It's not Costco. Instead of Kirkland it's GFS, it's a heck of a lot smaller, you don't get all the great samples (except for their coffee), you don't get bags either though they have boxes. Great for restaurant owners looking to safe on bulk items, anyone throwing a party event can find most of what they are looking for, perhaps you liked a particular product you had at a restaurant (e.g cake, dressing, pasta sauce) you may be able to find it here. You get a little of everything at GFS. The prices are more than reasonable and you get excellent service. The store is ver well organized and clean, They have cool shopping carts as well. Just remember it's not Costco so you don't get too excited.

Good prices on some of the items. If you're having a party and need a quantity of food then this is the place. If you're looking for a huge variety this is not the place. The produce area needs a little attention. There were quiet a few spoiled things that my mom and I grabbed.

GFS Marketplace, or Gordon's Food Service, is a warehouse type store located along N. Dale Mabry, right next door to Red Lobster in the heart of Carrollwood. GFS offers bulk food, restaurant supplies, and assorted catering and party supplies in a warehouse-environment. Think of it as the grocery section of Sam's, BJ's or Costco, and you've got the basic idea. The stores offer a wide selection of the finest quality fresh meats, pork and poultry, ready for immediate use. Additionally they have canned, packaged, and frozen foods, bulk spices, family-sized snacks, party food, supplies, disposables, and restaurant-quality cooking and serving products. If you own a small deli, lunch counter, food truck, or catering business then GFS is a place that you'll want to frequent. As for the rest of us, if you are feeding a large family, or planning for a party then you'll find that GFS has a wealth of supplies to make your life a lot easier. I'm throwing a Super Bowl party this Sunday, so I went to GFS to buy large bags of frozen chicken wings, celery sticks, baby carrots, assorted nuts, chips, snack mix and sodas. Also picked up plastic cups, plates, bulk napkins, trash bags, and all of the essentials. Highly recommended for your Super Bowl party needs!

They do sell some bulk sizes but the bulk items are pricier than the big box guys and a lot smaller in store size.

Trying to be the best example I can be, fast food is the last choice on my list to feed everyone as I don't always have the time to cook a good, healthy meal. Mind over matter to the rescue! Not only can I satisfy everyone's picky palates, I can fulfill my protein goals and keep the carbs (simple carbs of course, ha!) Low. And for those of you who are obsessive with macro counting like me, the macro count is clearly found on the label. These "healthy" meals are still tasty and love that they don't have that "preservatives frozen meal" taste. The meals are about $10 a piece but you're paying for convenience as well as "healthy". Health is wealth. Healthier foods are always going to be more costly. You have the option of delivery but why pay the extra fee when they have so many locations to pick up from. Can't make it during their hours of pick up? No problem. Just shoot them a message and they make it convenient for you. Oh and the lovely little boxes the meals come in? Reusable! So if you ever decide to get into meal prep yourself, (good luck with that! Lol!), you can save these little boxes for that or use them as left over containers for your relatives at the holidays.

Love the variety of the meals, and the macros were excellent. My husband especially loved that you could do extra protein for all of the meals. Already can't wait for our next order. Highly recommend this meal service if you need a break from cooking every now and then. We picked up from South Tampa Crossfit and it was a quick and easy exchange.

The flavor alone deserves its own shoutout...seriously, SO good (and yes, I'll say it again... the flavor!!). On top of that, the macros are spot on, which makes staying on track effortless. Delivery has been smooth and reliable, and the variety is a huge win. I was previously using another local meal prep service that just didn't cut it. There were limited options and the taste was only okay. FitEx has been a complete upgrade in every way. I have already recommended it to 3 other people. I'm genuinely excited to keep ordering, and FitEx Meals is definitely becoming a staple in our fridge!

Inside is just a front counter with a microwave on it and the register. To the right of the door are two freezer/coolers that hold all the meals available. On the left they have a bunch of different protein bars. They usually have a wide variety of entrees, a few breakfasts, an overnight oat, and one, maybe two protein desserts. All of their entrees seem to be between 400-500 calories, with anywhere from 30 - 45 grams of protein. I love that every entree is tagged with all that information, plus the expiration date, although I wish that some of the entrees included what exactly was in them. For that, you have to ask the guy working the counter. Four entrees usually cost around $48 with tax. I have tried many different things but so far my favorite has been the tacos and salmon. These are the perfect meal when you don't feel like cooking; each meal heats up in the microwave in about 2 minutes. Make sure you register for their points program - I've already earned $5 off my next visit.

[South Tampa] Mealcab service has always been very good to me. I have tried a handful of other…read morerestaurant delivery services, but so far Mealcab has been the most reliable. I still order from other services occasionally (Mealcab's list of restaurants for the Hyde Park area is limited /other companies offer different lists of restaurants, and I'm always looking to find the best service possible) but have had more negative than positive experiences with the other services. It seems all these delivery services go through the same types of issues - wrong orders, cold food, missing items, lengthy delivery time - and although I have had a couple issues with Mealcab, they were relatively minor and were easily and promptly corrected. Other delivery companies I have ordered from demonstrate a significantly higher percentage or mistakes or faulty service. With Mealcab, the service I've gotten has been relatively consistent and the food arrives in a timely manner. This is not to say that Mealcab has offered completely flawless service; one time they did made a notable mistake, but they had it fixed - I noticed an order was missing from the bag (unfortunately long after the driver had already left), but after a phone call and a short discussion, the rest of the order was delivered. I recommend the service if you need food delivered in the Hyde Park area (I believe Mealcab services other areas of Tampa, however I cannot vouch for any of those other areas). Most of my orders have been after 5 or 6 P.M. I have had one erroneous order that was fixed by a phone call. The only other time I have had unsatisfactory service was when I placed an order for Gengiz Khan in the early afternoon - the food took a inordinate amount of time to make and deliver. Usually the Mealcab order page shows you when the order has been received, the food is being made, and the order is delivered - it seemed for the Gengiz order, the "food is being made" time was very long. Of course, there's no way to know if those flags are accurate, as I'm sure Mealcab has complete control over them. I hope this review is helpful. As I said, I've had very good service from Mealcab *specifically* in Hyde Park area - but keep in mind, this may be due to location, delivery time and the restaurants ordered from. If you are thinking about using a food delivery service in Hyde Park, I recommend checking out Mealcab at least once. [I would also like to note that I have never issue with drivers "constantly calling to ask for directions," as one review stated, and I do order from Mealcab quite often.]
