some said they would charge me a "restocking fee" even though the gun never left their store! Essentially, they charged me $60 to open the shipping box and place the shotgun back on the store shelf. Total buffoonery. read more

Picked up a brand new chrome walther ppk here, brought it home and found the inside was covered in rust. Took it back an hour later and they just said "that sucks" and "all sales are final, take it up with walther." Apparently they don't stand behind their products, nor bother to check them for glaring defects before selling them. Or maybe they did know and just sold it for full price anyways. I went into this location to pick up my firearms which I had shipped to them since they're an FFL, as required by law. I was told I'm unable to use a passport to obtain my firearms of which I had purchased. Per the ATF website, that is partially true. Per the ATF website I am able to use my passport in combination with something like a car registration proving that I am a Utah resident. I called again today specifying what the ATF states on their government website ATF.gov. I stated (as above) in accordance with the official government website ATF.gov, I should be able to obtain a firearm with said combination (above) but I was still denied the ability to pick up the firearms in which I had already purchased. As a libertarian I don't appreciate the push to corral me to purchase my rights back from the government, AKA making it mandatory that I use a Utah license although according to the government (atf.gov) website I can use my passport and car registration. I understand the employees are just trying to do their job to protect the company that they work for, but they should be following ATF regulations from their website and they're not. To validate my statement please go to ATF.gov, choose "firearms" and you will find the following statement: "A combination of government issued documents may be used to meet the requirements of an identification document. For example, a passport which contains the name, date of birth, and photograph of the holder may be combined with a voter or vehicle registration card containing the residence address of the transferee in order to comply with the identification document requirements." As a born-and-bred Utah resident I am incredibly frustrated that my rights are not being respected by this company. I have never had such a challenge in obtaining something that is legally and rightfully mine. I will be calling the ATF Monday to clarify their statement online and let them know if I can't obtain a firearm with a passport & car registration as per their website, they should be updating the website with the proper language because legally, companies like get some guns & ammo can sue the ATF if they are fining them for something that they are legally doing. which sounds to be the case according to this locations employees. read more

While I was at the range getting ready to shoot, I felt something hit me in the chest with a pretty significant amount of force (more than a casing). I looked around and found a small piece of metal frag near my foot. I showed one of the other shooters and we found around 15-20 bullet fragments near the rear wall of the range, some were large enough that it was easy to tell they were from a pistol round (overall shape/length). I showed the guy at the front counter and he asked me if anyone was "shooting a rifle within 10 feet", when I said "yes, it is a rifle range" he went into what sounded like a canned lecture about how irresponsible shooters "like you" (meaning me) are shooting the floor causing ricochets. The canned response (from 2 different people), both of which were specific to rifles despite the fact that the frag was from a pistol round, suggest to me very strongly that they know they have a known safety issue and they want to deflect blame. If they had asked if anyone was shooting a *TARGET* at less than 10 feet; then no, that wasn't happening. All targets at that time were at or beyond the red line. The frag recovered was from a pistol round. There was a *LOT* of frag at the back wall, divots in the cabinets. Some of this frag could have done serious damage bodily harm or killed someone. read more

I had gone in, completely niev about AR-15's. I asked about an AR kit so I could build a complete AR, I asked if they sold kits, the sales person (Tall and skinny guy) said they do, I asked how much are they, he stated 70 dollars, I asked again for a complete kit? He's said yeah for the lower. Then I said I'm looking for a complete kit to build one. Then he pulls out this box that has this piece of shit looking parts for an AR. So then I asked him again, is this a complete kit? Then he says no I need some other lower....Long story short, the sales person made me feel like an ass for asking any questions at all, he had this holier than thou attitude, like how dare I ask a question about an AR. So needless to say that was my first impression of this place and I will never be back. Oh by the way, I went to another business and bought a complete AR. read more

I was not impressed with the indoor range. It is not as up to date as the Murray location, but costs just as much. I was not able to use my usual 5.56 ammo, which I've had no problem using at other indoor ranges, including the Murray Get Some. Also on the lane we were using a ventilation fan was blowing our target around making it very difficult to shoot at all. read more

I have been to this location several times and always received the best service. Connor and Mel are amazing and always helpful. Additionally, they are willing to give helpful tips because they know what they are talking about. The shooting range is very nice and well ventilated. It is fun to shoot here!
