They said it was to recoup the credit card fee. What's that? Maybe 2 or 3%? My bank said they'd get the fee back when they reversed the charges. I just want to warn people about the cancellation policy. The VRBO cancelled without any fees because it was early enough. Sheesh!! Kind of steep!! They must LOVE cancellations. $44 for nothing. A friend of mine and myself rented bikes from this place and wish that I hadn't. We paid extra for premium e-bikes and they were trash, the first day the front chainring came off my friends bike and that caused the chain to break, we had to wait for the shop to come out and fix it. Both bikes had bald tires that made riding very sketchy and dangerous. On the second day I got a flat and I am glad we had a spare tube with us because all the sealant was dried up. Also the motors kept overheating and we had to constantly stop. And don't even ask about the noise the bikes made, lube and check the bearings, it was absolutely a horrible riding experience. When we returned the bikes I was supposedly given a $160 refund that never showed back up on my card. When I told them about the tires they didn't care and just put the bikes back for the next sucker to rent, people are going to get hurt from these heaps. Do yourself a favor and find another company to rent from!
