On Friday January 2 my daughter had her battery changed at the Metrotown Apple store. However they did not have the battery for my XS. They were able to locate one at their Guildford store and they made arrangements with Guildford to keep it aside for me for the next day. On Saturday January 3 at approximately 3 pm we were at the Guildford store. We were told it was a two and a half hour wait. I approached an agent who identified himself as one of the managers. I explained to him my circumstances. I'm a woman in my 80's who 2 weeks ago had major knee surgery . I even showed him the ten inch incision that I needed to constantly apply ice treatment to ease the pain and swelling and that my phone was my lifeline. He paid no heed to my circumstances - I had to take my place in the queue. I would certainly be given priority status boarding on airplanes or similar places for a person with such a disability. I do not see why Apple would not. Guildford store can trace me as I doubt anyone was there with an XS on January 3. Their receipt is dated January 4 when the phone was picked up. I went to the store to buy my Macbook Air and to avail my teacher discount. Unfortunately, I don't have my Teacher Card with me. I told the manager of the store (April 10 @ 5 pm) that I left my card at home. However, my son can take a picture of it and text it to me. The manager of the store was so adamant to accomodate my request. I explained to him that I have to drive back home and back to the store for two hours or so to get my card. I am trying to give him some optons to prove that I am a teacher (e.g T4, work emai, google search, etc) . OMG, nobody trusts anybody anymore, SAD! He said that some people cut/edit the card and take a picture and use it as a discount, unbelievable! Fortunately, D who works there, an Apple training instructor, and also a teacher is more knowledgeable to know who a REAL teacher is and was able to find out that I am a public school teacher who can avail an Apple Educator Discount. I looked around and there was people standing there and I tried to catch their eye or go up to them but they either went to help someone who just walked in or would turn around. crappy service! Apple double charged me for my Apple TV + Subscription. When I asked them to refund the second charge, they cancelled my subscription and refunded both charges. Now they say the only way to get my subscription back is to reapply. Since there was just a price increase to $129.00, from $89.00 I would have to pay an extra $40.00, which I wouldn't of had to decide to pay until August of 2024. They basically told me tough luck. They would not give me a credit for the $40.00 Their mistake and this is how they treat a loyal customer. I won't be renewing my subscription, so I guess they are okay losing the subscription revenue for each year, instead of keeping their customer happy. read more

I've always received great customer service at all the Apple stores I've been to, and the Guilford location is no different. I finally decided to get a new MacBook Pro, and ended up buying one of the 13 inch ones. After i got home and tried it out, i realized i should have got the 15 inch. The following week i brought it back, and was able to return it no problem! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I'll definitely return here if i need any additional Apple products in the future. read more

I ordered an iPhone 13 online and went to pick up at this location. The customer service, or at least, the individual I was interacting with was not good. I initially approached a rep for the iPhone and she seemed rambunctious. Not too sure what that was about, but I figured I needed my iPhone so I could care less. When it came to taking the iPhone, I asked for a bag at which point she responded we don't have small bags, we only have large bags and I don't think it's suitable for the iPhone. In my mind, I thought 'is this really happening?' , this lady is telling me that I can't have a bag because it's not appropriately sized. I told her, give me the bag, I don't care if the iPhone is too small for it. She went to get it and seemed kinda mad about it. Anyways I walked away with the iPhone and an 'oversized' bag and did not look back. I stuffed my jacket into the bag, so it was useful. It's kinda strange how someone who spends a lot of money on a phone can't even get worthless bag, without some back talk. My wonderful wife bought me an apple watch for Christmas with the black Friday deal promotion! Unfortunately the person in the store recommended the wrong size (38mm instead of the 42mm). So after Christmas she returned to the store to make the exchange. In the process, instead of her just paying the difference to upgrade to the larger size, (because of their "systems & policies") she had to return the $35 gift card that came with it as well. So even though she made the original purchase during the Black Friday sale, the store refused to uphold that sale when she made the exchange. I called them multiple times and spoke with the managers and they just kept repeating the technical jargon without understanding that I'm a single customer justing asking for my $35 gift card back from a trillion dollar company. Dropped my daughter off at the store and she waited about 15 min to get helped only to be advised to call in and book an appointment. While purchasing my iPhone 6s Plus, 128 GB, which I was so excited about, I had 2 gentlemen or Apple geniuses, help me out tremendously. Their names are Harvin & Rajan Rakhra. They went above and beyond setting up my new phone, transferring all the information from my old phone and even went so far as to supply an upgraded screen protector for the same price as the lower-priced one. An unfriendly sales staff named Yuri works at this store. He would not smile or extend a warm welcome to the customers and avoid eye contacts when you try to approach him. When you ask him a question, only then you will learn that he cannot hear or speak and can only communicate by typing on his iPad and making you reply by typing on his iPad, too. This made me very comfortable because I am not vaccinated due to medical reasons and hence I did not feel comfortable touching his personal iPad to communicate with him. I type a message on my phone to politely ask him if I could get someone else to assist me because I need to buy a MacBook Pro and have lots of complex questions and need assistance with setting up the device and with training, etc; and he got very offended, rude, and adamant that he is "fully capable" of assisting me and threatened to get a manager to speak with me and walked away. At this point, I realized that the store manager is just going to show up to make me feel that I am discriminating against their staff and will ask me to leave the store?! This made me feel very uncomfortable and I decidedly to simply walk out of the store and bought the same product from London Drugs store next door. The staff there was not rude and did not make me feel unwelcome or embarrassed and they took the time to patiently answer all my complex questions and train me on how to use the new products without the pain of me having to type every sentence on an iPad and reading every reply off the iPad plus risking myself of contracting COVID from the process. I mean I have no issue with doing that if it was a simple purchase of me pointing to buy something, make payments, and leave. But if it was a complex purchase and the customer needs more assistance, making her feel embarrass and implying that she is being discriminatory was totally uncalled for! read more

I never experienced such a poor service. Arrogance and ignorance of some of the employees in this location are without limits. Based on the statement from one of their employees ( Prathit) , Apple does not care if you are not happy with the service, and you can take your business somewhere else. I just came to the store to pick up my new iPad, and, as I faced such outrageously rude treatment , i promptly returned iPad for a full refund. I have been loyal Apple customer for years, so is my Company that has major Apple account ( 9000 employees ). I think we will follow Prathit's feedback and take our business somewhere else soon. The apple store was very busy. I arrived early for my appointment and after waiting for a few minutes I had a Genius come over to help me with my laptop. Super super nice guy. Very knowledgable. I was kind of freaking out because my laptop would not even turn on. They had it all fixed in 1.5 hours and it was good to go. I was at this particular apple store looking around and killing time. There were two other customers that were in the store before it was officially open at 10AM. I couldn't help but over hear the conversation between the other customers and an associate. The associate indirectly asked the customer to leave informing them that they were only open an hour early due to some sort of technical training. This was twice that she was indirectly asked to leave because they weren't officially open yet. Yet she did not ask for help nor did she need it. She was strictly looking at and comparing prices. She left very irate and put me in a very defensive mood towards the apple team. I was next. The associates asked me what I needed help with. My question was simple. All I needed was a price to fix the switch on my Iphone 4. Surprising enough, they DO NOT fix this. Lets get some facts straight here. Apple will not repair your phone for this, they will just send you out a new one at the cost of about $150. The part alone is cheap. I believe it's $10. To get to this part, you need to remove a bunch of screws to get to it because it's one of the very few things they put together right from the beginning. So you've gotta dig. Despite the fact that I'm a mechanic, I did not want to do this because I have fairly fatter fingers. This should be a fairly simple fix of removing and replacing. More importantly, what made me write this review was the fact that apple seems to believe that they have a "genius team." I think apple needs to get their head out of their ass. If they had a "genius team" why in the world would they be making the same crap over and over again and be behind with the technology? On top of that, a genius would be Albert Einstein, The Wright Brothers or even Nicola Tesla. Apples "genius team" sorry to burst your bubble but at best you guys are diagnosticians. Not geniuses. Most are probably just below average technicians who can pull a few screws out and fill out a piece of paper to order and replace the old unit. Suck a lemon Apple. I will NOT be coming back to this store nor will I be buying another iphone. If you guys can't even back your product up and repair it at fair costs, I consider you guys to be "worst then mechanics."
