I recently needed red bags or boxes for an event. When I can't find them locally, I usually go to Amazon, but due to their Prime shipping now taking a week sometimes I was in a bind since I needed them quicker than that. That's when Uline came to mind. I was able to quickly find red boxes that would work for my purpose. I ordered 100, and I had them in hand two days later. These were high quality boxes of thick cardboard that were easy to put together. Especially given Amazon's slower delivery, I foresee using Uline regularly going forward.

But my friend that dabbles with the dark side needed to stop here and get a battery for his lawn mower and I tagged along. It's essentially the same format and much of the same merchandise as Costco, but there were some other things that my favorite Washington-based retailer doesn't carry, so I guess I could see how someone might want to visit both to get more variety in the items they purchase. Employees were few and far between, even at the battery center, which meant that we had to trek back to the registers to purchase the battery, which was annoying, and wasn't making me seriously consider supplementing my Costco membership with a Sam's card as well. However the store was in good condition, and kept up far better than most Walmarts.

They also have a great variety of produce and frozen food section. I have also used the tire and battery department several times and found them to be very competitive. I also usually fill up my tank since the gas is often less expensive than other stations in the area. I love the convenience of using the Scan & Go feature in their app. It makes checking out and ordering food at the cafe really easy and convenient especially when there is a long line. The long lines are a problem when returning items. It seems like the almost always have just one employee working the return line.

Need a whole lamb? They often have that. Like to smoke meat? Great place to buy your brisket, pork butts, etc. The meat is very good quality and they have halal meat. If you go over to the other side of the store, they have Cambros, utensils, knives, pans, and more. It is so fun to shop at. While you can buy some of this stuff online, you can hold the ladles in your hand. A bit more expensive but you know the quality of what you are buying rather than waiting to see what hits your porch. And seriously, seeing buckets of mayonnaise is kinda fun.

Everything seems to be where it should be so no complaints so far. I love Sam' s club because of their bakery section. Enough chocolate for you? The icing had a welcoming amount of grittiness to its texture, and the chocolate flakes added a satisfying crunch that contrasted nicely to the moist cake.
