They also replaced our rear brake pads and changed the oil and reset the corresponding service reminders. All service was completed in less than a day. The car drives much better (and safer!) now. The relay I got here didn't work and just got hot (it showed signs of being defective). Went back to get a refund. I casually explained to the employee that I needed a new one because the first one was getting hot and just not working. Right off the bat he began gaslighting me that the issue wasn't the relay and was most likely a crossed wire. I disagreed, got a new relay and went on my way. That one didn't work either. I went to a different store (Ellicott City) and explained that the relays clearly weren't working and they refused to refund me because they are electronic parts. I didn't do the exchange again because they clearly weren't compatible with my vehicle or just plain cheap. I got a used Ford brand relay off ebay and it works just fine. Long story short I'm never going back to Advance Auto Parts. Bad experience all around.

They let me borrow an OBII reader (battery is going bad) and the staffer Jamie even verified the problem with their dedicated battery tester. Above and beyond, I didn't even buy anything today. He suggested the best buy to get the parts I needed (their rewards program is awesome) especially the 30 cent per gal discount partnership with Shell. The military discount is awesome.
