GHO keeps current model Specialized bikes for rent and the bikes my group rented were in superb condition. The shop had the bikes ready and waiting for us when we arrived and they were near perfect. I was in town from Kansas City to do some riding. My bike broke the first day and unfortunately they didnt have the part to repair it. However they decided to just let me borrow a e bike of theirs. I even tried to pay for a rental. They insisted on letting me borrow since they couldn't fix my bike. They literally gave me specialized levo s-work, 10,000 bike for nothing. They went above and beyond for someone who at the time wasnt even a customer. I cannot thank them enough for saving my trip. I will not by another part, accessory, or bike from any other bike shop. The store is aimed at providing you a high quality experience on a Specialized brand bike that will demonstrate the value of owning a Specialized. I've rented on two separate trips to Bentonville, trying out different sizes, as I can ride a medium or a small. The bikes were ready and their crew got me set up on the suspension, answered all of my questions about bikes and local trails. On one occasion I reserved a bike and had to cancel my trip - they were very helpful and accommodating in rescheduling. Highly recommend for the discriminating rider looking to rent the best bikes and experience Bentonville area trails - one warning - you will be spoiled after this experience - by the bikes, the staff and the plethora of incredible trails in the area! Rented a bike from Gearheads a few weeks ago, and my experience was pretty weak. The reservation process was easy (more on that in a second) and the guy who set me up on my rental was very friendly. The bike they gave me was a 2-3 season old Stumpy, and it rode like it had been beaten to a pulp. It was creaky, shifted poorly, and overall just felt tired. I realize rental bikes are put through the ringer, but I've experienced that most shops refresh their inventory and maintain their bikes a bit better. As mentioned, the online reservation system was easy to use. I only needed the bike from 4-5:30 pm, but because the shop closes at 5 (a couple hours earlier than Phat Bikes) I had to return first thing when they opened the next day. This was not only less convenient as I had to get a bike rack to get the bike around on my rental car that night, but they charged be for 2 half days. I asked if I could just pay for one half day and a late fee, or one full day since the two periods were consecutive and well less than 24 hours, but they refused. Thus, it was $130 for 90 min of riding. So be it. For what it's worth, my colleague did not reserve in advance and asked at 3:45 if he could rent a bike with me, and they said they could not because they closed soon (75 min later) and needed time to prep the bike, etc. Not sure what prep was done given the condition of my bike, other than seat height and suspension sag, which I could have set myself. In general, Gearheads would work in a pinch but I'd look elsewhere first.if read more

They messed up our rental order and effectively ruined an entire day of riding during our stay in the area. Additionally, the rental they put us on for half a day had a dropper failure that couldn't be fixed. They offered no apology for their scheduling mess up or their rental being clapped out. I regret buying my expensive bike here on a previous trip. They have lost several customers over this experience. Avoid this place. There are plenty of good alternative shops in the area. read more
