HUH?!" told buddy to come outside the store and try the exact same thing. their again MANAGER flipped me off and said to go fuck myself. this was over trying to EXCHANGE HEADPHONES THAT I BOUGHT AND PAID EVEN MORE FOR A WARRANTY ON!!! what the hell happened to people? get a job that pays more than minimum wage you miserable jerks.

They were able to locate one at their Guildford store and they made arrangements with Guildford to keep it aside for me for the next day. On Saturday January 3 at approximately 3 pm we were at the Guildford store. We were told it was a two and a half hour wait. I approached an agent who identified himself as one of the managers. I explained to him my circumstances. I'm a woman in my 80's who 2 weeks ago had major knee surgery . I even showed him the ten inch incision that I needed to constantly apply ice treatment to ease the pain and swelling and that my phone was my lifeline. He paid no heed to my circumstances - I had to take my place in the queue. I would certainly be given priority status boarding on airplanes or similar places for a person with such a disability. I do not see why Apple would not. Guildford store can trace me as I doubt anyone was there with an XS on January 3. Their receipt is dated January 4 when the phone was picked up. Be nice to get an explanation from them.

The manager of the store was so adamant to accomodate my request. I explained to him that I have to drive back home and back to the store for two hours or so to get my card. I am trying to give him some optons to prove that I am a teacher (e.g T4, work emai, google search, etc) . OMG, nobody trusts anybody anymore, SAD! He said that some people cut/edit the card and take a picture and use it as a discount, unbelievable! Fortunately, D who works there, an Apple training instructor, and also a teacher is more knowledgeable to know who a REAL teacher is and was able to find out that I am a public school teacher who can avail an Apple Educator Discount. So D was great, indeed! But the manager was not!

I don't write negative reviews often, but this has been one of the worst consumer experiences I've had ever. Event: I brought a 6 month old phone with a cracked screen for them to repair; they promised multiple times that it was an original screen. In my rush to get it fixed, I did not verify. What I received afterwards was a screen with strong yellow tinge and streaks, with major heating issues and a battery that no longer worked - it discharges very fast and cannot last more than half an hour. The fingerprint unlock function also disappeared - not disabled, but disappeared. I went back to them, of course. I even went to BestBuy to compare it with the new phones on display to make sure I wasn't crazy. While I was liaising with Angel this whole time, who is always friendly, I was received by a man who they called the technician. He was rude, aggressive, and utterly dismissive; when I told him about the issue, he interrupted and told me that I had to get it verified that there was an issue. Then he asked me to take it up with the manufacturer, and say that they will refund only if the manufacturer refunds them (???). He refused to contact them for me, and told me that I can go to court if I wanted to. He completed denied responsibility. I was infinitely perplexed by this interaction, especially by the way the employee was trying to intimidate me. The story progresses over the next few days when the manufacturer denied that anything was wrong and a Google-authorized repair shop confirmed my findings. They offered to refund $60 of the $330 I paid for a service that was not rendered and a broken phone. When asked further about the authenticity of the screen, Angel denied that she ever said the screen was an original, even though I had screen shots of her words (she said it multiple times). Angel asked me to not contact her anymore and said they are only willing to settle this in court. It was an ugly incident. I have since paid another $500+ to have the screen replaced by an official repair shop AND the damaged battery, so I can actually just have a functioning phone. I have not received a refund to date. It was truly my mistake to have trusted them. They didn't even charge that much cheaper than the Google-authorized store - BEWARE!
