I had to leave my office and go to the bank, pay an additional wire fee and sent the money immediately. My customer called me furious the following Tuesday asking me where the engine was! When I called Beltsville, they were very nonchalant and totally unapologetic. The engine was finally delivered the following Wednesday. Beltsville Auto Recyclers is the worst yard I have ever dealt with. Unbelievably Bad!

We found Ancash Roadside Assistance on Yelp and called because they had such great reviews. He answered immediately, sent me a location-sharing request, and arrived in about 20 minutes. After spending nearly two hours stranded on the side of the road, that level of responsiveness was a huge relief. Once he arrived, he got right to work and had the tire changed in less than 15 minutes. The entire process was quick, efficient, and stress-free, and we were safely back on the road much faster than expected. My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce yourself before getting started. It was dark, and we were two women stranded on the side of the highway. When he arrived, he pulled up behind us and immediately started changing the tire without introducing himself. I genuinely appreciated the urgency and willingness to jump right in and get the job done, but in that situation, a quick introduction would have gone a long way in helping us feel more comfortable and know that the person approaching our vehicle was the roadside assistance we had called. Overall, though, the service was excellent. He showed up when we needed help, worked quickly, and got us moving again in no time. I've had a number of rip offs and attempted rip offs over the years and usually have an idea of what's going on with the car beforehand and an idea of what to expect. Never been any unpleasant surprises here and they're always very helpful. Last year I had a car with a problem muffler which was overdue for retirement anyway. I drove it there figuring they could keep the cost down if anyone. I meant way down. They were swamped and couldn't even evaluate but sent me to a custom auto shop they knew. I went there and asked them to jerry rig whatever was wrong with the muffler, hoping for like wiring the hanger up or something. It sounded like it was dragging. Turned out it was broken and they welded or soldered the freaking thing back on for peanuts!! It was exactly what I wanted to spend: next to nothing! And I was out in half an hour! Does that ever happen?! When has that ever happened with a car repair in your life?! Most are such crooks. I thanked them profusely for jerry rigging it, he said" oh it's welded, solidly it's not jerry rigged. It's not gonna break." And it hasn't, that was over a year ago. I believe both shops earned a spot right next to st peter in the afterlife that day. As long as they don't blow it they're set for the afterlife. I will go and review that other place soon too. As it ended up there were other financial hits and I kept the car longer anyway.. but couldn't have without that service. Anyway that's like the complete opposite of my most extreme disreputable blatant attempted rip off by a local Exxon in Ellicott City toward the west route 40 part over 20 years ago. So i walked to the entrance of the yard to ask the lady at the desk if she could tell me the exact location of the other 3 Dodge Magnums. She said she couldnt, that i had to look online myself. I said i did. But i couldnt find them. She called some other short blonde big lady to deal with me. That lady came from the front door with another customer. The lady behind the register told her my question and the big lady said: where is your phone? I said in my pocket. First off, that is not the way to talk to a customer like she knew me. Second, she dont know if people are up to date with mobile devices, she shouldnt assume. That is not the way to talk or treat any of your customers. I simply asked her for the location of the other 3 magnums and she kept saying i need to look on the website. I told her i did and that it dont match the yard. So we both got heated and she told me to leave. I drove 40mins to the yard because they told me they had 4 magnums, i paid my entrance for nothing. I got kicked out for asking a simple question: where are the other 3 magnums you told me you have?
