We live in a valley where the WiFi reception is bad. We tried many options to improve the problem. We bought expensive multi receivers that are suppose to talk to one another to make the WiFi work with no luck, Not to mention a hall closet that looked like a bomb went off with exposed wires and non working routers. I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to make sure the service I received at installation would be the same 6 months later and I have to say it was! Solomon and his team are professional, timely and immaculate. Over the year we have had minor issues, more like operator errors and Solomon texted or called within an extremely reasonable time to assist us. The money spent was more than worth it!! We love our new tv and surround system and what I really liked was he suggested items that were what we needed, he did not oversell or quote the most expensive piece of equipment. Very, very pleased. Solomon is a very pleasant fellow and did a great job. He's also the owner, so you know you're dealing with someone in a position to make a decision. I first spoke with Solomon yesterday afternoon and he was able to come to my home last evening. (My home theatre system was not working properly). Solomon diagnosed the problem rather quickly (perfect) and not long thereafter he was on his way and my home system was back up. One caveat. His service is a bit on the pricey side ($175 for this service call), but let me be clear. I could not be happier and I would recommend Solomon to anyone who needs help. I recently moved and one of my first orders of business was to upgrade all of my audio and video equipment. I wanted to try an atmos set-up in the living room with a number of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers which presented numerous challenges due to high vaulted ceilings, lack of attic access and otherwise difficult access points. Furthermore, I wanted to use mostly my own equipment (some old and some brand new) which turned out to be another challenge as many installers have particular brands they preferring work with. And finally I wanted to clean up some of the ugly exterior network wiring runs left over from the previous owner/cable company. After explaining my goals, my anticipated equipment, and what I wanted to buy directly myself and what I wanted the installer to purchase, the list of competent installers willing to work within my parameters and my budget quickly became very limited. And though he's listed as being located in Simi Valley, he came over to Hollywood to get me a free bid and later to do the work, no problem. I recently bought my house and the previously owner left a huge pile of the equipment (state-of-the-art about 5 years ago) and speakers without telling if and how they worked. I called Solomon, he came over, gave me two bids (one to update things and the other to just make things work). This was great. It was the opposite of upselling and he totally respected my budget. In March of 2015 I retained Solomon of Get Wired Tec to do a complete home automation system installation (using the Elan Home System) in my new Malibu Home. This involved installing/wiring 5 IP cameras, 2 commercial-grade wireless network routers, 4 big-screen TVs with surround sound, and 5 sound systems (in 5 discrete music sound zones) in my Malibu home. Yes, it's a big house. I interviewed a total of ten firms for the job. Solomon's bid was not the lowest but I selected him because (1) I felt he could deliver the best final result (2) he had high consistent ratings on yelp and Angie's list (3) he understood my specific needs. Despite being based in the Valley, I decided to give Solomon a chance and he did an excellent job. He stayed on the promised $34,000 budget and finished the job in the 5 business days he said it would take. They were extremely careful with my home and left it as unscathed as it could be. five months later I'm still very pleased with the work. The Elan Home System he installed lets me control (and see) everything in my house seamlessly with my iphone, my ipad, or universal remote control. I get amazing wifi access from all four corners of my multi-acre property. There were a few instances when my ISP (Verizon FIOS) went out and Verizon's retarded technicians screwed up some of the sensitive Elan settings while re-wiring their Verizon wires. Solomon trekked out to Malibu on short notice and fixed the problems for free. (I should have listened to Solomon and went with Direct-TV/Time Warner instead of Verizon). Solomon and his crew were a delight to have in our home. They installed an Elan system; speakers for music and TVs in several rooms and security cameras on the exterior of the house, all controlled from ipad docking stations or our iphones. They were professional, neat and punctual. We have been doing a lot of work on our house and to have a vendor do everything they said they would do is not the norm, but Solomon and his guys delivered! After going over speaker placement they positioned them in the best place for optimal sound as well as where we wanted them for asthetic reasons, even in a difficult spot. They intergrated our thermostat (that we already had) into the Elan system. They spent a lot of time with my husband going over the placement and direction of the security cameras.
