There is something about Publix subs that makes them delicious and possibly even addictive. Maybe it's the fresh bread... the exceptional customer service... or maybe it's the whole package! Whatever it is, my youngest son chose to eat "Pub-subs" for lunch nearly everyday during the school year. The deli workers are always there with a friendly smile and a willingness to make his sub to his liking. You can choose between Boars head meats or Publix brand meats. They even have some vegan and vegetarian choices, as well. I'd recommend ordering online during the lunch and dinner times, to avoid the rush. If you want fresh deli foods made by people who seem to genuinely care about your experience there, order from the Publix deli. You won't be disappointed. read more

The sirloin (roast beef?) with crunchy onions, which were hard to find, and no oil and vinegar packets didn't make it at all even when we asked for these. Very poorly made. Why ask what condiments you want if they do not put them anywhere- not in the sub, not in the bag it came in, nowhere to be found. Made for a miserable "sub" experience! Not very pleasant when you need some sort of liquid on hand to dip it in. If I wanted a sub to dip, I would have ordered a French Dip. Does anyone know if we need to call the deli to inform them an order is coming in for a (sub name here) to let them know what is needed, or preferred, or desired? The chicken salad sub was ordered to be a "salad" without bread. Wish they would just put mayo & mustard packets, or those little covered cup containers with it so we can add to our taste, not theirs. Still edible, but when you crash into a blob of mustard, it kinda takes away from what coulda shoulda been a smooth, tasty experience. This location is clean and the employees are super friendly. The Deli has made to order subs and salads, grab and go and some dinner options like chicken strips or shrimp. When my husband and I were making decisions about our wedding day, we instantly knew that we wanted Publix to somehow be a part of it. We had about 80% out of town guests and our biggest desire was to showcase all of the things about "our home" that we love. The minute after we booked our venue, they gave me a list of cake bakers. Publix Catering was on there! BINGO! When I first set up a meeting with the women at Publix, they were SO kind and attentive to all of my questions and concerns. They were quick to provide me a list of cake fillings and offer a sample session (which would be done at home due to Covid). I would highly recommend bringing your in-laws or parents to your house and making a night out of it, because we had a blast! We chose the strawberry/banana cream cake and to no surprise, they knocked it out of the park. Our guests literally raved about it all night long. The price of our cake was SO reasonable compared to other bakeries. The next thing we wanted was food for our bridal party to eat while getting ready. Of course, we had to go with the traditional and well-known pub subs, which did not go to waste. They were fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious. They were a huge hit. We ordered chicken tenders and fruit as well to ensure all pallets were taken care of. Lastly, we wanted to incorporate food as our favors. While picking the catering departments brain, what better option than to do COOKIES! The cookies we chose were heath bar and chocolate chip. Again, another thing our guests raved about. I will no longer shop at this store with the sign, "Publix" on the store front, because this store is definitely NOT a Publix store. Stopping in for a quick bite, I arrive at the Hot Deli to pick up some breadless wings. There are wings in the showcase. A gentleman ahead of me asks if someone could render help. There are several workers there, and one of them is manning the sandwich counter with a line of people she is helping. The others are walking back and firth doing things other than helping customers. I decided to pick up a few items and will circle back for the wings. Upon returning, the wing tray is pulled. I ask about them and am told a lady on the other side took them ALL. I then take a pre-bagged wing package under the heat lamp and ask my order be taken from that. The associate obliges, and thinks I don't know the price is $3.59 for 5 wings. I ask for 6. WHY IS SHE CHARGING TWO DOLLARS MORE FOR ONE EXTRA WING? I place the cute little bag with the over-priced wings back under the heat lamp and pay for my items. This store needs to remove the sign, "Publix" from its' store front. I'll be sure to warn friends, family and associates to be careful not to shop at this store. read more

Not impressed. Waited for a rotisserie chicken for over 30 mins when they said it would take 10. No hot chicken out at all. It's 4 o'clock on a weekday the store should know people are stopping to grab quick dinners for their families. Not too happy when I left, people in the deli worked slow, didn't seem to have any concept of time. sandwiches are tastg but every Publix crams and overloads your sandwich with an exaggerated amount of vegetable toppings using a huge knife to force the sandwich closed. when you bring your sandwich home , it never fails to explode all over the floor and table and after yo eat you spend ten minutes cleaning the floor and table of all the greasy vegetable toppings strewn everywhere. This certainly isn't the most extensive Publix in the area, but I always find that the staff is friendly and the products are well stocked. This is a great location to stop at on the way home from work if you just need to pick up a few things, but I wouldn't recommend it for a big shopping trip where you might need to find specific items! read more

We went to go pick up chicken for a work function.  So, evidently there's a pattern of not having chicken ready in the deli so today was not any different. The deli told us to come back in 20 minutes, but when we came back in 20 minutes, the chicken had 4 more minutes to cook. Publix chicken is delicious so ya know that we waited the extra minutes! We grabbed the 3 boxes of hot, fresh chicken and went up to the counter to pay. When we get up to the counter to pay Melina, one of the assistant managers,  comped us 1 box of chicken. Word to Big Bird! Now that's customer service Publix! Publix, I urge you to get your deli game right and lower some of those prices then shopping would be a pleasure ! read more

The Deli Sandwiches are the best. After an awesome day at the beach my husband and I were starving. The best choice. The girl making our sandwiches is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. Publix is such an awesome grocery store / supermarket chain, and this one is close to where I live so I can stop in whenever I'm out running errands. You'll find this Publix in a shopping center along N. Dale Mabry at Linebaugh Avenue in southern Carrollwood. This particular Publix is a smaller neightborhood-sized market, but they do a great job of keeping the shelves stocked with a wide selection of groceries and merchandise. They have an outstanding bakery, deli, seafood counter, butcher counter, and fresh fruit & produce counter. Unfortunately they don't have a pharmacy inside this market, otherwise they'd get a perfect 5-stars. The customer service at this store is some of the best in town, and the checkout clerks are extremely friendly. This is a great place to be a regular! read more

This is one of my friendly neighborhood supermarkets. This Publix is smaller than most and has a smaller selection than other Publix stores. The staff are helpful and I can always count on buying a BOGO item that was not on my grocery list since the BOGO items are always great. There are always ice-cream and coookies on sale. Very nice, new upscale Publix. Immaculate and wide aisles with a large selection of grocery items. I particularly liked this publix because they actually sell fresh fish! Most public fish counters sell fish that have been defrosted from the bulk freezer bags (especially the awful shrimp). And usually you can smell the fishy odor at their counters. This publix display is bright, clean, no odor and actually sell fresh fish. Staff are friendly and helpful and appear to be eager to be there. Also a large Greenwise selection, quality meats and bakery. It is my new favorite Publix worth driving a few more miles to. read more

Publix is definitely a peaceful place to shop. I love going grocery shopping here and love the nice employees and managers. Every time you have a clueless look on your face they're there to assist you without asking. I went in to look for jalapeño chips the kettle brand and the employee came and asked me if she could assist. She took her phone and found the item and then went to the back and looked for it. The item wasn't there but I appreciate her looking! I have never had to take anything back while there! The lines move quickly and the cashiers are always nice and pleasant. I always forget about this Publix being tucked away in this shopping plaza and now I know why. This has to be one of the smallest Publix locations in existence. It's so small that there is only one way in and one way out. The entire store felt very compact and congested and almost uncomfortable at times. I was only picking up a few things and just the layout of this location really threw me off. It felt like items were all over the place and the selection was a little smaller than your typical Publix and that is obviously due to the size of it. The aisles were narrow making hard to navigate around someone else's shopping cart. The employees were nice and while they only had a total of eight checkout lanes, a majority of them were open, which is rare compared to most grocery stores. While Publix always beats alternative places to shop, this Publix was just a little too small for my liking. Luckily, there weren't too many people shopping in here during my visit as I wouldn't want to be in there when it gets busy. read more

The staff here are friendly and helpful, they have a good selection of food and other items although this location is a bit smaller than some of the other locations. Tiny store, has the essentials, not everything, but the parking lot is a major nightmare. I found all the bogos on my list except one. Go to the gas station next door to get a light to take a left onto n dale mabry. Had one great sub there and two average one, one with stale bread. Also: check next to gas station there is a furniture shop and there is room for about three cars. I think they converted a former CVS drive-thru into three spots so that's an uncommon place to park you can also park at the Shell and walk over. read more

First, this is a "mini Publix" I think there are only 9 aisles. If you are making some wild recipe or need some really specific things, I would go to the Publix at Gunn and Anderson. That being said, I absolutely adore this Publix. The staff is so, so friendly. I am a sucker for great customer service, and these guys ROCK it. Everyone from the Bakery to the Deli to the stock boys to the checkers are just the nicest people and always willing to help you find something or check in the back. THIS PUBLIX MAKES THE BEST SUBS AROUND. Hands down. Better than the Publix on Waters, better than the one on Anderson, better than the one more north (when it was open). I don't know what it is but DANG they are amazing. This Publix, though small, has really risen to the occasion. Ever since the Publix 3 minutes north and the Sweetbay closed at the beginning of the summer, this store has been bombarded with probably 5 times the business. They still manage to keep everything in stock (unlike the big Publix on Anderson), they still have the best employees and they are really efficient at checkout. This is my favorite Publix around and I hope they keep doing what they're doing! Also they've made some small renovations (new Deli/Seafood area, new aisles for water and bread) and it made a difference. Now all they need to do is fix the signs (the water isn't in Aisle 9 anymore, guys). read more

My car wouldn't start and I had purchased a lot of groceries including ice-cream. My car was hot from sitting outside in the sun. My groceries were still in the cart on the sidewalk and I called roadside for help and tried to Uber home...my ice cream disappeared. I am not sure what happened between calling for roadside and talking to them, but my ice cream vanished. I think someone may have taken it and I never found it in my car. I went inside Publix to see if someone had returned it to the counter. No such luck. However, the cashier told me I could get another ice cream after showing her my receipt. That wasn't even my sole purpose, just an individual trying to find her lost ice cream...I was blown away at her response. Even though it was a small lost for her, it meant a lot to me. This particular Publix is odd shaped. When you walk in you're kind of asking yourself.. where is the rest of the store. Everything still fitts but it's just an ackward setting. Go in and see for yourself. The staff like every other Publix is very friendly and helpful. I went to this particular Publix because I once had the best Publix sub I've ever had in my life here. Upon arrival at the Deli I didn't know where to stand because people were all over the place and I didn't know if they were in the deli or the meat section waiting for slices of deli meat and cheese. After staring at the sub maker and her finally making eye contact and asking me what I wanted I quickly replied, 'I'll have a philly with mushrooms and peppers please'. This is where the disappointment occurred. She informed me that all of the Publix counters have taken out the (inset godly trumpets) flat grill and the ovens. You can still get a hot 'sub' it's just ... microwaved now. wahhh A little piece of me died in that store when they gave the news. Hopefully, they realized how big and crucial this mistake of taking those things out are and put them back soon! Otherwise someone needs to update buzzfeed and tell them that PUBLIX Isn't the hype beast they wrote articles about! ... The team at this Publix is GREAT! They go out of their way to provide stellar service. I've found the big difference in the stores here and some in Georgia may be the selection of wine, and seafood for obvious reasons. Everyone is so helpful and courteous. All things considered, I would give this publix a 5/10 at best, but almost every employee was delightful, I had one of the most unprofessional retail experiences ever, my friends and I were in line for the Express lane as I had exactly 10 items. A woman employee named Christina( I think a manager and she had red short hair) snapped at my friends and I, sized us up, and told us in an unwelcoming tone,"This line is for 10 items or less". My friends and I were shocked by it and we were speechless so we went to the next line. The publix wasn't packed and there was no one behind us. It was just an overall very bad experience and this ruined our day. As a retail employee, this is disgusting treatment of guests even if we did have more than 10 items. read more
