May I speak with your supervisor... she's not here...whats her name Fio...when will she be there ...tomorrow...so you'll be without a supervisor until tomorrow...yes. .. Ok I'll call tomorrow to report this. Tuesday...Fio please...This is Fio... your staff tells me they don't listen to messages left on Friday...that's not true...so now I'm a liar?...ugh...can you see where this is going? I would like to give a huge shout out to Crystal in the Hemet office. She was so very kind and helpful with a billing matter. Crystal is an excellent example of a true professional and provided wonderful customer service. In all, my husband had a very positive experience with his procedure, and all the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Can I give them less than one star?! Went to the consultation and set up an appointment day for the procedure. They would not confirm a time. I am hypoglycemic and told them that I must have the first appointment of the day. They told me that they do not set the time of the procedure until the day before and if the appointment is cancelled at that time (because it is a late appointment, instead of the first appointment of the day as I requested), they will charge a $200 cancellation fee. These people are terrible, do not have any compassion for the patient. They are a "mill", pushing patients through without any regard for the patients health. read more

Horrible waste of time. Had an appointment at 3. I was on time. Lobby was full of people waiting. At 3:45, I still had 2 people in front of me. They took a new patient back every 10 minutes or so. I would not have gone to an exam room till 4 and presumably would have waited there at least 30 minutes. Therefore, an appointment at 3 and not seeing anyone till 4:30 is completely unsatisfactory. My time is too important to sit an hour and a half waiting for an appointed time. If I had shown up an hour and a half late, I would have been told that I missed my appointment. I would have been charged a fee and forced to reschedule. Think about it. Horrible customer service and time management. Do not use this facility! read more

Dr. Chakrabraty Jr. Is compassionate and on the cutting edge. He cares about prevention and not just treatment. I have had 4 colonoscopies and this last one by Dr. Chakrabraty has been the best! (The other 3 were with different doctors) The staff at the endoscopy center are courteous and caring. The procedure was comfortable and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Chakrabraty Jr. and the endoscopy center! People complain about it being a mill. This is incorrect! They do not treat you like a number, they treat you as an individual. Have you seen what insurances reimburse versus the cost of doing procedures?? Of course they need to see multiple patients in a day. It is unreasonable to expect that they don't have back to back procedures. I never felt rushed or mistreated. I highly recommend GI Excellence! read more

A couple days ago I had my first colonoscopy and was anxious as I always when I'm doing something the first time. The staff from the receptionist to the nurses and anesthesiologist were very kind professional and were able to make me completely comfortable before and after the procedure . Being a person with extreme anxiety they were very helpful in reassuring me that I would be ok. I would definitely go back again. read more

I was referred to this office, the staff called to make my initial appointment and didn't give the name, address, or phone number only that it was in Hemet. The day before my appointment, I found the number via Google and called to confirm the location. A few hours later someone from the office called to confirm my appointment and still didn't give the address (thankfully I had it) or phone number. The day of my appointment I signed in for my appointment and wasn't checked in until 30 minutes later. I waited 30 more minutes before I finally left. I drove 35 minutes in traffic to only not get seen because the office was running behind by an hour. The entire time I'm in the lobby the front desk staff is talking about how the doctor's schedule is double booked and they are always running behind. This entire experience was very unprofessional and regardless of how great the MDs are, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

I know people, as well as companies, have good and bad days alike, so I can only detail the experience I've had with the seasoned professionals at GI Excellence... My Mother is 95yrs young and her ability to eat solid proteins has been severely limited to a point where her PCP, as well as the speech pathologist, suggested a g-tube might be a great alternative we could consider. This is where GI Excellence comes into the picture. We have had 3 experiences to date spanning 4yrs with Dr.Chakrabarty and staff and to be perfectly candid, each experience has been better than phenomenal. Dr. Chakrabarty did the initial procedure. He explained in detail what the procedure would entail, and also plan b in case an emergency arose. Just a full thought out detailed plan that made me comfortable. The 2nd experience occurred maybe a year later when Mom was in the hospital battling a bout of pneumonia. An on-staff Dr. mentioned "it might be wise to have the g-tube replaced" as they do tend to get gritty. At the time Dr. Chakrabarty was unavailable, which was cause for concern. Enter Dr. Sandra Del Valle, who is on Dr. Chakrabarty's staff. My goodness, what a star, it was like Dr. Chakrabarty had been here. She was that good. Cool, calm and precise. Impressive! This leads to the 3rd time. Received a call from the caregiver while I was at work stating "Moms g-tube had dislodged and had come out". I contacted the PCP and he flatly stated get her to the ER. Time was of the essence, so I took her to Rancho Springs Hospital. They were able to get a g-tube in, but it was very different than the one that came out. Not thinking much of it, I got up the next morning and low and behold the g-tube had once again dislodged. Instead of going to the ER again and in a panic I called GI Excellence. I had the pleasure of speaking with Xochitl pronounced (Sochi); explained in detail the dilemma I was currently in; she, without hesitation scheduled us for a 3:30 pm appt. that day. Amazing. It was less than an hour after that call that I received a follow-up from Xochitl explaining I could come in ASAP if I so desired. When I arrived at GI Excellence, I didn't have to fill any forms, as they were fully aware of the situation, Xochitl got my Mom in and to my surprise, Dr. Sandra Del Valle was there to administer the new g-tube. Once again she did not disappoint. I had brought the g-tube that came out first with the caregiver and also the one that came out a day prior from the hospital. Dr. Del Valle sized up the situation and provided a g-tube closest to the 1st one. She meticulously inserted the g-tube, secured it in place, job done and done perfectly. In closing and with the experiences I've had, you owe it to yourself and loved ones to consider the caring compassionate professionals at GI Excellence for all your GI needs. Dr. Chakrabarty, Dr. Sandra Del Valle as well as Xochitl, Diana and the rest of office staff are the best thing going in the Valley. We have spent a couple years trying to get my son's GI issues solved ( g-Tube ,quad, severely disabled). Getting in to see a Dr, at Loma Linda was a nightmare. A wonderful Dr at temecula Valley ER set us up with GI excellence and we were taken in same day and scoped two days later,, Of corse this was an urgent situation but The Dr's and Gi Excellence are the best. They are working hard with us to get buy son's condition situated. The staff are more than patient with us and although we prefer to go to the temecula office , we had my son's scope done in Hemet to which was a beautiful and clean medical office ,we were treated with the up most respect and excellent care and the DR, nurses, and anesthesiologist went out of their way to explain the procedure and make us feel comfortable,, We choose Gi Excellence over Loma Linda University ! Assembly line endoscopy. The office reminded me of a veterinarian office. Nothing like my first endoscopy with a real doctor in Temecula. They had us backed up and the nurse was very unprofessional. I never have a hard time getting an iv but she had to try 3 times. Finally gave up and another guy dressed in jeans not scrubs finally found my vein. Took weeks to get in with doctor after the procedure. My guess is he makes his money on the endoscopies that he runs through there like cattle. He misdiagnosed me and kept trying different ppis which made m sicker until I developed a chronic bladder problem in addition to my reflux. I finally got an appointment at Hoag in Orange County They ran additional tests that never occurred to dr Chak. And I was diagnosed correctly. I could have been spared much suffering and permanent damaged bladder. Don't go here if you value your health. read more

Personally, if I could give this place and Hemet location, ZERO stars I WOULD!! They made us sit outside in the heat for over 3 HOURS AFTER our appointment times because "they were running behind" I had an early morning appointment at 9:30 and was not taken back until 1:30!! Dr. Chakrabarty is an excellent doctor. The doctor helped save my life when I was in the hospital a few months ago. Before Dr. Chakrabarty treated me, I was in and out of the ER multiple times with no help in sight - I was going down hill fast! Dr. Chakrabarty, however, gave me the treatment I desperately needed, and I am now on the mend. I cannot give a high enough recommendation for this fine and dedicated doctor. read more

I was scheduled for a routine Colonoscopy. My scheduled time was 10:00 a.m. with a check in time of 9:45 a.m. I was done with my paperwork well before the scheduled appointment time. I was escorted back to to O.R. prep area, given the usual gown and review of what procedure I was having etc. It wasn't until 11:45 that I was taken back to the O.R.... I wasn't told what drugs I was being given and didn't even meet the doctor that was doing my procedure, before or after. It wasn't until 12:15 that I was released. I was given several sheets of paper, asked if i had a ride home, escorted (by wheel chair ) to my waiting ride and not so much as a have a nice day. Assembly line colonoscopies at best. As for the procedure itself, I can't complain as i was unconscious, but it seems to have gone well. I really suggest, that if you have a choice of where to go for this type of procedure, research and go elsewhere. read more

Horrible....was actually scheduled for my procedures today....went through the prep yesterday. As mentioned in another review they won't give a surgical time UNTIL THE AFTERNOON BEFORE THE PROCEDURE!!! I found out at 3:30PM yesterday that someone screwed up and did not schedule my procedures. This was after calling three times before and leaving messages but no one bothered to return my call. When I finally hunted down a live person on the phone around 3:15PM, that's when I received the bad news. Also fed up with these people always pushing you to their Hemet facility regardless of where you live even tho they have an office in Temecula. The final straw is that they want you to sign a release form allowing anyone to treat you, perform your procedure, etc. you never see the actual MD, they let PA's and everyone else do their job. read more

I got a referral to be seen here to get a 2nd opinion. When their office called to make the appointment I was told they had all my tests so I didn't need to worry about anything. I get there and am asked "Why are we seeing you?" "....To get a second opinion." "Where are your tests?" They had NOTHING. I was upset so waited till the next day to make a second appointment to try again. They call to confirm the appointment the day before and I have to force them to make sure they actually had the tests this time. They did NOT. They threw all responsibility on everyone but themselves and have zero care for their patients time or health. A friend went there to get a colonoscopy, endoscopy & liver biopsy. When she woke up, she found they did NOT do the liver biopsy because they didn't have all the right paper work. Instead of prepping properly for a surgical procedure they don't do their job and put their patients in the horrible position of having to find a competent office. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. read more

My son has been going to GI Excellence for three months now and has yet to see a doctor. In three visits he has only been seen by nurses and a physician's assistant. My son's GI issues till persist. Last time he was there he had to wait over and hour too be seen. The nurses and physician's assistant seems well trained and is thorough, but so far has been unable to identify the resolution to my son's issues. I really do wish he could see a doctor. read more

Very unprofessional. My first appt took a month & half to get in. After they confirmed my appt, they called the day before to reschedule, took another 2 months to get an appt. That was just for the initial consult. Then it was over 2 months out from the consult to get the procedure scheduled. I needed to reschedule my procedure. Called the week before, left s message, apparently no one answers the phone. Never returned my call. Called again 4 days before, again, had to leave message. No returned call. Then I get messages to confirm my check in. I called 4 times day before, always got answering service who would tell me, they are not in office yet, they are still at lunch, they are busy & I'm taking overflow calls. The answering service could not reschedule me, or even take a message, only said, try back later. I got 3-4 messages from the office to confirm my appt, my calls & messages to reschedule were ignored. I called my insurance about this, they could not get through, I then called my medical group, who finally got someone. The office tried to say they only have the answering service during lunch. When the medical group told the office who they were, the girl suddenly changed her attitude. Said if I called right now, someone could answer my call. I then called, got a hold of someone, told them what I needed, & was then transferred to an answering machine. What a circus!!! I will be filing s complaint with my insurance & medical group. This office, by the way...has a $200 no show fee if you do not call 4 days prior to missing/rescheduling an appt. I'm sure as hell not going to pay that! One more thing, when you call the 855 # on the paperwork, the greeting says it is some kind of resort?! read more
