This was very detrimental to my driving record because in 2022 | received a reckless driving, which is a lower offense of a DUl and that was with a lawyer. That still shows on my record as two points and having a class a commercial driver license makes everything a lot worse. They got a seat belt ticket dismissed so I decided to use them for a red light camera tickets. I printed out my paperwork that they did, mailed my check and certified mailed my trial by written declaration. The court returned it all wanting it on a different form and said they no longer take checks prior. So I kept the check and remailed (another $6.00) paperwork. I got a guilty decision. They told me I could have a trial de nono. A new trial. I showed them my notice that stated " YOU DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO A TRIAL DE NOVO". I was then told I do and had wrong information. I was contemplating doing it and noticed there was no reply from the officer who was supposed to fill out his declaration. Dismissed right? Noone knew. I had to research and found out the officer did turn one in but I could not see it. The clerk also informed me that I do NOT get a new trial. She said they will try to help me with the officers statement and si ce I am a low income senior, a reduced fee. I filled out the reduced fee paperwork at the courts online system. Get dismissed did not give me correct paperwork and then wrong information. I paid extra for traffic court with them but I dont know what that entails. The declaration was mostly filled out by me. This was sooo bad. Their service did absolutely nothing for me, unlike some of the other services out there. They didn't file anything, they didn't assign an actual lawyer of any sort, and all it did was tack on extra costs to my traffic ticket. All they do is put together a package and you follow all these instructions to send it in yourself. Well that package was most definitely not the one I needed. The right strategy would have been an in-person trial where the other party oftentimes doesn't appear and you win by default. The strategy they used gave me an automatic loss. The first time I spoke to someone, it went great. They were informative and helpful. But then once I received the information on how to handle my ticket I had a couple of questions so I responded to the email. That's when I received an attitude and was told to just follow the directions on the email. The question that I had was not answered in the email. I had asked if I still had to send in the payment for the citation, even if I was pleading not guilty. And would I receive a refund if they deemed that I was not guilty? None of that information was on the paperwork that they sent me so that's why I asked that question. That question was received with a lot of attitude on the email and pretty much telling me to stop asking questions and just look at what they sent me. It was not good customer service at all. So I gave you three star because they did their job and sent me the paperwork, but a good attitude and kindness goes a long way. All GetDismissed does is create you a "Trial by Written Declaration", but you have to actually print out the document yourself, send it to to the court attached with your ticket cost if guilty, and wait for the court to mail you their decision. You are essentially fighting this case on your own. Plus my "written defense" looks like it was written by AI. I decided to go with a traffic ticket fighting company, so I don't have to worry about the fine details of fighting the case myself. I have gone through previous traffic ticket fighting companies like Ticket Crusher's and they handled everything themselves, very professionally, and let me know the courts decision. The only money I paid upfront was to them. With GetDismissed, I saved maybe 50 bucks vs going with Ticket Crushers, and all it's brought me was a huge headache. Their Trail by Declaration form is easy peasy to fill out. Once you've done that they e-mail you the completed form and you mail it in with the proper bail amount and you wait for the Judge to make his or her decision. At this point, I said that since they only offer refunds within 24 hours and now I won't be able to access your service for 24 hours, what happens if I want a refund? They told me that they'll be able to make an exception and handle it. Fast forward 3 days later, after the weekend, I try to log in again. Lo and behold, I was STILL locked out. Time is of the essence with my case and this is starting to feel scammy to me so I called and asked for a refund. The CS said that their manager isn't in today and they'll give me a call tomorrow. The next day, I tried to log in AGAIN and it still showed the same error. I got on a call with them to ask for a refund and was downright refused on grounds of BEING PAST 24 HOURS SINCE PURCHASE. I patiently tried to explain the situation and they STILL REFUSED. What absolute bullshit.
