I wrote a review two weeks ago for Get Wet Watersports. It was for a top notch experience. My wife and I got married that day and followed the ceremony with a boat ride around Lake Dora, and the canal to Lake Harris. The owner, Mark, is really nice, really professional and super accommodating! Well, my wife's mother is coming for a visit tomorrow, and I called Mark on short notice to see what he had available. Fortunately, tomorrow is a weekday in the Fall, so he could accommodate a boat for all day just a day in advance! My other review has been relegated to the "not recommended" section of YELP reviews. This happens to me with my own business, so I always view the "not recs" when I check out a YELP page. I think the "algorithm" they use is wonky. So I recommend you check the "Not recs" too. Get Wet has a nice selection of well-maintained boats. Are they like brand new? Come on! Rented pontoon boats? But the value is awesome, because the boats work, they give you a safety briefing, and they are SUPER-NICE! I would rather have my own boat, but since I don't, Mark at Get Wet is my go-to guy. Writing a review on a person that was so disrespectful to my friend. We went the day before on 06/29/2020 and the service was great. We went jet skiing, Phil and Julie was amazing. We decided to go the next day which was for boat rentals. Yes different company but what I encountered with the man working on 06/30/2020 at the other counter was uncalled for. My friend called out "is anyone here" the man that was working for the other side came over yelling and screaming at my friend saying he didn't work there and he told him once before. My friend wasn't talking to him. Then they got into such a headed argument that my friend had to tell the man to move away 5 feet because he felt threatened. He just kept talking crap to my friend. I couldn't believe my ears and furthermore can't believe this company has someone working for them like this. I own 2 businesses here in Florida and would never expect my employees to speak to any customers in this form. The filth that came out of this guys mouth was unbelievable. Absolutely a great experience!! We rented the Jet skis and had a blast. If your under 28 you have to take a (EASY) quiz to obtain your boater education verification- ONLY to be able to drive SOLO! BUT it last a full year and only cost 3bucks. The jet skis are Yamaha and I was able to hit 53Mph... The price was the best in the areas by leaps and bounds. The owner was just stopping in but was super nice and genuine. The workers are super informative and make you feel really comfortable. I wish I could give 10 stars. When it comes to Lake Dora, you can't really go wrong with exploring all the canals and lakes. This is an ok place to rent a boat. I don't really feel like their customer service is on par, they don't really have any. Also the boat had things on it that didn't really work. I have to say being on the lake on a Sunday morning with slight overcast is great but I would have to think there may be some more professional places to rent a boat that will improve your vacation experience. DO NOT GO HERE. If you're a young girl he will over charge you. Here's the story: Wednesday 04/29 My friends and I (four of us) went jet skiing two on one jet ski. Mark the owner told us 280$ cash for one hour for four people on two jetskis. At the time we didn't overthink it paid, rode for an hour and that was it. A few days later my boyfriend and his dad was immediately saying that overcharged and then I look at the website and it clearly states each jet ski can fit 2 people that's 75$. So then we decide to go up and see what he was going to say so my boyfriend then acted like a new customer and said how much would it be if I take my girlfriend on a jet ski and he said 65$ cash 75$ card per hour for up to two people. My boyfriend then replied, so then why did you charge my girlfriend and her friends 280 for 2 jetskis for one hour? He replied they took out four jetskis that's why. I then walk up whenever I hear this and said we took out two and you know that. You charged us 280 for two jetskis four young girls. He immediately starts calling me a bitch and kept lying I said we even have pictures of two of us on one so when my boyfriend heard him call me a bitch he was like do not call her that and then mark the owner followed up saying that he will "beat the fuck out of him" so I immediately start calling the cops because not only did you rip off four young girls during a pandemic you also just threatened my boyfriend. He then followed up and threw the money he over charged us for and said get the fuck out. Moral of the story. DO NOT GO HERE. I will be contacting bbb and also be filing consumer protection lawsuit. read more

I've read a couple of pretty bad reviews, but here is my experience: A couple of weeks ago, before school started, I took my son for a little outing, which included a jet-ski rental with Get Wet. My experience was great, and I have no complaints. I made an online reservation for a $90 1100cc jet ski, but was provided with a 1600cc high power jet ski, because at the time, the smaller units were up on the rack. I thought a sneaky attempt might be made to bill for the difference after the fact, but nope. Felt like I got a free bonus. Part of the way through the 1 hour excursion, the low-fuel alarm started sounding. I had to come back to the dock, which was not ideal, but Mark the owner handled it as well as could be expected. He fueled me up with a smile, and added another 15 minutes to my time. The communication before the ride was great, and the experience was great. I would not hesitate to use Get Wet again. read more
