This is a take out only location. No dine in. Parking may be a bit limited as the parking lot is shaped awkwardly. Ordered butter chicken, plain roti and Biriyani. The quantity of butter chicken felt a little less although tasted great. The roti was fine. The Biriyani was not good and felt more a bit too heavy spiced. You can try out this restaurant if you are looking for rotis or rolls and i would avoid the rice/Biriyanis

After being recommended by a friend, i gave it a try today. It is take out place with 5 item menu, a biryani and 4 type of wraps. the gentleman at the counter asked me if i like spicy biryani which i wanted. Later it turned out not that spicy. The taste is okay, i have had better in other places. The chicken boti wrap was good though. The wraps reminded me the wraps back home in Pakistan.

Tried the fried chicken biryani at Ghareeb Nawaz Biryani Store--flavorful, well-spiced, and very satisfying. Definitely worth it.

Social media had done its work, flooding my feed with the golden bowls of appa from Colombo street stalls and rooftop eateries across the island. The question was whether this unassuming Scarborough plaza outpost could answer that call. It could, and it did. Hopper Hut occupies a modest space tucked into a nondescript strip mall on Ellesmere Road -- a setting that makes no architectural promises and need not. The dining room at the back is functional and warmly utilitarian, evoking the no-frills confidence of a kitchen that trusts its food entirely. The atmosphere is decidedly casual, bordering on spartan, yet there is something deeply familiar and unhurried about it -- a kind of timeless, neighbourhood authenticity that more polished establishments spend years trying to manufacture. The hoppers themselves are the undisputed centrepiece, and they deliver with conviction. Fermented rice-flour batter, lacework-crisp at the edges, yielding and softly chewy at the bowl's centre -- the texture is precisely what the form demands. One is advised, however, to receive them with immediacy: like all great bread, the hopper is a creature of the moment. The short journey home diminishes their crispness in a way that no reheating can fully redeem. Plan accordingly.

Our server was able to keep our order in mind despite us being a party or 10. That was impressive. As for ambience. Honestly was kinda outdated but felt like a piece of home.

Upon entering I was greeted by eager staff and Chef Ram himself. They seated me at a table and confirmed if I was there for the lunch buffet. The personable staff offered to bring drinks and ushered me decent buffet offerings were beyond expectations. The buffet consisted of both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian options including a salad bar, Achar (pickles), Dahi / Raita (yogurt / with cucumbers), Chutney, Veggie Samosa, Onion Bhaji, Vegetable Pakora, Fish Pakora, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Tadka, Mutton Curry, Chana Masala, Jeera Aloo, Basmati Rice, and Naan. While I was disappointed there was no Saag Paneer on the lunch buffet, there were plenty of other vegetable options available such as Vegetable Jalfrezi (Mixed vegetables cooked with onions, tomatoes, green peppers, and spices). For dessert there was Gulab Jamun, Kheer and fruit. Chef Ram has over 35 years of experience perfecting his secret recipes which delight customers daily. Glad to have visited such a fine establishment.
