I generally place online orders for pick up, and lately, has been questionable. Not only does the store seem to be out of stock on many items often. Or they are not always in time for the appointment pick-up times. Several times, I find myself sitting and waiting for well over that time, and it would be pointless to go home and return. I've since learned to place my orders for around 12 noon so they are ready for pickup when I'm in the area. Generally, the order pick up team and the store staff are very kind. The store is clean and easy to move through. Everything from food to clothing. Manger John is very kind and helpful as well. read more

Huge huge huge store. Bigger than a Walmart and with a wider selection. Heck, there's even a wall of fish for sale! I did some wandering and found a few things. The cheese section is bonkers. The bakery looked fantastic. Prices are medium to higher than Walmart but yes, it is a better and more pleasant shopping experience. Wide aisles. Bright lights. Clean restroom. Very disappointed reading a Facebook post from one of my friends. She has a disability, and her mother just had surgery. They went to your store today and was treated so terribly. Employees rolled their eyes at them when they requested help loading heavy items into their car, that they offered to bring to the front of the store. While my friend went to get her car, the employees made her mother, with her arm in a sling struggle to push her cart outside. If I had the option to give negative stars I would. This horrible treatment absolutely does not deserve even one star. Shame on your management and employees. Do Better!!!! read more

I rarely ever shop at Meijer but I had received manufacturer coupons from Sanders candy company and per that email, I was to use them at Meijer. Today being December 5, 2025 3 PM in the afternoon. I will never shop there again! After asking for some help and waiting almost 6 minutes for someone to figure out how to deduct my coupons, The customer service lady was only gonna take one as she alleged that it could have been a made up coupon because of some golden mark missing. I explained the manufacturer coupons and an email which I could present, but she was not interested nor polite to me. If you're gonna make someone feel like a thief, then be prepared to get some bad reviews. Meijer is so overpriced and overrated. The only delightful experience was the part-time deli clerk that I met the last time. I was there trying to use the coupons that they claimed were expired so I got new ones and came back and then got accused of manufacturing these coupons. Goodbye Meijer you will not see me again. And if I could, I wouldn't even give a star, but I will give that star to the deli clerk lady!!! read more

Meijer has installed a device hanging off of their pharmacy drive up lane. It extends over the curb line when you pull in. I physically cannot reach the screen without folding my mirror up to avoid it being scratched . Last night I pulled up, folded my mirror and got as close to the curb as I could to reach the machine and the bottom of this device gouged a long dent and scratch in my bumper. Meijer, even up to the corporate level has done nothing to mitigate this and continue to settle that this is my fault. Jake at the corpoylevel described how they took everything into consideration when planning and hanging this device but when I asked for all the plans I was told I couldn't get them! I now have a gouge in my car and will honk everytime I pull up to that window. The (machine) itself shows that this has happened to many cars before mine! read more

This is my second time to a Meijer's... each time more underwhelming than the last. Low energy, poor customer engagement... lots of chatter amongst the employees though especially at the self-self area. This is like a glorified super Walmart, but less super! Food and grocery stock was low, and out on many things with the selves being a mess in many food sections. I decided since I was running errands in Kenosha that I would try Meier. The grocery store looks more like a Target with a huge grocery selection. The store was clean, bright, and inviting. I needed roast beef and cheese so I went to the deli department and was greeted by Emily. She was the highlight of my shopping experience. This store is definitely blessed to have her, she is a ray of sunshine with her positive attitude. She helped me choose the best roast beef which was the London Broil, it was medium rare the way I liked it. She suggested the provolone cheese to compliment my sandwich. She greeted me first by apologizing that I had to wait to be served. The store wasn't that busy however there were 3 customers at the deli counter and Emily was busy helping the customers. I didn't mind waiting. I decided to shop the rest of my store and found everything I needed. I tried the self check out which wasn't a great experience since one of my items didn't scan. I tried to get assistance however no one was around. I waited 5 minutes and decided to place all the groceries I had scanned right back into my cart. I went to a regular check out lane. A nice young man took care of me. The gal who bagged the groceries dropped my lemonade and said that I could go to the back of the store and grab another one. This is where I have a problem. I was tired after a long day at work. I just stopped in for the first time to grab deli meat and sandwich bread plus small items. She dropped my lemonade she should have had someone else replace it or just take it off my bill. This wasn't handled correctly. The prices are a little bit more expensive than Woodmens however the employees are friendly and the store layout is easy to get around. I had another extremely poor experience with the Meijer pick up. I stopped using it for the past 6 months after a poor experience and figured I would try again today, and wouldn't you believe it I had another crap experience. when I received my receipt and checked it against what I received I Found that I was missing 13 items that I was charged for and then I received 3 that they said were out of stock. after 15 min on the phone, they finally told me they would refund my card in 5 days! Some of the worst customer service I have ever received considering the amount of money my order cost. I would not recommend this service to anyone! read more

Stay away from this store. The manager is a turd and does not care about his customers. If he did, he would make sure his employees took good care of the customers that support their jobs. This includes vendors. John is one of those little weasel types with a small guy complex. Short little bald incel. The guy seems incapable of running a clean and decent store. He's out of the loop on what's actually going on in his store. The ladies that work the self checkouts are always too busy chatting to help. They should be doing their jobs. They also always make using coupons a pain. The customer service counter is not we're you go for good customer service, instead it's were you go for more attitude when you visit this store I choose not to shop this store anymore. I hope the manager John is fired or demoted and a manager that will put customers and the store first is put into the store manager position. read more

I am new to the area and new to Meijers, but it is my everyday go-to grocery. If it is not new, it appears to be. It is always very clean and no bad smells hit you when you walk in the door (don't act like you don't know what I am talking about!). The place is HUGE and has groceries, home goods, clothes, eye care, pharmacy and (WAIT FOR IT) Starbucks! Yes ma'am! Love the meat and seafood departments. Great selection and seems to be fresh. I enjoy the pre-made salads in the produce area also. My biggest find was the protein isle! Usually things I love that I can only find on Amazon. I am able to get my pre-workout and bars here at the same price too. The parking is always easy for me and the hours fit me perfectly. Also attached is gas station that is almost always the same as Costco without the membership. The bakery is very nice and I love the doughnuts and cookies. Great selection of liquors also and a built your own 6-pack area that is my favorite. read more

I really want to like this store and keep trying. It's like a toxic relationship and I'm constantly let down on basic needs. Most recently, I placed an online order at midnight on Black Friday. Two items, both in stock, successful checked out, I was charged immediately. I selected the first pick up time offered the next morning, so not to add to the Black Friday chaos, as I assumed my order was a sure thing, because I was charged immediately. My order status did not move beyond the "order placed" designation until 6am Saturday. An email arrived that my items were ready. I received notification AFTER my 8am pick up window to chose alternate selections. One item had no substitute, the other was not what I needed. Why charge a customer with no intention of picking the order until the time it is due? I use other store pick up and they shop your order immediately and hold it. Because you've paid them in advance and they provide a responsible service. Of course inventory will change if you wait a day after the customer has paid. Holiday let downs are the absolute worst. read more

This review is for the bakery. We ordered a 1/4 sheet cake for our son's third birthday from this bakery on Friday and they had it done by 9am Saturday morning like we had asked. The cake was not your typical grocery store cake. It was super delicious. We chose a marble cake with buttercream frosting and no filling. We also chose a picture of Paw Patrol for the top with the words "Happy Birthday Miles". The cake was a hit. I am not usually a fan of cake in general, but this was so good that I had thirds! Meijer Optical sucks. They sell you a warranty on the glasses they sell you, telling you it covers any damage, then when the glasses do get damage they want soak you $50 for replairs. My family loves this location. It's just mind blowing after 2.5 weeks they don't carry a specific size in diapers . And after being told by an associate it was to be order for them to still not be there. The store is generally very clean and has what we need....EXCEPT for baby things. Very strange seeing as this is a leading family store. We will continue to buy groceries here if course but we will head to Target for baby things. read more

Up till today we have always enjoyed going to Meijer, but after today we may never go again. A couple of days ago my wife severely sprained her leg. We have 3 very young children and opted to use your pickup service. We needed food for dinner and they said the order would be ready by 6 which was perfect. They then bumped the time back repeatedly till they were saying pick up would be at 11 pm. We tried to call to get info and we were left on hold for up to 1/2 hour numerous times and unable to talk to anyone. The website also would not let us cancel our order. Late last night they told us our order was now bumped till the next day AND they started bumping the time hourly again. My wife finally got through to a customer care rep named Shereesh who was unsympathetic and acted like my wife should have expected such delays and couldn't give us any expectation on when our food would be ready. We finally had to have her cancel our order a day later, with no food, and a very unsatisfactory encounter with a customer service rep. I work in the customer service industry and this horrible experience should have warranted a more that "there is overflow response". I've been going to Meijers since I was a kid and it's been our go too but my family will need to be looking for a place that is committed to taking care of their customers. read more

This is my favorite store in the area! I get everything I need in here - from food to office supplies, clothes, camping stuff. I have been going there for a while and I'm always being recognized and greeted by the staff. They have a nice selection of craft beer and pastry. This location just opened so of course I was excited. Two days ago I went to the Meijer in Des Plaines and I was extremely satisfied with my service there. Boy, did this location let me down. I want to say that I'm a pretty generous reviewer but if I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I've never had such a bad experience at any shopping center before in my life! I should've looked at the reviews on Google because they are all one star - and rightly so!! Nobody helped us and nobody greeted us. We bought food and some beer. We came from Beach Park in Illinois so we drove quite a way just to go to this location. We must've gotten in line a little bit after 8:20 because a few minutes later we heard an announcement say, "it is now 8:30, please head to the lines if you are purchasing alcohol." There were three lines open and we were already in the shortest line. WE WAITED FOREVER! There were only two people before us and this cashier took a million years to check us out. When we finally got to the front, she refused to sell us alcohol since it was 9:01 and they stopped at nine. IT WAS 9:01! What pissed me off was the fact that we were in line for over half an hour and would've been able to make our purchase if they didn't take forever checking us out! I made my way to customer service to explain the situation because I felt that it was not our fault. This lady not only refused but SHE WAS SO RUDE! After explaining to us that they couldn't sell alcohol, she had the nerve to tell us in the snarkiest way, "Well now you know." Never did we raise our voices and never did we sound like we were complaining. We calmly just explained our situation and this lady snapped right at us. We almost just returned everything we bought on the spot. It was honestly the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. I'm NEVER going here again. I would advise any one to avoid this place as much as possible!! Note: I just had to add that we went to Walmart afterwards. The lines at Walmart are notorious for being long and for having very few lines open, but we were checked out three times faster there than at this Meijer location! read more

This store has been my go-to since they opened. I appreciate the cleanliness, and that it is well-merchandised. I find that their store brand items are often superior to name brands, and the pricing is much lower. Meat counter is the best in town. Employees are helpful and friendly. Be sure to join their mPerks program--purchase spend is tracked and you receive 2% back each time you spend $250. I like that I can buy stamps at the Customer Service desk, saving me a trip to the post office. Just one item on my wish list: they often do not have crusty, artisanal breads in the bakery. You have to have your timing right to be there before they sell through. Overall, a great shopping experience and terrific value for your money. read more

I love Meijer's. They have everything you could want! It's basically like a Walmart but is 10x better :) produce is cheap and fresh looking all the time. And their cashier employees are really friendly! One thing I did not like however, is how inexperienced the stockers seem to be. I asked a guy for a type of long beans and he just pointed out a section for me to check out and said if we have them they're here. Like wtf... Don't you think that if I checked that area I would have found them by now? To mention another occasion, I asked the stock boy where I could find the sun chips and I guess they were recently moved and he didn't know where they were, he shrugged it off so I spent 15 mins looking by myself. I don't know, so far I think the cashiers are the only ones who seem to know what their job entails. But eh whatever. read more

This store is always low on inventory every single time we shop there. Never any employees around. If there are they are chatting and not working. The shelves are always bare. If they can't afford to stock the store they should shut it down. The last shopping trip was so disappointing, item after item not available on the shelf. Men's razors, Men's shower soap, anti-acid medicine, dog treats, plastic storage bags and a few more. Not a lot of other options for shopping here in Kenosha, but will try to find one. Today I got gas and then went shopping, I went to register 19 were Krystal was there to check me out. Since she is in training she had to call for her training supervisor to unlock the register. After waiting for about 5 minutes I put back the impulse buy item I had added to my selection. Shortly after that the gentlemen she was waiting for passed us bye an went over to the self checkout. This trainer/supervisor had come near us previously and even went up to the customer service desk ignoring us. Consequently I returned my refrigerated goods to the shelf at about and left the store at about 5:58 pm to a sarcastic enjoy the rest of your day from the front end supervisor. He clearly should not be running the front end of the store. Krystal tried to give the excellent service customers expect, she just couldn't with him in charge. read more
